CSB Warning/The Mrs. breastfed our kids, but with #2 she got a bad flu and dried up.

There's a titty coffee stand where there are two girls who will spray breast milk at you for fun.

WWS didn’t care about it until the bat signal went up this week.

It's like this has been a big story, and I haven't seen anyone discuss this.  Stop being mad at me bringing this story up.

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not been talked about.

    It's been discussed plenty.

I mean sure, but it's not like I knew that it'd be in a thread about global news. This one also just seems pretty important to know if others haven't seen the thread as well.

A shortage of formula that began in the early days of the pandemic has worsened significantly in recent weeks because of labor shortages and a major product recall, creating panic and anxiety among parents across the country.

With the nationwide out-of-stock percentage at 43 percent for the week ending May 8, according to the retail analysis firm Datasembly, many families are struggling to find formula in stores and online. The delays could last eight to 10 weeks, Abbott Nutrition, the company behind the recall, announced Wednesday.

Many parents have become consumed with finding formula, prompting some to consider taking measures they wouldn’t normally take just so they can feed their babies.

On social media, recipes are circulating for homemade baby formula — something the American Academy of Pediatrics strongly advises against, calling it unsafe. The academy also cautions against diluting formula to make it last longer, which will not meet infants’ nutritional needs.

The Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday that it is investigating certain powdered infant formula following four customer reports of children contracting serious infections.

In a news release, the FDA said infections stemming from the bacterium Cronobacter sakazakii and the strain Salmonella Newport have been linked to powdered infant formula produced in Abbott Nutrition’s Sturgis, Michigan, facility.

The FDA’s investigation includes four infant illnesses in three states — Minnesota, Ohio and Texas — that possibly connect to the products and infections.

I don't know how this hasn't been really talked about. I know that @Trey3216 asked for some help about a month ago. Are any of y'all having a hard time with finding formula?

Appreciate that but who is he sympathizing with?  Women whose lives are being destroyed by right wing puritans or the puritans who are destroying them?

In this case, parents and thier responsibility for children. Parents should know what's going on with thier children. I don't think that's an unreasonable thing to know as you are thier caretaker.

for someone who isn't religious, you sure do bow down like a bitch to all that is bat-shit-crazy Christian.

Maybe it's because he can sympathize. I don't know about you, I will say sorry for your losses. That's terrible.

I can admire a generation willing to come to their first interview and letting me know work-life balance is very important to them so don't expect a minute more than required for this salaried position with bonus etc.

I can also admire a generation willing to come to their first interview and letting me know the salary range being offered is below their expecations, noting they have no prior experience.

Telling the truth is a good thing.

What about the question of " Why do you want to work here?"

Guys look on the bright side.  All of the poors are getting lower real (inflation-adjusted) wages.  Sure, we here are losing hundreds of dollars of investment wealth, but we're still Surly 1%.  Just at a lower level.  We are still better.

I don't think that anyone is trying to break down teenage sexuality here. If y'all think that carving out parental involvement is a hill worth fighting upon at this stage, I think that you should go for it.   Just don't be surprised with the pushback.  Social media echo chambers do not reflect real life.

All I can think is how Virginia went down.

Stop using words you do not understand.  Do you really understand what theofascism or christofascism is?  And last I checked, no one in this thread is crying about being called a baby killer.  They think it is bullshit that the Supreme Court was ok with Westboro Baptist protesting at funerals and at abortion clinics, but clutching their pearls at protests at their homes.

If I had people outside of my home protesting me, I'd also not like it. I haven't said anything on the matter because in the long run I'm alright with peacefully protesting the justices.

I never said people have been calling other people "baby killers" in this thread. The rhetoric was used in the sentence complaining how it's being used, and people have been using theofascist in the thread.
