Daily reminder of that Netanyahu is charged with numerous war crimes and is starving an entire population. Not only are they starving an entire population, they are using food trucks as bait to shoot civilians. Want to know how sick this gets, Israel has observation decks where their citizens can watch this happen.
Israel has murdered and killed more journalists than world war 1, world war 2, Vietnam war, and Afghanistan war, Iraq war combined.
Israel has killed 233 UN aid workers. Most recent one was shot driving a UN aid truck. Who is the terrorist again? Or is that word only for Muslims?
@Rex Kramer and @statsman when they see this:

Something you can't find in Houston, because there is no Tex-Mex to be found anywhere in Houston.
Hugo Ortega says I have your puffy taco right here next to KD.
The stupidity in the comment is like if the football, cloak room, and Clark Caitlin thread all got together and had the biggest dumbest ugliest baby ever. I dont give a shit if you think another restaurant or even city has better Tex-Mex, good for you, but saying Houston has no Tex-Mex at all is insisting upon yourself.

I don’t understand how this became the repository for “I have such bad TDS that I’m gonna apologize for the fucking Iranians”, but here we are. Can we please stop pretending under more competent leadership, the Iranians behaved? They did not.
Umm, can you point to a single post which you would characterize as "apologiz[ing] for the fucking Iranians", much less the repository for such posts? I see posts and tweets saying Iran was compliant with the previous deal (which Trump nullified), seems like you are saying they weren't? Independent bodies seem like they think Iran complied. @WineGuy69 - you also. Any actual evidence to say the UN nuclear watchdog is wrong or just "my team says so"?

My apologies as this isn’t news, but can you tell more about “fuck friends” please.
I dig the sentiment but I suspect that you wouldn't really want more detail on what A @Js1 wants to make great again. NTTAWWT.

Can all of you chucklefucks keep Texas vs California talk out of this thread? It really would be nice to have an actual news thread.

so here's the deal on COVID vaccine injuries - they are real. I'll give you the straight dope on the situation...
- COVID vaccine injuries occur at a greater prevalence than other vaccine injuries. unfortunately, the MAHA movement has extrapolated that this means all vaccines are bad. terrible conclusion.
You very clearly have looked into Long Covid much more than I, so no comment from me on that, but do you have research supporting your statement that Covid vaccine injuries occur at a prevalence than other vaccine injuries? And by prevalence do you mean absolute number or rate?

@Hank Scorpio - just in case this spreads, do you have any leads on where to find hammocks?

Reading back at what you're freaking out about, he referred to one particular attribute and behavior -- how they deal with other state leaders ("berating another leader in a public forum") -- and observed that Trump is worse than Hitler and Stalin and such in that respect. On that particular issue, in that context, it's a point worthy of discussion. I don't necessarily reach that conclusion -- I think it's less that he's "worse" than them then it is that he's an utterly incompetent juvenile toddler-stage narcissist, which makes him somewhat unique in that class. And if he was just the President and Supreme Potentate of the Peoples Republic of Nowhereistan, it wouldn't mean shit. As the President of the most powerful country on earth....it's a big fucking deal.
I feel really fucking dirty here but to defend Rex, using Hitler as a reference specifically to how he treated other world leaders is a really stupid comparison. Hitler is not known for his treatment of world leaders. It'd be like if I said "The Derel has worse fashion sense than Jeffrey Dahmer". Yes Jeffrey wore some odd clothes and yes The Derel is the worst, but there are better exemplars to use if I want to specifically focus on fashion.

Saw this on reddit but it entertains me and need to share this unimportant stat.
As of today, before BOS-NYK game 6, in the eastern conference the 1-seed has 1 win, the 2-seed has 2 wins, the 3-seed has 3 wins, and the 4-seed has 4 wins.

I think it's clear that Shoeless Joe Jackson committed the more heinous sin in intentionally throwing a game (and of course the fact that it was the world series makes it even more of a sin), yet remains a much more sympathetic figure than Pete Rose. Jackson clearly benefits from playing in an era where players had very little say in their contracts. He plead innocence but it sure seems like he participated in the fix to me. I can see why he has some support but tend to agree with @Beau Vine - fuck 'em both. Just give some extra fucks to Rose for his overall shittyness as a human being as well as betting on baseball.

We can empathize and still disagree with people. North Dakota is filled with the decedents of people who had be oppressed by their governments (kings, czars, etc) for centuries. It is to be understood they carry a generational revulsion to Government.* We all agree that 3 generations in, they need to get over it, generally trust authority, trust science, but we also understand why they struggle to. I'm still gonna judge parents for not keeping their kids safe, but I understand why.
How long do you think a generation is? As I understand it most of the immigration you are talking about was ~1910. That's a lot longer than 3 generations. Doesn't mean we shouldn't have empathy but that's also a lot of time to stay an intentionally ignorant asshole.

The cheese stuff is dumb. Take a hint.
The cheese stuff is super dumb. So is the amount of time and attention that people pay in reading / preparing mock drafts, reading instant draft analysis, then giving draft grades when the large majority of impacts won't be known for several years. So it's a perfect match.

AARP are the initials of one of the plaintiffs, permitted to proceed anonymously.
Dumb question alert: are you saying there are plaintiffs with the actual initials AA and RP (or four plaintiffs with an initial beginning with A, A, R, and P) but the full name is anonymous? Or is AARP totally random and just happens to be the same acronym as the AARP for retired people?

Yep, while I’ve always been a spurs fan first, living in Dallas for so long turned me also into a Mavs fan. But now, they are as dead to me as the Rockets. Eff em.
Just out of curiosity, is the Rockets part just due to being a rival or was there a specific move that made them dead to you? Just asking because "dead to me" isn't usually something I think of as part of a rivalry but also can't think of any super-traumatic player transaction like Luke trade.

It's at the bottom of last page, but I said I was combining the two cases in my head.
What's funny is it took two pages from someone to even notice without simply slinging an insult.
So given the fact that a major part of your argument was that it's his lawyers fault for not filing habeas corpus, has your opinion changed at all? Part of the reason you are still getting shit is because you seemingly realize that a major input was completely wrong but don't seem to be adjusting your conclusion.
