I completely agree that serious illness in children is terrible. I just haven’t seen any data to support that it’s happening at a frequency that makes the risk calculation change for how my children live their lives. If that exists, and I’m wrong, so be it.
This is coming from someone that is staunchly pro-vax, supports masks in schools, and a virtual learning option for those who feel their children need one.
Question: I pull a 24 foot camper that weighs 6.5k loaded. Right now I pull it with a 2018 Sierra half ton, and it pulls fine, but I pull it a lot (thousands of miles this summer alone).
Should I look to buy a bigger truck? Am I basically asking for transmission problems?
Then realize that these dudes on TexAgs, most of whom attendee Texas A&M, are actually the smartest and brightest of the “dumb bastards.” Maybe brisket is right. We’re fucked.
Are we saying there should be a remote learning option? Because I definitely agree with that, especially for children with comorbidities or those that live with people that have them.
I also think that schools should stay open for in-person learning.
No clue if you're right but it makes sense. Neither of my kids have been sick in over a year. Before that my oldest daughter (now 5) had RSV twice, hand foot mouth twice, as well as rhino virus, noro virus and tons of other shit.
You don't think the risks are bad for vaxxed people? Serious question. I'm also considering putting the gym on hold again.
No. Not at all. You still have robust protection from severe disease and death. If you’re vaxed go live your life.
Love the move from an athletics standpoint. Hate the move from a “having to associate with morons from the shittiest states in the country” standpoint.
