It’s totally reckless leaving that dog in the world one second after he made the first aggressive move at the baby. She’s trying to unleash him on the world.

Yep.  Hey, I need to get rid of this dog, yeah tried to attack me and my baby.  But otherwise, it's really sweet.  She's kept it for nearly a year?

You don’t take Penix after signing Cousins. You choose a path for your team at the end of 23. If you believe you are a QB and EDGE away, then make a decision. If everything is in place plug in a veteran.

Cousins with an Achilles recovery is a bit questionable, but who else you get? (Too bad they didn’t get Dak, they would have probably extended him @ huge money)
Once you make your plan stick to it. Buy your vet QB, draft your EDGE, get a decent vet backup, and go.

Fontanot came up with this crazy plan and sold it to dummy Blank. They end up with an expensive vet QB, missed on the first defensive pick for a day one contributor, traded a three to reach for a DT. And picked a player who won’t likely play until 2026/27 at age 27. It does no favors for Penix or cousins. It’s just stupid.

Besides the issues of draft and cap management we come to the team situation. In Atlanta the fans will be screaming for Penix the second Cousins throws an INT. It could split the team.

If you liked Penix that much then pass on Cousins. He was easily going to be there at 8. I think it’s stupid to think any rookie qb in this draft is perfect for a ready to win team, Penix has a learning curve and the only way to learn is to play. ATL per usual getting too cute.

Ed Zachary.   I think Ross Tucker put it best in that it was a selfish move to ensure they preserve their jobs for two more years rather than make a big run now.

nothing against penix.  He’s purportedly the one that’s most ready to play.  But Atlanta was shocked penix was there at 8 or if they wanted him that bad why not trade up and spend Kirk’s money on other players?

fontenot was allegedly threatened by bellichek as well

Desperate and didn't want to go into next year with Heinecke?

Didn’t think you could get a qb at 8?  Poor planning or research I guess.  Surely they weren’t shocked that penix was there at 8?

Not saying he’s not worthy of a top ten pick though most mocks had him much lower, but just shows poor planning and foresight.

  5. Speaking of eating baby:

I am going to give this one more shot. Please be kind or just scroll on.

    Basic info:
Male, neutered, around 5 yrs old, friendly, high activity needs walks daily and loves hiking, is up to date on shots.
Prefer a home with no other animals (not aggressive but territorial) and absolutely no kids/babies (teens would be fine)

Leo is not acclimating to a baby in the home at all, we've given it almost a year, it is not working out and he needs a new home.

    Details/full transparency:

Leo is still currently living in our home. It is a dangerous situation for myself and most importantly my son. Back in October, Leo went after me one morning. I think he was just startled with my quick movement around the baby, but my husband had to pull him away from me and restrain him until he calmed down. Had my husband not been home I don't know what I would have done.

Since that incident we have drove all over, called dozens of rescues and shelters, made several posts with absolutely no luck in finding a place for Leo to go. He cannot stay here.

Since october, Leo has growled and showed territorial behaviors around my son 3 additional times and has mouthed at my legs and hands a few times as well when baby was crying.

Now that my son is very mobile, gets into everything and constantly tries to pet Leo through the baby gate- my concerns for my sons safety has tripled. (Just last night, oaklee tried to pet him and he growled at him again) I cannot rest, our home is no longer our safe space. We have been very patient and diligent in trying to place Leo with a family situation that will work for him.

Almost every shelter/rescue I have spoken to (behavioralist as well) have suggested just putting Leo down because homing him will be incredibly difficult. -which it has proven to absolutely be.

I am exhausted. My husband is exhausted. Leo is miserable. I would really love to see him be the happy thriving pup he was before we brought baby home. (And before you go there- I was infertile for 15 years of my relationship with my husband, our child is a miracle and was not planned on when we brought Leo home.)

