They definitely stretched the last episode past it’s natural storytelling. I think they had 20 minutes of story to tell and then filler for the last 30 minutes. As far as the snake goes I figured El Cucko controlled it or something like that and made the snake bite him because he was disobeying.
if anything, i don't think it was because he was disobeying. pretty sure he wanted to meet Holly. and that's a big part of the reason her dude was shot up and killed. that was personal. he wanted to take that away from her. the scene of Holly standing behind fire and staring as if she doesn't give a fuck what happens to her cements this for me. think she said "it is time" (to meet Cuco) in that scene.
someone up-thread implied that Holly was the outsider. I woudn't say she was THE outsider, but definitely an outsider. so, there could be more than one was my take away.

This stood out to me the most, especially since it was coming from Naivar.
“Here comes five-star Bru jumping in, so they all wanted to take a shot at him and get after him, and he didn’t back down. That was impressive for a young guy coming in as a true freshman during spring ball. So that was what most impressed me. Those guys were taking shots at him every day, just to test his worth, for lack of a better term, and he got after it and competed.”
Welcome to freshmen orientation. Oh well, I guess. I doubt the Texas players treat out of state players any differently, but who knows. I can see how it could be harder to establish a friend-base coming out of state, but that's something I would expect the program would address. And if the second year players want to challenge a first year 5 star, kudos to them. That's what competition is about.

Inside the Outsider eps 8-10 says Ralph and Holly had an "old fashioned romantic" quality to their relationship. Uhh... guess I didn't pick up on that. Maybe the books captured it better.

i backed out a little bit a few weeks ago and may experience my first lesson on capital gains.
dumb question. private account (non-401k). let's say I sell off 5 shares of CompanyA for profit, then decide to buy back (re-invest) 3 shares of CompanyA. i still have to pay capital gains on the original 5 shares, correct? trying to see if there is some type of opposite parallel to the wash rule.

Maybe someone else can copy paste but this thread is terrifying if accurate:
11/ if governments won’t do this at least keep your family safe, your loved ones with history of cancer or diabetes or any transplant will not be tubed if they need it even if they are young. By safe I mean YOU do not attend them and YOU decide who does and YOU teach them how to.
This one caught my eye. Is this a safety measure to protect others? No comprende.

so, a case does not necessarily entail a diagnosis, as suggested earlier in this thread. or, we have a common misunderstanding on what a case is. this seems essential to maths. is there some nomenclature for "diagnosed cases"?

so you can kill and sicken people through gross negligence and not be punished but lick a tub of ice cream and spend 30 days in jail?
but Dad, Johnny's parents let him do it.

Every night I google ransomware. If you google it now you will see stories from 1 day ago. Every night.
So IT gurus, what is the most vulnerable thing you shake your head at? I think mine was leaving the administrator account open, which is now disabled. Also, our RDP was opened then and now closed. Anything else?don't fault yourself. some of them (unethical hackers) are very good at what they do. in addition to "google-ing ransomware", ensure your team is up to date with CVE and other publicly known databases that list known vulnerabilities. one of the best things you can do is protect yourself from publicly known vulnerabilities and have a patch management standard in place.
patch management. patch. patch. i hear that word a lot from experienced pros.
much easier to have standards, procedures, table-top exorcises, IRT, etc.... with larger corps.

SK: 32 deaths; 5200 cases = 0.6% cfr on 80,000 tests.
thanks, that's a lot more clear than the article made it. still unclear is of the 5200 cases, how many were diagnosed with Covid-19. all? i need to look up "cfr". can't make sense of this math

The good:
Upon first reading, the stupid in me took over. For those stupids like me, mortality rate here includes everyone that has been tested. So, big difference between this mortality rate vs. other mortality rates that only include those infected. Very misleading unless I'm missing something.

i would have guessed he was playing in 280-290 range, closer to 290. current roster shows 290.
i think he was pushing 275 the previous year when we were playing him as a DE/LB hybrid.

Interested to hear what strikes and contracts you end up with after screening. Does anybody have a good tool for screening sets of options against various strategies. I usually just donkey my way around it, but there has to be some sites that will run some simple screens as a starting point. Or any tools anybody has been for the schwab ss platform?
like a stock simulator?

well lets check what our crack teams at the government have to say

I doubt that particular website gets a lot of traffic, but I bet those same precautions show up a lot of places. Personally, when I headed to Costco last week to get some vittles, I noticed that 40 16 oz bottles cost approx $2.50. So for the price of a beer at a bar, I can get two weeks worth of water, why not? I'm 99% sure I'll end up dropping those off in my office kitchen when I need to get rid of them, but for $5 I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep over my foolishness.
oh i see, you're a survivaillist.
