  1. Could be. Just a side observation from someone neutral that reinforced my thought that Lando is actually an entitled cunt with one race win in 5? seasons that can throw shade on Hamilton.

Yeah, that was a masterclass in terrible strategy. He was 100 percent being a cunt.

I watched with a family friend that’s a competitive mountain bike and BMX racer that has participated in podiums. He agreed the exchange with Hamilton was bad but the champagne spray on podium was particularly bad. For him to bypass Piastri and go straight for Hamilton - he considered it a major asshole move.

They are also rolling out chargers with longer charging cords

From half ass internet research longe cords supposedly significantly lower charge time.

but honestly the low hanging fruit would be to just re-stripe the parking spots so that the chargers are on the line and not centered in a spot.

Yes, this is will likely need to happen across the board. Easy fix, even centered if you back up a Tesla far enough it should reach.

  4. Expect some conflict. I was at a Supercharger recently and a Rivian had to take up two spots, as they charge from the front. I didn't give a shit and struck up a conversation with the owners.  They also had a Tesla but preferred the Rivian as it was more "luxurious". Looked like it.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out if Dipshit doesn't accelerate the Supercharging station team rehiring.  Especially long haul stations where spots are at a premium.

Texas Long Snapper Tate Haver on Perfecting His Craft & Growing Up Around the NFL

    3rd & Longhorn      June 20th

Their interviews are great.  This one as well.

I was hoping they’d ask the blocking technique for an undersized guy so focused on the craft. Seems like they’d get blown apart more often based on their opposition.

  6. My two aborted posts above brought to you by business dinner cocktails and fat thumbs.

Highway Star sucks, as does Deep Purple. My older brother dragged me to a Blackmore’s Rainbow concert when I was around 13. Even then I knew Since You’ve Been Gone was baby puke. The only redeeming part was when he destroyed a Fender on top of a tower of amps.

Manfred Mann is awesome. As is Alan Parsons.

Watched it.  Hot take - here goes.

McCarthy comes off as insecure. He wants to say “We were all gonna be the next Tom Hanks and Orson Welles until this news article hung a label on us and ruined our careers.”

Demi rattles off a bunch of shit she heard at therapy to calm him “there was an againstness against us.”

Rob Lowe tells him he missed the point.  That label guaranteed your staying power - now your part of something bigger than yourself.

What I think really happened is MCArthy couldn’t turn early success into lasting success and he wants to blame someone.

Emilio is kinda like “I’m good bro - had to springboard off all yall to get my success - feel a little bad about that but not really.”

I don’t think this movie is good for his legacy.  Would have been better served saying “look at us now - we didn’t die of suicide and cocaine induced heart attacks like you all thought we would.”

Thanks for taking the bullet. I turned it off after 5 or 10 minutes assuming what you described is exactly what it would be.

Embarrassing.  Streaming services need content, throw it against the wall.

  8. Hail Mary based on lack of info in the thread but we’ll be at a friend’s house in Ibiza for a few days in July. Also bouncing around other islands on a boat. Any recs for middle aged couple while teenagers go clubbing appreciated.

I’ll be planning a trip for 4 couples to bounce around USVI/BVI on a charter. Does anyone have experience finding a boat/skipper? I could use some help navigating the process.

We’ve used Navigare Yachting a couple of times for a cat charter and liked them. They’re a large international charter company with BVI presence, average boats, but there are other local charter companies with access to different (and often bigger, better) boats.  Google will load you up with options.

Pro tip. Spend a little more for a bigger cat - 50 feet plus - and food and booze are included. Below that it’s often not included and you’ll have to stock up before at the local ridiculously expensive provision place. We’ve found it to almost be a wash.

My 83 year old dad has signed an LOI to lease some property to a developer of a Publix store and associated retail strip. The LOI appears to me to be very one sided- and I told my dad that but he signed it anyway. Details are - a suburb of Birmingham, a little over half an acre, 25 year lease starting at $4k per month and increasing 10% every 5 years. There is currently a car lot on the space. I dont know anything about commericial real estate in Alabama, but 25 years to a major project starting at $4k per month seems grossly low. He says he talked to a commerical realtor but I dont believe him - should I wait to really cause a stink when the actual lease is presented, or is this a fairish deal?

