This fucking idiot created that dipshitted name and didn’t even check to make sure he could secure the URL. Wow.

Outside of certain tragic hilarity with all of this, I believe the one other benefit this absurdity will provide is that there is one fanbase dumb enough to wind up backing him in some form. With that group’s support, he’s going to get in the middle of a recruitment or two and royally fuck them up for ATM.

I am with you all. I can't see how a hs athlete can sign NIL that allows a college to control his actions before he ever enrolls.

It's not like it is Nike telling him to not participate in an Adidas event.

Funny how Jimbo claims to know nothing about his school's NIL program, yet somehow this kid is not allowed to play in an all-star football game due to his nil contract. Who would care about that other than his college football coach?

It's not like playing hurts his nil value, if anything he stands to increase it. Theoretically, having an athlete you already signed play in an all-star game should enhance your value in the contract.

Unless you are the football coach and worry about him getting injured.

I think there is a possibilty of a violation here and most likely is, but what is provable?

Aggy didn't have a NIL collective when they got the #1 class, so are any of these considered boosters?  If it's a company that is sponsoring his NIL contract, is there anything to prevent them saying to not play any games until his college career to prevent injury?  I doubt it.

Also, I've been told on this site that none of these were NIL deals, seems to me maybe some were.  If there isn't a NIL contract here, seems like Aggy is really screwing themselves as White can just blow the whistle if they don't pay him.

I will also add that playing in a Pennsylvania high school all star game doesn't increase any market value for a company especially one based in Texas.  If he blows out his knee and misses his freshman year it hurts it.

It’s not just about state laws.  There are still NCAA recruiting rules.

NCAA rules are can't use as an inducement (really hard to prove unless someone fucks up), schools can't offer, and has to be Fair Market Value (impossible to govern).  There is nothing about getting paid as a high schooler.  Puma signed a multi million dollar deal with a basketball player in NC.  If this player played in public school then he would no longer be able to play based on NC laws, but since he is in private it didn't effect him at all.

Wait, the official release said that a high school athlete had an NIL deal with Texas A&M?

I think that the laws in Pennsylvania would apply here and they might allow it.  Texas doesn't.  There's also a chance I misunderstand or am confusing the laws.

  5. HEB had a beer called Sports or Sportz in the early 2000s.  Definitely the worst beer I ever had, but it was $4 for a 12 pack.

edit:  Apparently I missed an earlier post speaking of the merits of Sportz.

    Aggies never lie:

"The coach told the investigator he apologized multiple times and that it was the custodian who escalated the confrontation, leaving the coach feeling “abused and harassed.” Addazio said he left the restroom and was confronted by the custodian. However, the investigator said that a review of surveillance video from the building showed Addazio "escalated the situation, became frustrated, and refused to move on from the situation."

So you would be ok with athletes in the NFL, MLB, and the NBA being able to up and leave a team whenever they wanted for no reason at all?  I'm guessing not idiot.

If OU had any balls, they'd pull the fucker's scholarship right now and tell him to go to hell.

Did you know in the pro leagues they have something called contracts? The players sign for a # of years and are paid accordingly.  In college, contracts don't exist.  Hard to believe someone on a sports forum didn't know this.

Idk if that’s the answer but go off sis

    s reactions please GIF

No it's absolutely the answer.  It can be accomplished one of two ways.  1.  Ask Sark to tank so we can fire him, seems like a reasonable request.  2.  Have boosters/former players/alum talk shit about Sark to the recruits so they don't come here.

I am a fan of the 2nd way as any good coach would love to come to a university that purposefully undermined it's last coach.  Also, they will be excited to coach terrible players from our shitty classes.
