Kinda doubt the OC maybe getting another job would delay an announcement for an assistant DL coach. That's a lot of what-ifs away from being something relevant. Who knows though.
Interesting side note I just read on his Wiki - after two years as an assistant for the Redskins, Slowik worked as an analyst for PFF for three years before joining the 49ers.
I’m saying, what if Wright wants to see how it plays out. Who knows, but if it is Wright, I like that’s he’s professional enough to not leak it during a playoff run. He owes it to his current employer.
Edit: also it seems clear Slowik IS getting a HC job. He’ll probably take guys he trusts to run his defense.

So if it’s Wright - fine, whatever, hope he kicks some ass - why can’t he pull a Choate? If he’d agreed to take the job, then he would have had permission from the Texans, right? If so, then why not announce him asap so that he can begin to make contact w recruits and transfers etc? I’m honest that I don’t know if the NFL has specific rules on this compared to CFB
Sounds like Bobby Slowik is going to get a HC job. Seems possible all that shuffling on the Texans staff could lead to Rod Wright getting an NFL promotion.

The word I find misused the most and very annoying is boomer. If a person was born after ‘64 they’re not one. Just because someone is over 35 they’re not a boomer. I don’t mind insults, just know what you’re talking about. Insufferable prats.
Ok boomer

#2?? By volume maybe. Tis a bunch of a crap
Not true. I heard the field was expanding for the playoffs next year. Gonna need more players to cover all that grass.

My understanding is Nansen is already under contract and the buyout for him to leave Texas is ~500K. That is what the Arizona side was saying during the HC buzz anyway.
The AZ $9.95ers seem like jackasses.

No idea if they have any insight, but it is one of their fan sites. Who knows.
If Nansen is so great, he’d bring us the offensive players too.

Is Tulane star chasing, or are they actually loading up with talent?
5 star Mario Williams makes you giggle.

I don't buy Nansen going back for the same role. You're telling me the school with a $250 million deficit can afford to make Nansen one of the top paid coordinators in the country after we already money whipped him along with having the daughter factor? Doesn't pass the smell test. Just placating the fanbase so they stop doomposting about the roster all leaving
It reads as “holy crap the portal freaks us out!” logic. If the San Jose State guy is good, let him make good hires. Don’t foist the beloved coordinator on him.

Should totally hire an assistant the players want in order to hold the team together. Just ask Texas basketball.
This never ends well. Not to mention that Arizona is not a terrible job. They could easily snag a good lower level coach or rising star coordinator.

They should probably not listen to the players.

It’s interesting to watch the Steelers and just the difference in the organizations.
They were down big to start, but their defense stepped up, didn’t commit penalties, and had some pride.
Completely the opposite of the Cows. Just such a difference in cultures. If Dallas doesn’t get out to an easy lead, they kinda just stop doing work and they pout.
Pitt will probably lose, but have to respect how they care to fight.
lol.

Apologies if this has already been discussed ad nauseum, but if Harbaugh moves on and Kelly just happened to be tabbed to succeed him, what of Bo Davis & Son?
Bo will get better use out of his sweatshirts.

Nielsen reportedly has multiple interviews for DC candidates - is Sark now pulling sitting NFL DC’s for CFB position coaches?
that’s bigger balls than pulling Nansen out of his position
Don’t get me wrong, Nielsen’s a cool candidate; Rod Wright seems to be lacking in…. resume? OL and DL coach seem to be exceptionally high on Sark’s list in regards to “hire-a-BAMF”. He slapped the OC title on Flood to make sure he would get paid and Davis was a Top 3 paid assistant coach in all of college football. So he’s going to Wright? A former Horn who has done well at… UTSA? I’m skeptical here but would want Wright to kick all kinds of ass if it was him.
The Clint Hurtt / Pete Carroll connection is interesting as you know Sark takes advice from him.

There’s also the case that Nielsen can’t go anywhere until the Falcons hire someone new and he’s released from his contract.
I read too much about this yesterday and you're right. Assistants have to wait on teams to inform them of their status - fired, retained, etc. So even if he eventually doesn't stay, he still might not be able to talk with anyone until the Falcons decide.

Maybe, but I wouldn’t take his gif teases too seriously. Guy makes his living hyping up engagement on these announcements, he’s used that Rogan one a few times now for relatively middle of the road commitments
But a reserve LB from Bama?

Michigan prob promotes Sherrone Moore and I bet they don't have many transfers.
Regarding McMillan and others - some of y'all forget that money isn't unlimited and that each transfer we get takes chances away from young guys on the roster already. I'd love to see us get a TE and a DT but otherwise I'd be done in the portal. Maybe another safety and a "free" punter in case the freshman shits the bed.
McMillan is the exception to the rule, baby.
