From what I gather the main backer suddenly pulled out and left them broke. The NFL wants this particular league to survive for now so it will.
So the backer did not have to sign any type of agreement to keep him from doing this? Seems like a shit thing to do. Just pull the rug out whenever you want, especially after the season already started.

How the fuck is a league allowed to form and exist and they can't even make payroll in the first fucking week? Makes no sense. Do they not have to prove they have the means to pay everyone's contracts for the entire duration, much less the first week? Lmao. Embarrassing.
These leagues won't last. The novelty of it being new will wear off after a few weeks and people will get bored. March Madness is coming up. NBA is nearing the stretch run. as is NHL. MLB starting soon. I for one am burnt out on football after a full season of NFL and NCAA along with following Texas High School football. I don't need to watch subpar football to get my "fix".

I wouldn't doubt that for a second. There are a few episodes where he plays the random voice on a radio broadcast.
In fact, they said most of the actors who played on here were educated. I want to look up some of their other roles. I'd like to see how Otis Campbell is in other movies. You can tell he articulates himself very well. When he received that award for being the descendant of some Civil War hero, he talked very proper and cleaned up well. I'd like to see Goober and Ernest T in other roles as well. See how wide range their acting abilities are. I don't know of these actors outside of this show seeing how they were well before my time.

I can't ever recall seeing a Hispanic person panhandling around here. It's usually white and black people, men and women about 50 /50. Never seen an Asian person panhandling in my life.
Yep them either. Or Middle Eastern descent. It's just white and black when it comes to that.

Speaking of homeless and Hispanics, I never see any homeless Hispanic people around Dallas or panhandling on street corners.I’m full hispanic first of all. And I mentioned his age as well, so am I an ageist? I don’t really think it’s much of a jump to assume a guy on a bench asking passerbys for money is homeless. He didn’t really look homeless (not many belongings with him, short haircut) which is why I literally said in my first post “he didn’t look homeless”. The aggressive asshole homeless people in City #1 San Fran I’ve encountered have mostly been white, although once again I don’t think it matters. They’re shitstains because of who they are, their race is irrelevant. In the same way the guy I ran into yesterday was an asshole because he was just an angry piece of human trash, not because he was black or (possibly) homeless. -

Kap didn't want to play. Simple as that. He got his payday doing this. How are you this fucking naive? He never wanted to be a backup. At all. And that's fine. Not everyone does. This was calculated from the beginning. He played on the emotions of many communities, got a following and the NFL got tired of his shit and forced him to go away. He never wanted to play football again. It's why he settled without taking his "cause" any further. And he got a big payday from Nike. He got what he wanted.
But keep thinking he was blackballed.

You shouldn't be surprised.
It's American History 101.
Right or wrong, man of color protests in some fashion and America gets all hot and bothered.
Hmmmm he's half white, though. But yeah, it;'s only because he's black...
I had zero issue with his protests or anyone who did it but now it's obvious it was only about money and attention and using communities to push forward this, yeah fuck him. None of this protesting came until he was washed up and fading. Why not push this forward to rake the NFL over the coals if they claimed they had so damning evidence? Because it was never about that.
