Don’t think Holland can do anything until UT releases him from his NLI.
The Ball St guard Jaylin Sellers is visiting UCF right now, so we don’t seem to be pursuing too hard at the moment. Not sure what Tyrese is waiting for if he’s planning on coming back. It looks like there’s a dead period from May 18-26 so maybe the activity will start up again after that and some guys withdraw from the draft.
Tyrese recently had a death in the family (his grandmother I believe) so that's delaying his decision.

Jelani Watkins had a big day at the State Championship track meet, winning gold in the 200 with a 20.54 and both relays. I saw a tiktok of the 4x100 where he slows down to shittalk the little Duncanville anchor before just blowing him away
I'd assume the DVille anchor is Caden Durham

So does this mean something can block the view from the NEZ, or that the NEZ can get higher to block another view?
Pretty sure it is being interpreted that we can make the SEZ even bigger and more bowl-like and fully closed off (like the below), but not sure if there are plans of that happening.

The dude is rumored to have similar issues to Chris Marshall when he was in high school. If he's in the 2024 class for Texas, I'll be shocked.
Gerry just agreed that Modden likely wont be in the class. He danced around saying basically what you're saying here. Think we can all agree now that he likely won't be in the class come NSD

Wouldn't hate him getting fired and some of those portal commits decide to decommit

Yep. We might get the DB from Judson as well. Once these guys start hopping on board Modden probably decommits to go play WR somewhere.
Agreed, I still don't see Modden staying in this class if we're able to land 5 of the 6 mentioned.

Rodman is listed at 6'6, 2 inches taller than Sellers. Not quite as good of a shooter and less eligibility left, but probably fills the gap at wing a bit better size-wise.

They'll take anyone who makes the overall class rating look better regardless of character or being comically overrated early in a cycle and consistently dropping. Whatever makes the numbers look better!!

Eric Nahlin: Five things we know about Texas recruiting this Spring
A DB haul of Black, Gipson, Bridges, and Johnson-Rubell would be fantastic. Mack would be a crazy cherry on top.

Whoa. Looks like Kansas is dropping major bags this cycle.
Wouldn't be surprised. The rumor is $2M but I'm not sure if I believe it being that high.

Murphy apparently likes being at Texas and thinks he's being developed well, particularly the mechanical side. He's had some maturity issues and they've worked with him on that. His family and advisors think he's in a good spot.
The pitch is basically this: You're going to be the back-up for the 2023 season to a guy that has high draft potential and also might get hurt. The guy behind you wants to redshirt. You will almost certainly get chances to play this year and put good film together. If you just end up winning the spot, why leave? If you don't, but you play plenty and look good, you're going to get paid by someone via NIL before 2024. You can't lose by staying here and continuing to become an NFL-ready QB.
I don't know how replicable the situation is for the future, but I do believe that schools and staffs that can show a history of development will be able to manage depth at historically normal levels for those positions in which the development history is true. NIL will also matter to some degree, but that's more where the floor for the roster component comes in. Murphy is likely getting some NIL or in line for some, but nothing crazy (this is speculative, I don't know anything on this part as yet). Anyone approaching him in the portal was unlikely to have been willing to bid high enough to offset all of the UT/Seven Loss Steve positives for 2023.
Or, maybe there's a chick he's in love with and doesn't want to go to Tuscaloosa, Lansing or UCLA and leave her.
This all makes sense for the 2023 season, but do you know the pitch/plan for 2024? He has to know people are already anointing Manning QB1 coming into 2024. Obviously he could win the job, but is it "try to win it in the spring of '24 and if you don't, good luck elsewhere"?
