If Yormark is able to do this I’d lean more on the side of him being a wizard and less snake oil salesman…that would be quite the trade.

Reducing exit fees and unequal revenue distributions might help, particularly if Miami and FSU left.

Going full circle back to the Shaggy days, this nugget dropped today from FSU 247 insider:

    - I do believe FSU is wholeheartedly and actively looking to get out of the ACC.

    - The ACC Spring Meetings were FSU firmly issuing a warning about the future. ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips comments on Tuesday at ACC Kickoff showed that the warning wasn't taken very seriously, at least from the perspective of putting messaging out there.

    - Why is August 15th discussed? An exiting school must notify the conference and its members of its plans by that date in order to leave by the end of the following June, resulting in rougly a 10-month wait.

    - If notification doesn't happen by then, then it becomes a 22-month wait (two seasons).

    - Realignment, depatures, etc. involve a lot of moving parts. Landing spot, exit fees, grant-of-rights legal situation, etc. I don't have thorough details on how that will all work if FSU goes forward with truly departing the ACC.

I just want to state that I believe it is more of a reality today than ever before.

    So FSU news on TUESDAY????

Football is 80% of the value.  Kansas and Duke are just filler.  North Carolina barely more and only because they are in a populous state.  I think all the love for UNC is very misguided.  When the Big 10 and SEC look at the numbers, they won't have nearly the enthusiasm for UNC as message board posters.  They might still take them, but it won't be because of direct TV $$s.

Probably true, but the original plan A for the SEC was to add Texas and UNC, not aggy and Mizzou.

  4. Big 12 Commissioner Will Eye Two Additions to Replace Oklahoma, Texas in 2024

The Big 12 has officially expanded to 14 teams with the additions of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF, but it won’t stay that way for long. After this year, they’ll return to 12 teams once Oklahoma and Texas depart for the SEC. Despite the recent shakeup, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark wants the conference to stay at 14 teams, hinting that it could once again expand.

“I’d like to stay at 14 [teams] even with the departure of Texas and Oklahoma, candidly,” Yormark told Spencer Linton of BYU Sports Nation. “We’ll see if that’s a possibility or not. But I love 12.”

If he's flying AA, that means nothing.  Fly to DFW, connect to somewhere else.

Remember in the 80's when you had every SWA flight connecting through Love, and every AA flight connecting through DFW, the old joke was "when you die, you have to go through Dallas to get to heaven."

I hear it around here as: You can’t even get to “hailll” without going through Atlanta.  Delta and what not.

But to get back on track, today is Tuesday, so expect big news any minute.

No way the SEC leaves off UT-aggy AND UT-Arkansas in 2025.

Agreed.  Leaving one off in 2025 will allow them to set up a long-term schedule with pig and aggy split as home and away games.  If they switch to the nine-game schedule, and have one more "transition" year they could keep aggy on the schedule and play the ou schedule before starting four years of 3-6-6.

Agree, I despise that and the chrome oversized Pete face too, but I don't think we've used either in a really long time. I also hate the regular sized Pete face. Use the full Pete only.

I used to feel the same, but I like the script Cowboys, the full Pistol Pete, and some of the throwback helmets we've used. I do wish we would stick to white background on all the helmets.

Cowboy script is great but is stylize the bronco cowboy (like Wyoming does) and imo, you have some classic branding.
