Boston had 3 hits. They will have a tough time scoring runs in this series against Astros pitching.

Astros are really good

I say you just stick with McCullers in 9th unless he gets in trouble

What a badass

Fat umps shouldn't play.

What a strange game. Still waiting for a hard hit ball by either team

Damn this is a lot of no baseball days in the middle of the playoffs. Its like the eye of a hurricane.
Both league series are over. They should have started by tonight. No need to play until November

Do you think Fox refers to right wing groups as the radical right?
If you are referring to the racist neo nazi groups then yes, they are referred to as radical. Grandma baking cookies for her tea party group no. But the left considers fiscal conservatism and capitalism as far right concepts when they are pretty mainstream.

Fox and every conservative news outlet is not nobody.
Your premise is disingenuous.
It's not disingenuous. If you cant call a spade a spade then you are part of the problem. Fox reaches about 3 million viewers a day. All other tv media reaches about 25 million a day. What's strange is you are saying Fox is the only media outlet telling the truth?

for the record, i agree that sometimes protesters can be total assholes. and sometimes they can get violent, or interfere annoyingly (very much so, at times) with daily life.
but you are not describing a peaceful protest. you were describing assault, if you were actually spit upon.
that was in a response to how the republicans castigate peaceful protesters as "a radical left wing mob" to which you appear to have described not a peaceful protest at all, but an actual "radical left wing mob" that was eventually disruptive enough to have been ejected.
and yes, protests can make life somewhat uncomfortable. i was in london once, and there was some massive street protest about some local political issue about which i could give a shit. it was in between me and where i needed to be. it was disruptive. that, uh, is sort of the point of a protest, to disrupt. a peaceful protest does so, uh, peacefully.
but no one ever got awareness by protesting as far away from public life as possible.
that you posted that without a sense of irony, with the username you chose, is pretty goddamn funny.
Yes, but nobody describes the radical left wing mob as the radical left. In fact, I've never heard of anybody from the media describe the left as radical by any network except maybe Fox. The worst they have ever described these groups as disgruntled or unhappy. They are defended and their behavior is defended. If Antifa is ever reported about its Antifa vs. Far Right or Radical Right. Antifa is always given the White Hat. Hell, just last night, Don Lemon on CNN told a guest to shut up for calling the groups in the supreme court a mob. They were a mob. They were harassing all sorts of people. They werent out on the steps outside singing songs and giving speeches. They were beating on doors and scaring people. The left has a strange view of intimidation. Apparently, a sweet lady asking for an ID to vote is intimidating enough to rise to the level of voter suppression, but screaming at someone in their face and threatening them to get your way is peaceful and harmless.

and don't get me started when i saw this bitch with an champagne colored iphone all blinged out buying a shit ton of filet and lobster with her food stamps to go with some cigarettes and beer with cash. drove off in an escalade, too.
totally happened just as i described it.
Well if you dont believe me you can contact the BOEM in New Orleans. Entire procedures and norms for doing business were altered due to the peaceful protesting of environmental groups. There are videos of peaceful protesters stopping traffic in LA and throwing rocks to peacefully protest immigration and numerous Antifa peaceful protesters shouting down college speakers and burning trees, etc. Its endless nonsense

You have to be willing to pay a lot more in taxes.
I'd prefer we not waste so much before taxes get raised to waste more. The government takes in plenty to pay their bills. This idea that higher taxes is the only solution is weak

I’m really baffled by this new GOP strategy to vilify people peacefully protesting as the radical left wing mob.
Did they all of a sudden forget this country was founded by an angry mob?
Old democrats slogan: Stronger Together.
New hotness: Government should be afraid of its people, not the other way around.

It depends what you consider peaceful protesting. I've been in the middle of a peaceful protest in a government building in which I was told to fuck off and spat on. I was just there conducting business. And they smelled baaaad. The security was instructed not to do anything but after 45 minutes or so they eventually were escorted out. The incident did not escalate because people did not engage them and police were instructed not to act. This is sort of how many of these "peaceful protests" go. They interrupt business, traffic, whatever, and piss people off but it's not really peaceful because they are in people's way, calling people names and being a general pain in the ass. They deserve to be punched in the face but people dont because they have manners and/or dont feel like getting in a fight when they need to be somewhere else and they don't want to get arrested. The protesters don't care if they get arrested so they have the advantage. The peaceful protesters act for the purpose of intimidation. They are therefore a mob regardless if violence takes place.

No doubt. Now that this is over and no one was seriously hurt, I find it pretty funny when presented with the whole story. I think the new definition should be do not hit women unless they are dressed to conceal they are a woman, swinging a bottle at your buddies head and then, after being punched once, they get up and come back at you in the middle of a riot. The odds of these circumstances happening again seem slim so maybe we can go back to just do not hit women.

Funny all around in hindsight.
Forgot to add her post before the event that she was coming to get 100 scalps. Yes I get the movie reference. Its just too funny. Watching fights on TV and imagining how it is going to be is different from real life.
Based upon the full context of events, my glimpse into the body language shows I was correct. She must be fun to date

Do you think she walked into the middle of a brawl or did one break out around her?
It looks like it's a brawl and she is engaging him and is moving to either grab him or push him and she got countered with a punch to the face. I guess he could have been a gentleman and let her scratch his eyes out but he played woman beater and took her out.

Not surprised. We dont seem to hit Price hard although historically he is a poor post season pitcher. I hope he gets crushed Sunday

On the bright side, the storm appears that it will move out of area fairly quickly. If you can avoid, wind/storm surge damage, the flooding may be minimalized due to rain

The people on the hurricane board seem to think it's going to continue to strengthen. I hope they're full of shit.
Typically these storms lose a category of strength right before landfall...I'm guessing because of the shallow water. I was hoping the dry air of this cold front would kill the storm some but that doesnt look like it's going to happen as I dont think the front will reach the storm in time

Blame the Dodgers. In the games last year, if the Astros/Yankees were playing the same day as Dodgers, games were at 4pm Central time. Prob same this season
To correct this, this was contingent also on Dodgers playing in LA

It's easy for an 8 team playoff. 5 team conference champions and 3 wild cards. For a wild card bid-must be ranked in top 8 if from a power 5 conference. Non-power conference teams get in if ranked in top 10 or undefeated. A max of 2 non-power 5 teams can qualify although this is not likely to happen.
