The more I think about it, the more I think Zach Evans (maybe unintentionally) was referring to the strength in our bagmen. He sees the top SEC teams putting numbers up that we aren’t matching and thinks “Yeah they’re not quite ready to win it all.”

    You serious Clark?

Read the back label. If it’s from Tennessee it’s Dickel, if it’s from Indiana it’s MGP

I don't have the bottle anymore.

Yeah. I have that one. It’s Dickel. If you were in Houston, I’d let you try it’s MGP twin. MGP dusts it.

I bought a bottle of Old Scout Single Barrel in January 2018. It was OK. Nothing spectacular. Was it MGP or Dickel?

The Dickel sourced Smooth Ambler 107 is pretty good, but it is a store pick.

  4. That's the first time I've heard of Andalusia. I see they're loosely affiliated with Real Ale. Not surprising as Blanco is a really small town.

    Might be worth the stop.

  5. I'm more frustrated with the proposed coal and nuclear subsidies. You can't push "Freedom Gas" out of one side of your mouth and coal/nuclear subsidies out the other side. Either it's profitable or it's not. Don't prop up dying industries. If you need a back up for the grid, just throw a bunch of already produced coal in cave.

I'm an oil and gas guy, but I guess I'm cool with solar. It's not an eyesore and doesn't kill birds like wind. If we can figure out a way to not buy so many solar panels from China, it could be a good thing some day. I hate paying electric bills too.

    It’s called Buck’s BBQ.

I'm aware of and I've eaten at Champ's establishment.

I’ve done vindaloo burnt ends, gochujang beef belly and tri-tip, char siu tri-tip and pork ribs, and a bunch of other stuff. Craziest? Probably the Cap’n Crunch Crunch Berries pulled pork. It was fucking amazing

Looking for something to watch tonight.  We have a 6 month old (no pics), so our time is limited.

    What should we watch?

What we do in the shadows (movie not show)

    Or

    Captain Marvel

What streaming service has the What We Do in the Shadows film?

  9. I had the good fortune to see George Strait front row at the Palmer Events Center in January. Holy s***, he slayed. He maybe played 3 songs off his new album, and then it was nothing but the hits. He played at least 25 on his top 50. I had to drive back to Houston the next day, so I had to cut out at midnight. Best $125 I've ever spent in my entire life.

I saw him again at the Houston Rodeo in March. We had good seats, but certainly not front row. He was terrific, but played most of the new album. It's a terrific album, but not as good as classic George Strait. The tickets were a gift, I'm glad I didn't have to shell out $1k for two seats. His new video for Honky Tonky Bar features some shots from the rodeo performance.

Huh, smoked meatloaf at a bbq joint. Who would have ever thought to do that?! Genius!

    * Patrick is a very good friend and called me to clear the meatloaf before he rolled it out.

Champ, what's the craziest BBQ idea you've had that worked out?

Also have you ever done a tri tip? I didn't get to try it at Victorians before they closed.
