Be a shame to end up losing this one, especially to that bitch ass Griffin.
Fuck that. Tank the rest of this season. We just lost 3 of our starters. We get a player who might not even play this season. Try your hardest to keep the pick for this summer's draft. Draft has a lot of talent. Playoffs are not on the radar at all this season. Play entertaining ball and that's all I ask. I sense you will see some tanking tactics like last season.

Lmao. Going very cheap with this shitty surface after building this expensive ass stadium? This surface always wears on players over time as opposed to natural grass. But whatever for them to save some money meanwhile prices in every aspect will be raised. Cool.

Another thing to mention is that this could throw a serious wrench in the power base of the Western Conference in the long term. The Knicks will be able to sign 2, and possibly 3 max contracts in the offseason. If they can keep KP, the Mavs could seriously put themselves into position to compete for the West in the next 2-4 years as some of the big dogs head to play in MSG 41 nights/year.
I'll believe players want to go to NY when it happens. They haven't been a relevant franchise in about 20 years. I think it will be opposite. You are slowly having players come from the East to West. Lebron was first. Kawhi I think will be next. Already talks of Kyrie wanting to reunite with Lebron. That would be another.

Been on this take since all this DSJ drama started. You don't give up on a young player that quickly. You make it work or find a coach that can. I've advocated for a fresh new coach for awhile now. I think it's time. Rick isn't the best with a young, blossoming team. He's much better suited for the team we had when he got here, which was led by a veteran nucleus.Probably a friendly take for this group, but I agree with Kirk Henderson: Wes and Barnes (and Carlisle, to the extent that he’s putting the ball in their hands at bad times) are the problem, not DSJ. DSJ+Luka together are too intriguing to give up on now.
Barnes and Matthews are both nice role players who are being asked to do things that aren’t ideal for them. The Mavs should trade them for what they can, ideally promising youth.

Saints misery is hilarious. Fuck them.Good lord Sean Payton is a little bitch. At least Matt Patricia had the balls to wear the shirt out in the open. And by the way Sean, your shitty clock management cost your team the game

2018 - 2019 Dallas Mavericks: Throw Some D's

Yeah this trade is a big gamble. We are giving up a very good, young player in DSJ. Someone we thought highly of in that draft. We get a guy who is very injury prone. His production has declined in the 2nd half of every season he has played. He plays limited minutes. That tells me his body can't handle an NBA season so far. I know some will compare this to Curry and how he was injury prone but a small guard with ankle problems is not even close to the same as a big with ligament/knee problems. That is very scary. ACL injuries for big men is nothing to sneeze at. I keep seeing the accepted narrative is the Knicks got fleeced. I don't see it like that. They got rid of KP who didn't want to be here, who is hurt and just has not lived up to the hype. Have to be on the court to do this and he just hasn't consistently. They get a very good player in DSJ. Expiring contracts. They are terrible enough to get a top pick and get Zion or if not him, another top quality player to pair with DSJ. Draft picks from Dallas. And the ability to go get star players in free agency. Now time will tell if they actually get anyone. But they were going nowhere with KP. Hell DSJ might be a better player for his career than KP.
