  1. In a little over 36 hours fasted right now. There’s no goal length of time I’m shooting for beyond 72ish hours. If I feel decent tomorrow evening, I’ll try to keep it up. Otherwise, I’ll break by having a small keto meal.

I feel like absolute shit right now though. Allergies are wrecking my ass and carb flu isn’t helping either.

  2. My new poor person yak is a 10 footer and I doubt you’re gonna find anything less than a 12 (based on my research) that’ll handle your weight plus a cooler and horse/dog.

  3. Iv been looking around craigslist like a poor for my first yak. This one catches my eye as being a pretty good deal. He said the paddle included is a bending branches too.

edited to add that I’d mostly do lakes and maybe some rivers and would love to sail with the surly flotilla and be able to keep up. being able to fish in the yak would be important too

  4. so I just realized why my electric brewgaloo thread wasn't happening....I never saw this one so here we are.

I kegged and tapped my hefeweizen and pale ale ( both bee cave brewery recipes) for the kiddo bday party last weekend and they were big hits.  I added *ducks* silver edible sparkles to the hefe.  Despite not meeting reheinsgebot, it was sparkly and fun.

  5. In theory, business cards don’t. That was what was driving the ink business and it’s 80k. I’m still probably going to do it after summer once my kids are back in daycare and can meet the $5k spend in 3 months.

As it is now, looks like I was being overly cautious about the 5/24 anyways as were both well below it. Doesn’t mean I can’t plan cautiously for the future I suppose. The chase FU is one of my every day cards with its 1.5 points on everything so it just makes sense to grab one for my wife and get 3 points for a year.

So far, I’m only investing in chase UR. We don’t have any hotel cards and don’t really stay at hotels all that often. We also have no allegiance to one certain chain. Are we better off just banking UR points and transferring as needed? I know there was a big shakeup recently with hotel cards and now I definitely can’t make heads or tails out of what works best for us.
