Regarding Looch, I often ask myself:
A) is he just putting on this Texas hate act as part of his job? or
B) does Texas live completely rent free in the wide open spaces of air in his head?
I have concluded the answer is most definitely B.

A really nice farewell letter. I respect that. Good luck.

I'm not getting carried away. This year's team is substantially better.
Cool. I’m cheering for them.

If you think North Shore would stay within three TDs of Westlake, let alone beat them, you are high.
Westlake won by three against NS last year, and WL had a number of breaks go their way. Let’s not get carried away.

Just drove from Dallas to Houston and saw the North Shore bus caravan on 45 en route to Arlington. Pumped about round 3 this afternoon

They may have signed the best D-line class I’ve ever seen
But see, here’s the thing. We signed a truly amazing offensive line that can block and neutralize their defensive line. Plus we added the top overall player, Quinn Ewers. Advantage Texas.

When I read the name Ted Roof, my mind immediately went to a horrible mashup of Ted Bundy and Dylann Roof.

Duncanville vs North Shore part 3! Third time in last four years. Both teams are playing very very well but I don’t know how good Lake Travis really was. I’m very surprised Duncanville is humiliating SLC.

How does Ross and Harris look?
To my knowledge LT has only tested Harris once, and Harris defended it. Ross looks very strong.
-
Kris Ross had a strip sack and returned it for a TD on Lt’s first snap of the game, but got called back due to a face mask penalty. He’s not getting the attention of the other recruits we have, but he’s a beast.

Noted in comments... Highland Park.... finally 6A
Will be a tougher road for my Scots, for sure, but they won't get run over. They took down a very good 6A Rockwall team earlier in the year. What's interesting (for me, probably for nobody else) is that the only time they were 6A (two years...2014-2015) they got knocked out of the playoffs both years by the high school I attended - Waco Midway.

Because fuck it, why not, another hit of speculation:
Found a plane (Tail No. N512LL) that's wiped itself from FlightAware. It just touched down on the east side of Austin Bergstrom on a trip from Dallas Executive. It's co-owned by the McMinn Law Firm and the CEO of an Austin-based property management company.
The founders of those firms/companies are both UT alumni, and one of them (Jason McMinn) was a Spur. The flight took off from Dallas right about noon today, roughly 15 minutes after LotusCorn posted the news re Ewers purportedly from the Spurs group chat.
ha! I grew up with Jason McMinn in Waco and we played baseball together for years. Will text and revert!

Because some random bitch is throwing shade? Weird as hell to even take a shot at Simmons; doubt he even knew this was coming. The reports from USC are that they did not even get a deal done until literally last night.
It's Charleston Rambo's mom, so not random

Connor Weigman got concussed on a dirty late hit from Cedar Hill in the first quarter. Bridgeland up 29-18 just starting the fourth.
-
Atascocita and Ridge Point in a very close game late in the 4th quarter. As a Rice Owl undergrad alum, I'm cheering for Bert Emmanuel Jr and the Ridge Point team! Winner gets da Sho next week.

To address the elephant in the room, teams seem to never learn about Westlake. Each year in the playoffs, teams from Houston and Dallas who don't see us up-close, see a bunch of white boys and think they will out-physical, out-speed Westlake. North Shore certainly thought they would just line up and use their physicality (and they were good, running for around 260 yards, but it wasn't enough.) And while Westlake didn't have anyone on their team as big and fast as their RB/WR Shadrach Banks, the OVERALL speed & strength at Westlake is very good. Better to try to out-scheme Westlake, which is what South Lake did and it worked pretty well, as they scored 35 points.
I personally thought North Shore should have won the Westlake game handily last year, if not for truly unimaginative and pathetic offensive play calling. Making Shad a RB all game? Where did that come from? Too predictable. Credit to Westlake for taking advantage of it, but your posts seem to indicate Westlake is some juggernaut the likes of which the state has never seen. Not sure I buy that. But I wish them well - my team (Highland Park) has a lot of similarities and has had similar success over the years (last night excluded....).

I made it through 6 and a half minutes of this. It blows my mind that the Aggies thought this fast talking doofus was going to take them to the promised land. "We got a drive...mumbles fast... then THEY got a drive...mumbles....then WE got a drive...mumbles....then THEY got a drive." Next level analysis, there, Jimbo.
