  1. Anyone that is totally in the bag for one political party.  Don't give a shit which one they sell out for.

As a Christian, other Christians that will turn their backs on or show intolerance towards folks because of folks' sexual orientation.  Seen this shit within my family and friends ranks.  Jesus said 'Love one another as I have loved you.'.  Pretty simple.  Do you see any exceptions in the that statement you intolerant fucks?

  2. On smoking...

Grandparents smoked like chimneys.  I remember when they moved from their house and taking pictures off the wall and seeing the orangish tint on the walls.  Disgusting.

We walked into a bar in Austin not long after public smoking bans went into effect.  The smell of the smoke free bar was so bad, I remember thinking maybe they should have exceptions for smoking in certain places.

    Cigar smoking...

I know there are few of us that remember the days when people smoked in the stands at football games.  I remember attending night games at Baylor Stadium and seeing a cloud of cigarette and cigar smoke hanging under the stadium lights.  To this day, when I smell cigar smoke, I am transported back to those nights and the times I got to spend with my grandfather who always took me to ball games when I was in town. It never fails to make my smile.

  3. Been to Maui twice. 2009 and 2019.  2009 we squeezed in a lot.  Road to Hana, Old Lahaina Luau, hit several beaches, took surf lessons.  Loved the hell out of the road to Hana.  We had an accompanying CD or App and it was great.  Started off eating at Charlies.  Supposedly Willie's favorite place to eat.  Saw all the falls.  It was June, so probably not as flowing.  I recommended picking up a Frommer's Guide for Maui. There are some cool unknown spots along the way that the FG points out.  Black Sand beach was most memorable.  Water was coooold.

Rental car...I pulled of a 30-35 dollar a day Toyota Mini-Van rental.  Priceline was the shit back in the day.

The only thing we didn't do was sunrise at Haleakala, but we did that in 2019.  It was foggy at sunrise and raining.  It was still an experience since we were there in the Summer and it was cold up there as well.  We got to stay in the Marriot Resort on Ka'anapali.  Wife and I just chilled there and at the bar and pool.

  4. Necro bump...

Watched this as it came up as a suggestion on Hulu after watching The Bear.  We enjoyed it.  I imagine after sitting a year in prison she is still sitting there and thinking she did nothing wrong.

She is in Bryan.  Maybe A&M can hire her to help sling bullshit about them.

  5. Got behind someone the other day on Old Stagecoach.  They were poking a long with a slow weave.  I tried to go around them and they drifted all the way over into the other lane in front of me as I was trying to pass.  So, I was stuck.  I then watched them approach this blind corner and straddle the double yellow.  I practically came to a stop anticipating a head on collision.  Fortunately, none happened.  Erratic speed and more weaving as we approached the red light.  Could have been drunk but it was in the morning, which still could mean they are drunk but god dammit... texters that get caught driving should have their phones and cars seized on the fucking spot.  It's not a right to own a car or a phone you dumb fucks.

This.  Most of these victims apparently are very poor or nonswimmers.  Easier to float in salt water than in your local pool.

You can still get pulled out pretty quickly though.  Went boogie boarding on a red day there a few years back.  Caught a wave but got worked immediately and went under and came back up about 20-30 yards further out (at least that is what it seemed like).

Fitbit. I must know exactly how many steps I take every day. Plus my pulse. EKG.  Oxygen level. And anything else they can measure. Maybe PSA is next.

there is a futureman joke in there somewhere....

Anyway, I have not worn a real watch in 25 years.  I did start wearing a Fitbit Charge recently.

Totally get it.  Title was tongue and cheek.  But Orcas are fucking smart.  It's like maybe a boat fucked up one of the calves and so that pod went all Denzel in Man on Fire, and also told the other pods to fuck up all of the boats. The recent rise in coordinate attacks is absolutely fascinating.

There is another example where an Orca actually actively worked with a boat to help free its calf from a fishing net.

    No shit.  Re: Title.

We are planning a trip probably to the Pacific Northwest or Alaska to be able to see Orcas in their own habitat.  They are indeed fascinating creatures.  Arguably the smartest on the planet given the dumbassery on constant display by humans.

But back to your point about "why?", I agree it is probably some kind of revenge plot that they are coordinating and executing.
