Lololol Thanks for putting your stupidity on full display. Show me the contract where UT committed to leave his name on the building until the end of time. You act as if there are so many clearly spelled out conditions to the money he gave as if it was a professional sponsorship agreement, not a donation. Just the very nature of a “donation” means he is giving money away, not receiving consideration. He/his family are not owed any damages, and UT wouldn’t be doing anything immoral  by changing the name after Littlefield has had his name on there for 100 fucking years.

You’re like those losers on twitter who scream “THINK ABOUT THE OWNERS!!!” every time a CBA comes up. The Littlefield family are not the ones suffering an injustice in the scenario you brought up.

It would not be a breach of contract.  It would be promissory estoppel.

The problem with these slippery slope arguments, besides the fact that they're an obvious logical fallacy, is that you're also trying to equate easy moves with extremely difficult moves.

What the fuck does one have to do with the other?

This OMG where does it all end bullshit is just a way to deflect and delay. Make these changes, it's easy.

It's hypocritical and wrong to pull Littlefield's name from shit he donated while keeping the money he donated.  There is no "obvious logical fallacy" to that.

Would you rather be the school who did the right thing even though it cost a lot of money, or the school who didn't do the right thing because, well, it was pretty expensive?

I don't have a problem removing them.  But don't keep the benefit.  Give them their money back with interest.

Would the right thing be to also shut down a school that excluded blacks from admission?  Why not?

What about cities and towns honoring slave owners?  Houston and Austin need new names.

If the powers that be are gonna end the Chaz experiment why not just play some 70’s/80’s country music on a few loud speakers at 6:00 am non-stop for 24 hours. It’s been proven that this works with classical music and loiters (see 7/11 and their success it’s it).  Just kick it up a notch on the loud speaker. There’s no way the Chaz would survive. Plus, we need some podcasts from the Chaz until they are forced out.

70s-80s country music is actually good.  Need some modern bro country on repeat.

we've been over this several times, but the cases spike, then the hospitalizations spike, then the deaths spike. here's the hospitalizations:

14 days later, hospitalization rates start to climb.

Studies vary but most agree symptoms show up as early as 2-3 days after exposure and the average is closer to 5-6 days. 14 days is thought to be the max time for incubation.
