  1. I find the narrative on him and McCarthy to be intriguing. By many accounts, McCarthy is a subpar coach who hitched his wagon to Rodgers for a ring. One single Super Bowl appearance, one win. Other NFC championship appearances but all losses. The above is pretty much Payton's career in New Orleans exactly, yet he's regarded as a great coach. I think both of them are the same. Brees and Rodgers masked a lot of their deficiencies. Their tenure after the Saints and Packers, they didn't have those QBs and see the results.
  2. Shag attorneys, could any of this be attempted murder? I get the whole legal game and they only want to charge what they think will stick and every state has a different interpretation of these crimes.
  3. Great win for the Pats on the road. Not sure what it will mean in the long term as we've seen this story before when Mac Jones was a rookie. It looked to be a very promising future. Although , I think a lot of that was due to Bill being washed up once Brady left.
  4. Damn that would have been good from 70.
  5. I get it but a lot of it was hindsight. I can't remember the thoughts on Payton when he was here and if there was any rumblings of him being the next coach. I don't think there was. Parcells was definitely up there in age by then and I would hope they were having talks of what would be the plan after Parcells. Jerry only brought in Parcells as a splash hire to get that stadium built. I don't think either of them liked working with each other. Payton was the main guy who kept Romo on the practice squad, though. Him and Bill saw something in him but he was about to be cut until good ol Quincy Carter got arrested for weed and Romo got his spot. I do think Payton working with Romo as HC would have been way better than Wade/Garrett.
  6. Crosspost from the FB thread
  7. Yep, fuck that. That needs to be felony charges and jail/prison time. But he has money and a name, so we know how that goes. He will come out and make a public apology, tell us he is doing rehab, etc. But Sanchez could have easily killed this man. This isn't doing something goofy or spouting off drunk on social media. He sounds like a piece of shit who has an alcohol/substance abuse problem and needs to serve time.
  8. Saints called Payton and offered him the job. At the time, it didn't seem Parcells would be gone after that year. He didn't want to pass up a head coaching position, even if it was the Saints. Dallas didn't seem interested in making him the head coach. Don't think there was any bad blood, just an assistant getting the call to become a head coach.
  9. One of the OG pics @Derka
  10. He's a fucking loser and always has been.
  11. Meh, Dallas defense held NY to 6 points for 3 quarters. The equivalent of getting huge leads in basketball, and inevitably you loosen up and the score looks closer than it was at the end. I'm not saying the defense is good but they were great today. The whole 4th qtr was "garbage time".
  12. Sark would run it right up the middle 4 times or do a slow developing toss play.
  13. Love, you too
  14. @Zepol87 lmao
  15. Still no idea what to make of this team. Our 2 wins are against dogshit teams. Philly was a very weird game that completely changed after the weather delay, both offenses went into a shell. Terrible loss against a not good Bears team. Tied the Packers scoring 40 points against what was believed to be a real good defense.
  16. Yep, it was definitely Helo's fault. Not our terrible coach and QB. And special teams.
  17. That game was the week after the Giants week 2 game, where Dak put on a clinic. This game is all well and good and yes, what they should be doing if they want to make the playoffs, but seen this story too many times. Also, not even going to write this game as a win, also seen that story way too many times.
