It definitely is fun right up until it's not.

HST's early work hanging out with the Hell's Angels is interesting stuff too. If I remember correctly he said he stood up for one of the biker's wive's who the biker was beating the shit out of in front of everyone and subsequently got his ass kicked. Then he decided he had enough and got out.

I don't think HST's Angels friends were the "bad" ones either. There were two factions, the San Fran group who were a motorcycle gang with your typical rough customers and I think were HST's associates and then there were the Oakland bunch of Angels who were much more heavy into crime.

Apparently Duke now down to Elliot and Elko with Elliot considered the front runner. Duke looking to interview Elko in person (Elliot has already interviewed in person), both have interviewed remotely.  Elko is said to definitely want the job.

I wouldn't be shocked if Elko was the guy after the face to face. He interviews well has a better resume under multiple coaches/places.

Elliot was already told "no" by Virginia and is a much bigger risk. His resume has been built off having Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence running his offense.  The offense he ran was him just continuing what Chad Morris installed before him though so he's not shown to be very innovative past that.  This years offensive struggles for Clemson can't help his resume either.

Yeah, Elliott will probably need to keep looking and unfortunately for him, Allen High School already has their guy.

One would think that USC, of all places, considering they have a world class film and television production school on campus and access to, well....literally every production studio on the planet within a 25 mile radius would have had something a little more substantive than....something that looks like it was on Public Access cable.

I've delved into some true crime stories inspired by the Kentucky Fried Chicken murders that happened in my home town when I was a kid. Those two cases have some common themes: ostensible robbery as motive combined with senseless murder of workers. The KFC case was supposedly solved, but there still is one perp unaccounted for (found his DNA at the scene, but it has not been identified).

I've never heard that theory about the Yogurt Shop Murders. I have read some about it but definitely not a deep details. That seems pretty dark even for the darkest cops. It is still frustrating with all the new DNA technology and money thrown away at LE budgets that there is not a more emphasis on funding new DNA on a bunch of these old cases.

Back to the KFC case - hard for me to believe this guy raped and murdered someone in 1980 and never committed another crime (or none of his relatives did), i.e. his or his relatives DNA should be in the system. Same for the Yogurt Shop murders.

With so many private companies now solving cases, the Travis County DA's office should just circumvent the FBI and use one of those firms.

One of the victims in the KFC murders left behind a preggers gf. I'm friends with the son that they had. Small world. As you might imagine the kid has been interested in the case over the years and followed it closely. It's been especially painful as it dragged on for so long and he was well into his 20's when it was finally, for the most part, resolved. He opposes the death penalty so was satisfied with the sentences handed down.

Isn’t it a truer playoff if UGA-Bama was a de facto playoff game and the loser is out? Sure UGA only has one loss, but we just saw that at the end of the season (ie today not in September), Bama is 14+ points better on a neutral field. Based on records and losses, I think it should be Bama, Michigan, Cincinnati, and ND.

How is ND any better than UTSA? Wins over top 25 teams? Conference championship game?

Great.  And it matters fuckall.  Rapelor v. Klan at Sugar, regardless of jumping domer or not.  Jumping domer is irrelevant if Michigan wins.  If Iowa wins, chaos.
