He got better as the season rolled along and has upside.  He'll play this year.  His presence shouldn't prevent us from bringing in other guys, even from the 1st or 2nd round.

I still like Vea and James at 19 if they manage to fall.

There is a very good write up by Bob Sturm on the myth that Jaylon got better as the season went along. He really didn't. So many are trying to create the illusion he did in their minds to justify the horrible pick.

  2. It's been about a decade since they have had an average offense so I don't think it can be marked down as an oddity.
It baffles me how a team like Florida can be so bad at offense. With how much talent is in Florida high schools. This isn't some rinky dink school in Florida. They used to be great on offense. And ever since 2009, they've been crap.
  3. "Just wanted to take this time to brag about how handsome my boyfriend is... We took this pic not too long before we became an official couple. I love him so much. I've definitely been blessed to have my prayers answered. I would often ask God for a man who understood me without putting me down. He encourages my modeling, often bragging about my accomplishments. He's there to give a listening ear when my depression and anxiety kicks in. He always reassures me that i have nothing to worry about when I'm being insecure. And he doesn't let me cry alone. He always holds me at night, and he makes me laugh so much just from the little things he says and does. I've never been in a relationship like this. I can honestly say i trust him 100% and i know he will never do anything to hurt me. He makes my coffee in the morning when we wake up, makes sure my tank has gas, and he doesn't mind when i fart in front of him. (Which is quite often.) God works in mysterious ways. When i first saw him, i didn't think we would be where we are today. But little things and events happened that got us talking and getting to know one another. Even when we first met, i got really wasted and he called into work the next day to make sure i would be safe. God truly spent his time when he made Joseph. He designed him especially for me. If we miss church on Sunday, he makes sure we still watch the message on the live stream. He doesn't make fun of me or put me down for my way of thinking, and he always makes time for me. I can't say this enough, but i am truly blessed! I can't wait to see how far God will take us on this journey! I love you, my asian grizzly bear! @jbedding

  4. Doubleheaders every week won't fly. Owners hate them because they make less revenue and players hate them because they are exhausting.

Can't start the season later because then the WS is in the middle of November.

You can't play April games in warm weather cities for multiple reasons. Warm weather teams don't want all of their home games to be stacked in April and May when the crowds come in the Summer. Cold weather teams don't want to play on the road for a month before their home opener in May when they just finished spring training.

Not to mention the worst attended teams in the sport are in Miami, Oakland, and Tampa so it likely wouldn't help attendance that much.
Their attendance sucks no matter what time of the year so you might as well have them start off the year at home. Not like their fans would even notice they are gone if they make lengthy summer road trips.
