  1.  Oh and there are moose in those parts, don't believe there are elk.  Caribou in spots, especially northward.  The dude that worked for the pilot of the float plane I've charted a few times used to go moose hunting every Fall.  A good moose will fill up a chest freezer, maybe more.

He would also have a keg of beer shipped from Anchorage every year, I think via the yearly barge from Anchorage.   My best friend and I did some damage to one one evening when we were socked in because of bad weather.  We tipped him well though.

    And now this...

Pretty sure Aldi's in Texas don't sell booze, but maybe that is around the corner.

    Esquire Article

Aldi's in Carrollton sells beer & wine.  They sell some Dutch made beer under store brands that are close to other beers.  Broegel is their bock beer, the label looks like Shiner Bock.  It's not bad, tastes like an Euro version of SB.  They also have beers similar to Pilsner Urquell, Heineken, and maybe Becks.

Obviously, Likud and Islamic Terrorists have no power to impose anything.

There was a time when then entire country was christian. As in 100%, every single person, everybody loddy doddy. Naturally, given this hegemonic advantage, these evangelicals, when given the opportunity to write a constitution, wrote into it's first amendment "freedom of religion". Not freedom to practice christianity. Freedom for all religions of any kind. Total freedom.

Liberals are out of their minds. Getting Roseanne fired was hatefulness, not kindness. If a jewish baker doesn't want to bake a Nazi cake, they shouldn't have their entire life destroyed. If a muslim baker doesn't want to make a "Mohammed was a pedophile" cake, they shouldn't have their life destroyed. If you think this you are literally out of your mind. You stand for hate, not love. You are wrong and you should feel bad.

The human heart cries out for God. And when people turn away, they simply create new false idols. The most common one is government, and it's why people cling with such passionate irrationality to their crazy beliefs.

    You're equating gays with Nazis?

It’s a pain in the ass for most folks who don’t have a house in Southampton to get to this open. There aren’t any big hotels local, and only a few small hotels anyways. Most are taking the LIRR (train) from the city or somewhere on Long Island. The parking is a long way from the course especially with the usual summer traffic. So many people just don’t want to deal with the effort. I have a long CSB story about how we dealt with the whole issue in 1995 but will spare everyone unless someone is interested.

    sure, why not?

  5. I've had current laptop for about 3 months, I live in DFW area, and use Windows10 Home with Microsoft Edge as the browser.  About a week ago I clicked on espn.com from the prompt in the address window (have accessed the site numerous times before).  I get then directed to espn.com.ar    I can manually type "espn.com" in the address window but I'm always directed to the Argentine edition.

I'm sure Argentina is swell country and all, but I would prefer the good ol' U.S. version that's in English and covers American sports, not just soccer, tennis & motor sports.  Any help would be appreciated.

And if I get one "Don't cry for me" crack...

Are you voluntarily going to Wichita Falls? If so, why?

    Casinos, right across the river.

Speaking of “right across the river” and WF dining, there are/were catfish restaurants located just across the Red River in a few places in the WF sphere of influence; Bill’s in Waurika, The Peach Orchard in Terral and (back in the day)Tinker’s across the Red from Burkburnett.  It was said that back in the day, they were set up for Texans because the beer drinking age for girls was 17 when it was 18 in TX.  Don’t know if it was true or not, but Bill’s is popular to this day for Wichitans to make a weekend visit.  I try to visit there every few years when I have WF duty.

If your wife likes drinking beer in her car, P2 it is!

P2 has tables...   Fun fact, P2 was considered a “stag bar” back in the day, not in  the strip club sense, but it was pretty much “male only” during  daylight hours.  Many WF power brokers (doctors, attys, judges, oilmen, etc) would go there, get hammered at lunch and eventually make it back to the office.  If womenfolk went to P2, they (and their man) would stay in the parking lot and get curb service.

  8. I had a love/hate relationship with Stanley’s beanie burger; loved it when I ordered it and ate the first few bites, hated it a couple hours later.

P2 is a WF institution; steak on garlic with a red draw for the win.

  9. "Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a colloquial term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine." -Wikepedia

Basically any massage or pleasing sight/sound that makes the back of your neck tingle.  YouTube has a shit ton of these videos.  Supposed to help the viewer relax and maybe help them nod off to sleep.  Lots of Indian (dot) videos from barbers/masseuses.