$2/sf PY sounds absurdly low, but as other have said need local comm broker to weigh in on that.

i can say the 10% every 5 is very common for a corporate real estate ground lease. Most Fortune 500 insist on it if they are on the lease (leveraging credit guarantee).  However this was before recent inflation spike so that term may have loosened up.

Pardon me but give me a fucking break. You don’t know this woman. You’ve got no reason to give her the benefit of the doubt. If this was the obese, pimply assistant salon manager of a Supercuts who looked the other way when the franchiser stole stylists tips and was a party after the fact to using business funds to pay off a harassment victim I don’t see you or anybody else sighing about how young she was or her feelings towards the Trump and inner conflict about her testimony. You wouldn’t care at all.
Just because shes hot doesn’t make her a good person, trick.

She must really agitate you.  I don't care about her one way or another, but from my view she doesn't fit the mold of the Star Wars bar of embarrassing characters in MAGA world. Granted I didn't know some of the unseemly details listed above, so maybe she is a cunt and I wasn't paying close enough attention.

The "hot" comment was a dumb throwaway in response to the ghoul reference.  Calm down Francis.

Hearing CNN talk about how Hope Hicks clearly cared for him and felt bad just shows how soulless a ghoul she is.  No decent human being could go through the past several years being that adjacent to that fuck head and still think he's a good guy.  What a broken human she is.

C'mon man, you're better than this.  They did a good job describing how he treated her like a daughter (unlike Ivanka) and much different than other people in his world.  She was relatively young and impressionable. After Jan 6 she broke off, but the emotions prior don't just die for anyone human. She's far from a ghoul.

Beyond that CNN has a great panel of prosecutors and one defense attorey talking about the sausage making of a trial.  Even if you don't like CNN it's really interesting. There's so much detail into the thinking and dancing between defense and prosecution production I find really interesting.

And she's really hot, so if you speak her name again it's soulless DIME.

  13. I saw this recently and have a mixed opinion. It’s a good movie for sure, but something seemed off. I think it was too slow in parts by far. Then sudden intensity and back again.

The subject matter was definitely disturbing. Dunst did a great job as an exhausted person experiencing horror. The final battle scene was awesome, far fetched, and also disjointed from the rest of the movie.

It’s a tough movie to wrap up in a bow. The Jessie Plemmons bit was the best part and most disturbing.

  14. There really was a Johnny Appleseed. He had an actual business selling seed to settlers as they moved west into and beyond the Ohio valley. But the seed wasn’t for eating apples, but cider apples for drinking (alcohol).

When prohibition hit the government went out and removed all the cider apple trees his seeds had previously grown.

So what’s your take on that. IIRC you haven’t been a fan of Sark in the past along with @immamac

Unless you are driving during rush hour, why would you not use cruise control on the freeway?

Tesla Y owner here.  I don't use basic cruise control on it because it doesn't fucking work.

I drive alot between LA and Phoenix. Straight shot, nothing difficult.  Every time I try to use it out of the blue, going 80MPH, nothing but clear sailing, IT FUCKING SUDDENLY BRAKES, slowing the car from 80 to 40 in a couple of seconds.  As if there is some obstacle that isn't actually there.  So dangerous and disturbing I don't even use it.

I bought it 2-3 years ago for work since I put on so many miles, and before Elmo ramped us his moronic shit.  And honestly I still like it as a daily driver.  It's strangely relaxing for that, even though I still prefer CEVs.

That said, I cackle at anyone that thinks FSD will ever actually work.  That fuckstick's company can't even engineer a car with cruise control that worked for Cutlass Supremes 20-30 years ago.

Arcadia is very nice but y’all are behind on modern prices for it. Even lower Arcadia.

I thought someone posted about living by the Sonoran Preserve but can’t find the post. It was our favorite area. We had nice hikes and had food at The Thumb carwash.

Old Scottsdale, for the most part, is a giant tourist trap.

FnB is a great restaurant. Earning a James Beard was well deserved.

So you asked for advice and shit on that given?

Seems like you you know what you want. Don’t waste our time trying to help.

I think the Sin Eater Weirdo gets Gator during their next scene.

The trailer showed him pinning him on the ground with his hand on his face IIRC. No kill if that’s what Sin Eater wants.

And I think he wants to use Gator for revenge.
