I'm tempted to contrast that reaction to this site's feelings towards the Titan's throwback Oilers unis, which are the best unis in the history of, well, unis, but I don't want to get negged into oblivion.  Carry on.

Those uniforms are perfection and it's also stolen valor bullshit that the fucking Titans wear them.

We'll be in a very interesting position for 2026 if Arch plays well and leaves after '25. The options would be inexperienced RS-SO Owens, RS-FR Lacey, and a true freshman. Wouldn't surprise me to see us go out and get a 1-year portal rental for that year unless Owens or Lacey are well ahead of schedule. A program like Texas will be expected to reload every year in the NIL/portal era. Sark isn't going to waste a year with an underdeveloped QB throwing to the likes of Ryan Wingo and (fingers crossed) Dakorien Moore.

I don't think Owens will or should worry Lacey. That's about as clear a path as he'll get at any major program.

If either is ready, he'll just play them. At some point you play inexperienced talent.

Damonic Williams, DL, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany - *TCU transfer

The former TCU standout made a visit to Oklahoma for the Sooners spring game over the weekend. While there is positivity coming out of Norman following the visit, OTF isn't so sure Oklahoma will be the pick. Williams, 6-2 and 320, remains scheduled to visit Texas Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Longhorns are a true threat in this recruitment. There is a feeling on The Forty Acres that Williams would be a on field and culture fit. He has a lot of the same qualities and chip on the shoulder that helped lead Byron Murphy to tremendous success as a college player. Visits to Colorado and LSU are scheduled after Texas, and Oregon is trying.

    OTF percentage: 51%

    Cornerback

The Texas Longhorns could very well take a cornerback in the portal. But it would be a long speed need/fit to go against X wide receivers in the SEC plus a culture fit. OTF does not expect Texas to go after a questionable culture fit.

Not exactly subtle about the Cormani McClain knock there

welp just listening to a few SEC Podcast Texas secondary is in for it next fall.

did we put the secondary on the back burner cause we were to focused on our d-line???? Should we have seen the writing on the wall from last season??

yeah we got Makuba but we had a chance at other DBs we didn’t even go after

You're absolutely right. The coaches forgot that the secondary exists. And the random SEC podcasters who have huffing their own "grrr SEC manball" farts for decades know exactly what's going on with the UT roster.
