  1. They just replayed the Hound/Brienne fight scene on HBO.  JFC I forgot how crazy that was. I remembered it as a simple sword fight and kick off the ledge, but it's full on hand to hand combat, with donkey kick, head butt and rock to the head.

The Hound has always been my favorite character the show.  Rewatching his heartwarming speech to Arya afterward reminded my why. (And that dude is a good actor).

  2. Ha, Ft Bliss Irvin Rocket family here.  Thunderbird football dominance was a constant growing up.

Sorry to thread jack, on to more concerts.

AC DC - 1979 El Paso County Coliseum.

Highway to Hell Tour with Bon Scott. Still one of the loudest concerts I’ve been to.

Ha, I saw Aerosmith there in '78.  That place was basically a sweltering barn, with acoustics to match.  I think every rock band just said fuck it, let's turn the amps up to 11, play our set, and get the hell out of here.

    * Quick side note : also watched a random exhibition hockey game there.  We left after the second period, not realizing there was a third.

  4. Maybe SIAP, but the music sounded familiar to me when I watched it initially, but I was three drinks in and just enjoyed the show without looking into it.

Circled back and yep, Road to Perdition.  Same guy scored both. * shit, also Shawshank*

Smart move, added to the movie.

Adding a touch of class to the thread...

I thought this needed to be revisited on a new page.  I'm watching Viking descendants perform an Italian's music from a classic American western, and I'm still getting chills as if I'm watching Tuco run through the cemetery.  Very cool.

  6. Not a start up but an interesting IPO.

WME - William Morris Endeavor - going public later this year.  Top Hollywood talent agency that also owns IMG, UFC, Pro Bull Riding and other stuff.

Will be an interesting valuation to watch.

  7. I thought it was great. Netflix has thrown so much shit against the wall, hoping it sticks, I was prepared for severe disappointment, but this one was every bit as good as any other studio could produce.   Costner is fine, he's parsley, the extra on the plate necessary to deliver the meal.

Also just got the email Netflix has upped my fee to $15.99/month for the whole family.  THE OUTRAGE.  Those fuckers have a much longer runway for me to pay if they produce more movies like this.

    I really want a Delorean.

They seem to be in a weird spot in the collerctor market.  Some say they're shit regardless of condition, some say they're a turning heads car ready for appreciation.  Bids have failed up to $5Ok for low mileage ones, but here's a few that have actually sold.

And I saw this one the other day on the road.  Not sure what to think.  Either it was used on the movie or the owner is a serious fan and meticulously restored.

  9. CSB time.

Met one of the Garrison brothers (Bourbon) at a Phoenix airport bar.  Nice guy.  Got to talking football and turns out his son is Jake's teammate, as in the DB that had to cover him every day in practice.  Said his son was undersized, so hurt his recruitment, but his experience having to cover the best HS receiver in the country helped quite a bit.

Looks like he's going to CO School of the Mines. /CSB

He's got some photos with Jake throwing up the hook 'em sign on his twitter.

  10. So how would this help someone recently denied coverage from a different carrier, say Cigna?

I have a relative recently denied coverage for a 30 day rehab stint for alcohol.  Also treated for depression, anxiety.

Based on the ACA can they not deny coverage?  Or does it depend on how the policy is written and then we'd have to threaten to sue based on the UBH decision?

  11. Finally had some time to weld in the DS floorpan.

    All stitched up.

And it's in.  Not going to win in beauty awards, but it's solid.   Had a hell of a time working around the bump at the gear shift.

Decided to go ahead and replace my roached battery apron.   Those factory plug welds are a bitch to find.

Secured in tight, and she's in.