If you are interested or know anyone who would be please reach out to me. I have one last page of rescues given to me by animal control 3 hours away from home to make calls to, if none of these are able to take him and no one comes through I may have to make the devastating decision to put him down. I do not want to do that, please, someone come through for him.image.thumb.png.cf15bd9992451310c9ae0ba5cfa87336.png

Penix was rising fast. The Raiders absolutely were gonna take him, that's been confirmed I think. I dont understand the handwringing personally. All we do is constantly talk about how important the QB position is. If you see a guy that you think is a franchise QB sitting there at 8 you take him. Why are we acting like Kirk Cousins matters, at all? Coming off the achilles, old, less playoff wins than Dak. Yeah let's just totally trust him guys. And as far as paying him so much, who cares about that either? Figure out the money later.

If you don’t trust him why give him 180m?

Maybe they didn't think Penix was going to be available at 8

Didn’t see a lot of mocks that had him going in top ten. In fact, quite a few didn’t have him going in the first.

    could’ve traded up to 4,5 or 7

I am going to miss Derka. It's clear he genuinely loves the University and his posts usually are informative. Yes, there are rants but you can gloss over them instead of making fun. It's ok if you don't agree with his takes but who is to say who is correct. Some people can't help but bully (especially on the internet) and I believe this site is set up to encourage that behavior. I also think the 🖕 reaction is offensive. We should have thumbs up and down instead.

Aren’t you the guy that calls RT supporters poors?

  9. Penix will be a distraction.  I can see why they like him but this was a mistake imo. If you wanted oenix, why bring in cousins?

Yes, the deep south is known worldwide for having better weather, and prettier women than California or Arizona.

I'm sure there's no way she was a legacy and daddy or daddy's Yale Alum business partner helped to get her into Yale.

Also, Texas was just named a "new ivy" by Forbes...

I think California girls may be a bit too diverse for some.   I have no doubt the sec has a better ratio

Anecdotes are fun. HP has a huge UGA pipeline. A lot of those kids got into UT. A gal was accepted to Yale from HP, but not UT. That was 5 years ago.

Im not saying it’s a political decision to not go there. I think more than that, they’re very accustomed to Austin, because most of all their parents went there, and they want to experience other parts of the country, and most of the people they hang out with in HS are going to UT.

Making fun of black people as monkeys doesn’t fly, even at Ole Miss, as this guy has already found out. I imagine it is less acceptable in Athens than in Oxford.

Did the guy find out from the ole miss student body or the Twitter verse?

I don’t understand smart affluent kids going to places like ole miss and bama but hey maybe their path is already paved if they’re rich

Yeah, the Highland Park, Memorial, Alamo Heights, Churchill students, who were in the top quarter but not top 6% who scored 1250+ on the SAT are looking more at Vandy, North Carolina, Virginia, etc. than they used to.

All three of those schools are more acclaimed than Texas.  Change that 1250 to 1450

Yep. Particularly UGA and Vandy. Also, a lot are CHOOSING to avoid UT and were accepted.

    Why?  Too ethnic?

Every kid that went to UGA from my daughter’s school that went to UGA in the past 2 years was not accepted at UT. Not sure about their stance on calling black people monkeys

    Well. Sec?

The SEC and southern schools are getting better. The states are growing.  And the schools are attractive due to weather, better looking women, sports, and happier students with less screeching weirdos with purple hair and pierced septums.  There are all sorts of articles discussing how applications to southern schools have been exploding.  Them staying more open and having less restrictions during Covid was another factor.

From an academic perspective, they’re getting kids that couldn’t get into Texas.  Fully admit they’re the best football conference.

  14. As a university we are in a weird place. Yes we’re in the south but we aren’t like the sec schools. We align more with the pac schools so I blame espn and deloss for that.  We could’ve saved the pac

I think there was heavy interest from the B1G but ou’s academics may have been an issue.

I think the sec was the best business decision but I don’t want to be lumped in with those inbreds.  I’m not sure this was a slam dunk decision for cdc

God dammit. Going to need some clarification. Is he from Dallas proper? Is he from a northern suburb with a high number of people who like to sell houses and dabble in possible insurrection?

Not sure.   Best guess would be northern burbs or highland park?  Maybe garland
