An elite recruit decommits AND one of our top OL targets is offered by Stanford? Has anyone checked on satya this morning? He might’ve rubbed himself to death yesterday.
A buddy of mine as a youth yanked it so hard using shampoo in the shower that he suffered severe irritation and had to rush to the ER. The doctor took a look at it and said “you used shampoo didn’t you. Use lotion next time.”
Just trying to help satya here

Although getting left out of the initial edit doesn't bode particularly well for them.

There continues to be growing confidence with the Longhorns chances of beating out LSU and Texas for Summer Creek OT Kelvin Banks.

You will might this one better. The guy who gets his shit shoved in is the holder for OU. Happened this week at a bar in Norman. The two guys are wrestlers at a small juco school here in Oklahoma City.

Forget boring virtual tours and zoom slide shows
They need to make some hype live stream events
Make a private Facebook group. Invite the prospects. Do a tour or whatever shit quickly but then have some current players out on the lake with GoPros and turn the stream over to them. Still want to follow distancing so maybe a cliff diving competition or water sports instead of a boat party. Organize a game/contest that the croots can do from home with coaches and players. Maybe a dunk contest or something. Do a private inside the nba style show with some scheme info or whatever but also top 10 and shaqtin a fool segments featuring spring practice clips. Point is to mix normal recruiting stuff with something new. One minute PK is pitching Kamari Wilson on all the safeties he's put in the league and breaking down film, the next DMO is roasting the shit out of a DL for not wearing enough arm bands and getting pancaked. We now have some talented guys committed and a decent product to sell. Be different and fun
Announce a big recruiting weekend in the summer once in-person restrictions ease up. Do fun streams every couple weeks to build excitement for the big weekend. Like a preview. Plan it for July and jokingly get guys to "commit"--not to signing but to coming that weekend. The croots come, have a good time, then you can do campus visits and more standard stuff on the next visit because they'll want to return. Make the front of the pitch about coming to have fun and celebrate being able to get together again. This cycle won't all be virtual so let's not get bogged down in zoom. They can be serious over the phone and facetime but I'd like to see us get creative with the virtual space and use it as a driver, not a destination
Can we just say fuck all that and instead hit the scrip club and pay for some prosti's?

Ready to hand it up?
I can be ready to hand it up at a moment’s notice, especially after seeing pics of Kate in the recruiting threads.

Uh, North Shore was favored by one point. How unexpected can a win over a team favored by one point be?
Favored by a point? Is there really a betting line and place to wager on high school games? I wasn't aware of that, but cool if true.
North Shore was the two time defending 6A D1 champs, and very few outside of Eanes ISD gave Westlake a shot (source: I spend a lot of time on the Texas 6A football forum, which frankly makes me dumber every time I go there, but still find it somewhat entertaining).
I thought NS had a terrible game plan, and didn't play to their strengths. Running Shadrach out of the backfield time after time wasn't going to work...I think with a better game plan NS wins by 14 (sorry, just my humble opinion). I actively cheered for Westlake, and was very impressed by them. I'm not a hater. I live in HP, so didn't really have a dog in the hunt.

I don't have any children at that high school, but he seems like a good guy and a great coach. Congrats to that program and to Todd!
It was a very impressive season for Todd D. Their upset win over North Shore was really unexpected, and a really well coached game by TD.

HP was in 6A pretty recently. good post, though.
They were for 2 years. And they lost to Waco Midway both those years in the playoffs. Plot twist: I live in HP, and attended Waco Midway for high school.

As someone who's spent a large portion of their life in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, but not Houston, why doesn't H-Town have an old money high school that churns out state titles?
Memorial is the school, but doesn’t win anything. Four high schools in Spring Branch ISD probably doesn’t help.

This. My grandfather, mom and her sisters are all Maroons. HP and Austin High-Tarrytown are a good analogy.
I live in HP now....used to live in Austin. I think HP/Tarrytown is a pretty close analogy (assuming Tarrytown had its own school district), but Tarrytown doesn't extend up to the mega rich sections that HP has. It's similar in terms of lot size and proximity to the city, yes. Westlake is probably closer in terms of home values to HP. Jerruh probably isn't buying in Tarrytown.

He's not going to set any land speed records, but I really liked the arm and accuracy....and he appears to have enough size and wiggle to make things happen. (that's what she said)
