The field for the 2024 NCAA Div 1 Indoor Track Championships will be announced Tuesday (Feb. 27) and will consist of 17 events each for men and women. The Track at New Balance in Boston will host Friday March 8th and Saturday March 9th. Per usual, Friday morning will see the start of the Men's Heptathlon and Women's Pentathlon, followed by various field events in the afternoon along with the preliminary running events and a few finals (listed below). The championships are scheduled to air somewhere on ESPN. The next ranking is also scheduled to drop on Tuesday.
Friday Finals:
Field Events
Men's Pole Vault, Weight Throw, and Long Jump
Women's Pole Vault, Weight Throw, and Long Jump
Running Events
Men's and Women's 5000m and DMR
Combined Event Final: Pentathlon
Thank you so much for providing all these updates - it is most appreciated! As an avid general fan, but not an educated fan across all individual sports - this type of insight is super! Thanks and Hook 'em!

And since the old seating chart still shows up in some places, here's the updated 2024 seating chart:
It's interesting that they are putting the visitors in multiple locations - Section 1, 32, 103, 104, 106, 107, 119, 131, and 132. Im going to assume that if schools don't sell out those sections, those will be the "single game" tickets that are available from the school directly.
And I'm looking forward to the monstrous outrage & whining that will occur on SEC Rant when they figure out that big bad Texas has split up the visiting ticket allotment into multiple sections around the stadium.

The Longhorn Band will be conducting a rehearsal in the Baton Rouge area on 12/30 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Dutchtown High School in Prairieville on their way to the Sugar Bowl.
The high school football stadium is just a couple of minutes south of I-10 on the east side of Baton Rouge. Take the LA HWY 73 exit off of I-10, veer right on to HWY 73 and the HS is on your right maybe 1/2 mile down the road.

Let’s see if he hands us the trophy like a man, or bitches out in some way.
I figured that he'd send Chip from the Mailroom to deliver the trophy.

Man - isn’t it great to be in the middle of strategizing other teams wins/losses and their effects on our placement in the polls, when it actually means something!

Holy shit - what a terrible call on the safety!

And LSU somehow lost to NIcholls State (LA) as a 20 point favorite after coming back from a 24 point deficit AT home.

Yes, that combined with paying Jimbo and staff to go away and then overpaying the next savior of aggy football...one has to wonder if there will be enough pennies left in the bank to keep up their "NIL" game plus real NIL?
They're looking at fleecing donors for over half a Bil over the next few years with zero roi.And didn't they recently announce a $200M+ athletics renovation/expansion project as well?

I want to agree with this assessment. No question that recruiting is at a high level. But Sark’s in-game decisions give us all concern.
That's a totally fair statement.
I wonder, however, with respect to these in-game decisions - how different they may look when he has a team that is fully recruited by him and has had the benefit of his sustained coaching? I'm thinking & hoping that we'll see some very positive variation peak Alabama type of performance that occurred during his tenure there. My mental & heart health surely hopes so:)

That tracks pretty well with what I'm hearing here locally - that chunks of the principal's statement is not true and/or stretching the truth.
It does appear that he and Ms Becnel - one of the senior administrators at the school, lectured Rachel for about an hour with bible scriptures and even printed them out to give to her.
Surprisingly, there don't appear to be very many people defending the principal. The general consensus is that this was a terrible and sustained lapse in judgement and given that he's been in the business for 30 years, can't be the only time he's done something like this. People are waiting for the inevitable disclosures to come out regarding previous students and similar behavior. It seems what is dividing most people is whether or not he deserves to lose access to his entire pension after he is fired or resigns, or if just the firing/resignation is penalty enough. Everyone is aware that the Parish school system is going to get sued and they are going to lose - with the question being just how much money is this going to cost the taxpayers.

I think he'll end up resigning or being fired, but this looks like an interim step. Assuming this is not the first time he's pulled something similar to this, but it does appear to be the first time it has gotten out to the general public. I still think there's something else to this story that just hasn't come out yet.

In a bit of a surprise to me - the principal has walked everything back, apologized to the student and her family and re-instated her scholarship. I live here, so to see this kind of a walk-back is uncommon, typically guys like this principal just double down and charge ahead. He must have received an immense amount of blowback from the school board, or more probably the school board attorneys as he was most likely going to get himself and the board sued into oblivion. May still happen as the student is not completely pleased with his apology..

This team will be salty. I'm already looking forward to the season in January.
I imagine the singles lineup will be:
1. Spizzirri
2. Bailly
3. Woldeab
4. Braswell M.
5. Braswell J.
6. Harper
Braswell bros could team up in doubles too. We're going to be a tough team to beat.Show me a loss?
