If I were you, I'd come in on Berry off 35.  Plan to be there about noon or so.  Go to Mama's pizza.  It's a cool old place with lots of TCU sports memorabilia and old arcade games.  Good kids pizza and cold beer.

When heading tot he game, west down Berry towards the stadium, by this time there will be some traffic but not terrible.  Keep taking Berry and take a right at Berry and Bellaire, it'll be a 4 way stop.  Go down until you get to a T intersection.  Park at one of the houses right around there. From there you'll have a short 3 block walk down to the stadium and Frog Alley.  Your son will love the scene there.

Enjoy it, I actually like Amon Carter although it's been a house of horrors lately.

I worked at Mama's pizza while in high school in the 80's.  That area has gone down hill a bit so some of the luster is gone but that will be the best way to avoid traffic.  I like the other dad's idea of hoofing it while chugging beer.  I might have to go full dad and take large ear phones and listen to Craig Way over the transistor radio.  The horn and overly loud music are a killer.

Nice, my step father used to hold the microphone on the field interviews when he was a kid for the Humble Radio Broadcasting network.  His dad was the engineer.  Anyway, he said that TCU had the worst catered food and that Baylor had the best.  He is a Tech grad so take it for what it's worth.

Last game I went to there I parked in a neighborhood off Park Hill.  It was a bit of a hike but by the time you get to your car the traffic has passed.

Of course, the last time I was there they had the old upper deck.

Believe it or not, from around the 10 yard line seats you couldn't see the end zone because of the outer wall of the upper deck.  It deserved to be blown up.

Where did you find that picture?  That's old school.

What're you talking about, we get to host both UAB and High Point University?  Woz's alma mater!

LSU should be a good game.  The home conf. games with Kansas, Tech, Baylor, et. al. are gonna be bloodbaths.

No doubt.  I guess the new coach speculation will begin again shortly after conference play starts.  There were some good ones hired last season while we watched.  Hopefully we can find a seasoned coach wanting to exit the NBA with quality coaching results in CBB.

  5. I couldn't be more bored by the non-conference schedule.  The Drum is going to be empty.  Even with the possible cheap wins, It's going to be hard to generate much interest outside the die hard Surly fans.
