  1. I read the Raiders drafted Ward about 3 rounds too early as well according to most draft experts. And hasn't did shit at all. I think we gave up on Switzer too early. Now with Witten/Dez gone, we could have tried to get him more involved along with others. Trade didn't make much sense at all unless they wanted to tell us they are trying to address the DT need.

Hoping for a close series, but Rubio being out really hurts the Jazz.

Both the West semis will be over quickly barring some weird shit. This is why I didn't get why all the hype for the West playoffs. Nothing intriguing at all aside from the OKC/Jazz series. It is way too top heavy with Houston/GSW. The drop off after them 2 is enormous. The East is much more fascinating. They don't have the superpower teams but are much more balanced.

    Counterpoint: fuck the Jazz.

Yep. Fuck them and their shit ass Mormon racist fans. Good for Westbrook to stand up to them and call them out. They have known to be pieces of shit their entire existence.

    Game ball to the refs

Dude stop. Indiana shit the bed. Lebron is their daddy.

Also, a lot of pissed off and happy people on that lost shot. Line was Cleveland by 4.5 or 5.5 depending on your book.

don’t sleep on noah brown.  that draft pick wilson is no sure thing to beat him out.

Hopefully with Dez and Witten gone, this offense can transform. No longer do we rely so much on big clunkers as they were. And Dez was piss poor at route running. I hope all the WRs can now get a fair shot to show what they have to offer. Dez/Witten was too big apart of this offense to develop anyone else. I'd love to see what Noah Brown can do.

I am more excited about younger guys who actually can run crisp routes and good hands. Dak is a QB who succeeds with a quick, timing based offense. He's not going to win throwing jump balls to Dez or airing it out down field constantly. Dak needs WRs who know where they are going and being where he needs them to be. Dez was never that for him.

I think with adding Connor and allowing Collins to play where he naturally needs to be, this OL will be much better. Zeke for a full season behind this OL will be just as good if not better than 2016. And Dak will be back to looking like he did as a rookie of the year.

  6. Jazz and Pelicans will get huge wake up calls this round. They aren't playing Portland and OKC any longer. This should go 5 max. Unless Houston dicks around and lets them have life.

It’s called free agency. LBJ went to Miami...

How is that the same? Miami was shit for the years after the 2006 title. Bosh had never won anything at all and Wade hadn't did anything since 2006. Durant joined a 73 win team that was already established. Lebron went and formed a team to take down the Celtics. He didn't go and join the Celtics. Now that would have been comparable.

    Sure thing, Vic.

Lmao at you believing what you actually typed. But he's a UT guy so I get it. But no one respects him anymore in general. A grown man has fake twitter accounts to trash former teammates even though he was as much to blame for their failures.

But yeah, it's because he wanted to play team ball. Nothing about trying to go the easy way out and get a ring. KD didn't have a choice when he went to GSW on what game to play. That is not and will never be his team. He fell in line to what they wanted to do. Didn't have a choice. He played hero ball himself all those years in OKC. It didn't work out so he bailed. Simple as that.

If Durant was cool/happy about playing that style of offense, he would have never left OKC.

Could not be further from the truth. He left because he wanted the easy path to a ring. And joined a 73 win team who went to back to back Finals and just beat his team. He knew he was not going to win one being the main guy. So he went to blend in at GSW. Nothing to do with style of play. Had OKC won that series, he'd still be in OKC and would not be so ornery at the moment.

  10. Skins beef up their interior by getting Payne and Settle. And we continue to just get backup players and have them start on ours. But hey, at least we got another TE that is a Swaim clone and tons more WRs. This draft should have been majority defense. Not all these WRs and a fucking QB. Go sign a vet to be the backup. This front office will never learn and will keep going in circles with this approach. Skimp out on the defense and you will continue to get gashed by good teams. See both Packers playoff losses.

I think this has been a solid draft overall. We didn't have to draft a DT, and we were able to trade for Austin as well. We got positions of need.

Tavon Austin won't be some difference maker. He had hype coming into the league but has never shown anything. Hence why the Rams unloaded him for a 6th.

And last I checked, DT was a huge position of need. But we don't value them at all so they talk themselves into not needing. Our DTs are below average besides Irving. And way undersized.

LVE's weakness is that he can get swallowed up by the blockers. So would it not make sense to beef up the DT so they can't just push them back and get to him?

Not to the cowboys apparently Vic.  Or at least not higher than the LB/OG/WR holes filled earlier.  Other than Ford, not sure there's a guy left that's much more than a prospect or career backup at those spots. still 2 picks left though.

Well maybe they should see it as a concern. Our DTs are undersized. Even Irving even though he is a game changer. You would prefer some bigger guys up the middle. Like the route the Rams went with Darnold and Suh. I'd much rather have a stout middle of the line than edge rushers if you made me pick. Football is won from the inside out on both sides of the ball but we love to build outside in. And I get it. It's the sexy picks. DTs and safeties are not seen as flashy positions that get all the stats and recognition. But having great safety play is huge. They are the centerfielders of the secondary. Ask Seattle why their secondary was so damn good. Earl and Kam.

Was really hoping we could have made a deal with Seattle for Earl but I guess they weren't budging and it's too late now. Unless they would want picks for next year's draft. But this was the year to do it with all the comp picks we had and now you can trade them.

I liked that we addressed the missing piece on the OL and got LVE for MLB. Still wish they had addressed the DT and safety at the higher rounds. It's too late now.

    $7 million in 2018.

    What a joke.

He restructured his deal last month. Counts $5mill. Still a lot though for someone who won't do much at all unless he really transforms his game. $5mill is a lot for someone who caught 13 balls last year.

By all account from sources this truly was out of left field from the Cowboys perspective. They had no clue he was about to retire.

You think Dallas had no clue Witten was interviewing for a job in their own league? Please. They knew he had other aspirations outside of playing with them this season. They have 3 guys they got behind Witten with the idea they hope they would replace him. If they are confident with those guys, then this news is no real big deal.

Don't understand why Dallas has to have a TE in this draft. I'll miss Witten and he's one of my all time favorite players, but his athleticism fell off a cliff last season and he really struggled early in the season in run blocking. He hasn't been anything other than a "go to the sticks and turn around" receiving threat in 3 seasons.  He was only a slightly above replacement level player in 2017. They are called replacement level players for a reason.

I don't have a reason why I write this, but it feels like a defensive move tonight, whether that's a trade for Earl or a draft pick. Dallas is 1 piece away in the secondary and has completed their LB corp. The could complete either the DL or the secondary tonight and be mostly through the defensive rebuild the decided on after 2016 ended.

Finally some logic in here. Witten was nothing like he once was. It was beyond time to replace him. But for some reason, so many fans hold onto these players and berate anyone who is glad we could actually replace them. See Dez, Romo and Witten. All were sensationalized after the fact. Hell, people were more sad to see them leave than the triplets who actually had real success. Shrugs.
