  1. Looking up recipes online and instead of getting the basic step by step process...you get a blog from some stay at home soccer mom that rambles about how easy this recipe is for such a busy lifestyle that she lives that its eaten 2 or 3 times a month(OK more like 5 or 6!!).

Great now they have me doing it.

  2. You don't walk the dogs. You try to get them to at least step outside to do their buisness but some dogs are just not down with it, so it can be an issue.

I'm now entering night 2 without a furnace. Guys spent 4 hours working on it today but they needed a part they didnt have in order to finish. It'll be a fun story 20 years from now but right now... not so cool.
Jesus wtf... you're in minneapolis and they can't find the part locally? I went and got a big mac for supper to get out of the house... my hands froze the entire time even with climate set on 85 degrees.
  3. I think my dryer vent is frozen. last night my wife was drying something and all of sudden my kitchen ceiling is dripping water to the floor. there were puddles of water around the dryer too. so thats fun.

Not as fun as hooch is having right now tho

Not sure why any small market team fans bother to show up with the way the NBA has gone.

The next collective bargaining agreement should be huge for the NBA. NFL Parody works. The NBA needs to figure out to do the same.

its pointless. Whats the point if you have young players entering their prime when you have superstars plotting super teams in tropical/desirable cities?

the day LeBron retires is the day the NBA might be able to go back to its old self. Theres a  ton of young players that Im excited about. if thats shadowed for the next 5-10 years of super teams being formed, then I'll check back in 2029.

  9. This is going to shock all of you,...  but my wife has been re-doing furniture as one of her hobbies. She will go to some antique place, buy some beat up chair or loveseat, go search out some unique fabric and then take it over to the reupholster guy to rehab. The reupholster/ furniture rehab guy, who we refer to affectionately as "Toothless," due to his lack of permanent dentition, has been doing this shit for her for years now.
To my wife's credit, Toothless is very inexpensive. However, he is also extremely lazy / inefficient / flaky / high / unmotivated / whatever. Since she's always dropping crap off at his shop, it's a kind of a rotating inventory deal. She brings him supplies, months and months later when he needs some cash to go fishing, he finally gets off his ass and fixes it and then gets paid.
Well.... a few months back, his shop goes up for sale. My wife talks to him and Toothless mentions something about starting to work out of his garage, but my wife doesn't think much of it. She goes by there a few days ago and everything's gone. The shop, which was formerly stacked to the ceiling with yet-to-be-fixed furniture, is completely empty. Toothless's phone is disconnected and he has gone completely off the grid. Gonzo. My wife has ~$2,000 (at least that's the number she admitted to me, it's probably a good deal north of that) worth of furniture and fabric at his shop.
Needless to say, my wife is PISSED, "That chair I left him was from the 1700's and that loveseat with the foldout bed? You will never find something like that." Now I have to go into Jim Rockford mode to find this guy. I'm looking up anything I can on him and through interweb sleuthing, I come to find out he sold his shop for something obscene like $375,000. That's good cash for just about anybody, but for Toothless it's like hitting the fucking Powerball. If we can't find him, my wife wants to call the police. You think she has one single receipt from this guy?
Congrats to toothless. His new house will be fully furnished. I'm actually surprised we weren't aware of this phenomenon of reupholstering old furniture mitch.

Because its def not a hobby to buy old POS furniture and having somebody else do the hard work.
  10. Lakers are determined to acquire AD in a trade. Man those post game dinners probably had no tampering at all involved. But I suppose when you're the commish of the league, president of the Lakers, GM and coach...you can get away with that stuff

  11. University of North Dakota,18 year old male is currently in a Minneapolis burn unit after he nearly froze to death over the weekend.

He has severe frostbite and hypothermia...looking at a 6 month recovery.

So if you have a case of the mondays...it could always be worse
