Any updates on TV for this weekend?  I see Bally's has a free 7-day trial so if I time it correct, I can get the Semifinals and Finals for no cost if I cancel on time.  Before I had kids in the district, I remember just casually flipping through channels between college football games and it seemed like every round was readily available somewhere on TV (KBVO, et. al.).  Now that we don't have cable and now that my oldest gives a darn about the local high school team, I can't find shit about fuck even this far into the bracket.  da fuh?

Could be wrong but I think Bally only carries the finals.

If they carry the semis someone plz post because I can't find it.

Looks like fubo has the Bally app also,  that might be another option.

    Croot Playoff Reactions

      Hide contents

The Longhorns have punched their tickets to the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. Waiting will be the Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day.

Texas targets and commits are excited about the news and shared their reactions with Horns247.

We'll keep this list growing as more reactions come in.

In case you missed it, Horns247's Jordan Scruggs gathered reactions from recruits after the Longhorns' Big 12 Championship win.

WR Parker Livingstone, Texas commit -- "The team and culture that Coach Sark has put together is truly amazing. Can't wait to be there and see what they do!!"

DL Melvin Hills, Texas commit -- "I’m happy for the guys. They deserve it. They been working. We all knew this was the season they been grinding for it. Washington's a good team but Texas going to win by at least 10 points."

2025 QB KJ Lacey, Texas commit -- "Crazy how everything went down. Seems like everything was just set up perfectly for this year. Won the Big 12 championship, now in the playoffs. But you know it’s time to get in that playoff mode and take care of business. Hook’em."

Edge Alex Foster -- "They deserved it, but the Tide making it over FSU was crazy."

2025 WR Taz Williams Jr. -- "Texas deserved to be in it. They got a special team this year . They are deep and got a great staff that can win different kinds of ways. They can win the whole thing!"

2026 RB Javian Osborne -- "Big time for the program making the playoffs. They deserve it definitely. Washington isn’t a team to look over. They have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball and the defense just has to be ready because they can either air it out or get dirty and get the ground anad pound going."

2026 Edge Shaun Scott -- "I feel like Texas making the playoffs is big. I like what Coach Sark is doing with the program and turning Texas into a winning culture. It’s also big because I have a great relationship with Edge Coach, Coach Jaqc, he believes in me and wants to expand my game at Texas. ... I also like how Washington is building their program, like how it used to be, and handling business."

2025 S Jontae Gilbert -- "Texas has something to prove. They are going to win the natty hands down."

2025 CB Caleb Chester -- "It definitely gives it a boost on in my recruiting cycle! And I really think they have a chance at winning a Natty. And keep getting back to the playoffs in a lot of more seasons to come."

A lot of those guys talked about the team culture.
    Pretty cool.

The Big 12 is the aggy of conferences. Why did they ever leave?

The big 12 never worked for me.

I grew up with the SWC and it was very cool having conference games with in state teams,  going to the Cotten Bowl,  and winning National Championships.

It's hard to imagine a kid growing up with the 12 big when he gets my age sitting around talking to his friends about the great games with Iowa State and West Va.

So long big 12 and Fuck Brett Yormark.

Well, I'm finally cutting the cable and getting YouTube TV.  Can someone please walk me through the process, preferably with a diagram?

I'll walk you through it and keep you up to date on everything for $9.99 a month.

You don't even have to remember when to renew,  i'll do that for you.

  5. I live way out in the sticks and living at the end of the power grid causes annoying  internet outages.  We tried streaming and the quality of service just wasn't very good,  way to much buffering.

Have now gone back to dish and those problems have gone away.  Not counting the internet problems,  I didn't see streaming as a better product.  There wasn't a package that really had everything I wanted,  and the price advantage it provided was rapidly disappearing.  The declining price advantage was at least half of the reason we went back to satellite.  We had YouTube TV,  not bad really,  but it wasn't more than 5 months they came out with a price increase and told me how good it was because I was getting so many more channels,  channels that I would never watch in 3 lifetimes.

Living in the country is good but some choices are limited.  TV service is one of them.

Texas wins, confetti comes down, everyone is cheering, then all the lights go out and the gong hits. Crowd goes nuts and Taker comes out to deliver a Tombstone to Yormark on the 50 yard line.

I'm not generally a fan of booing teams or folks,  but I would love to hear a defining chorus of boos when Yormak steps on that podium after a Longhorn win.

The weirdest ones it seems are those that are Aggie “ former students”. I have a cousin who went there for one semester, hoping to be a vet, and missed his high school gf so much he quit after Christmas and went back home and got married at 18. Not in the corps. He’s now 67 and acts like he is the model Aggie. Fucktard.

    This is very true.

Well, with how things are going right now with Holgo and UH, this would very well be the case in the next 2 weeks.  Traylor aint jumping on the UH job while A&M could potentially throw a truck full of cash at him next week. Once the aggy foolishness is taken care of, then Traylor can back channel UH, so UH can dismiss Holgo and bring in Traylor within the hour.

I agree money talks,  and Taylor would probably take the aggy job.

However, it seems like every time the coaches get fired the question is always who are we going to get to replace him?  If Traylor gets good recruits and wins at Cougar High he will be the answer to that question and be able to pick where he wants to go.

Traylor is their automatic “school” choice and looking like he will be it. No way he turns them down to stay at UTSA or wait for the likes of Baylor or Cougar high.

Someone on this thread made the case for Taylor to Cougar High that made sense.

He could clean up on the 2nd tier recruits and maybe snag a few top tier guys in the Houston and East Texas area and put together a pretty good team without having to worry about the Bull Shit at A&M.  He could pad his resume and his choices would be a lot better than they are now.

    Baylor,  no.
