A+ for the thread title change.
The Denver Harris news is incredible. It seems like he'd have to be paying into the school's NIL collective to come back, but with aggy you never can tell.

These tickets are going to be dirt cheap right before the game (and/or once 40k tickets to the schools are distributed).
Agreed. I'll bet lower bowl tickets are $500 or less by game time.

I like the background color in Justin's profile pic.

Ole Looch with a surprisingly cordial tweet. I like it better when he's not haha.
I suspect he was euphoric after the Texas loss, feeling a huge sense of relief that the 'sips' will not win a national championship this year. This chemical high (briefly) allowed him to be magnanimous.

Shit, I want to suit up and play for Choice. No wonder players gravitate toward him.

We failed to get much pressure on Penix last night and he developed a rhythm that really exposed our weaknesses in the secondary. We did finally start blitzing and that made Penix uncomfortable enough to throw a few incompletions and that helped give us a shot at the end. That makes me think our odds to win these games against a great QB improve dramatically with a consistent pass rush that makes them have to operate under some duress.
So, where is that help going to come from? Do we have a monster pass rusher on the roster or in the pipeline? I wouldn't mind seeing what Anthony Hill might be able to do playing on the edge in passing situations. He has the athleticism and explosiveness to potentially be a disruptor.
We did recruit the no. 1 pass rusher in the country, and we have a pass rusher coming in from the portal who rated near the top of those available. Both should offer immediate help as well as a maturing group of underclassmen. For the first time in a while I'm more worried about DT than DE.

It's a talent issue, and you also have to hand it to Penix and his receivers. They were lights out last night. I'm not sure I've ever seen so many wickedly good downfield passes along the sideline.

Fuck yeah!
Quinn came back to Texas and has taken on the mantle of leadership at the University. He went into Tuscaloosa and crushed those backwater bastards. He led Texas to a Big XII championship. Dude is a certified badass and has played an instrumental role in bringing Texas back to the top. Can't wait to see where this ride ends.

I'm trying to think of anything that Elko has done that has impressed since his hiring. Not the coaching staff. Not recruiting. Not portal. Not shitting on his Duke players on the way out. That button is the most impressive thing we've seen so far, I guess.

Boudin King in Jennings, LA, is about the only good stopping point I can recommend.

What am I trying to gaslight? You are a touchy one. Show us where Deion touched you.
Take the bet, or maybe have a coke and a smile and STFU.

- Except the prism through which they are looking at this move, as well as pretty much all other moves (including something as broad and significant as a coaching change), is whether or not it would help them beat Texas. The centerpiece of their asinine "Plan 2024".
- And this guy (as Chuckie pointed out) is the Aggiest of Aggies ... here's another sample from him
Good bull. Love to see Good Ags looking out for the interests of other Ags. 78Eagle is clearly looking at this in a non-biased way, and focused on what’s best for the kids.

I'm not sure we realize how good we have it. Texas is in the college football playoffs. Also, we have a head coach who both understands the importance of the trenches, but can also call the fuck out of an offense. Said coach can also recruit like a witch and has the athletic department aligned. Also, we recruited the no. 1 player in the land last year, who happens to be a Manning, and he's apparently a total badass QB.
So Texas is fucking back. And not in a sarcastic way. We are back and it's beautiful.
Then there are our rivals. Aggy just hired a guy straight out of a John Pinette joke, and then followed that up with a DC who was fired by Mack Brown four years ago. Plan 2024 is now more like Plan 1012 because they lost half of the mercenaries from the 2022 class, and their latest recruiting haul is dogshit. We are going to march into Pyle next year and crush those motherfuckers. Then there is OU. I don't think they have an offensive line next year. Also, they got to watch us win the Big 12 after beating us during the regular season, which feels like karma for the last 20 years.
Speaking of the Big 12, we have scoreboard on every last one of those worthless, coattail-hanging assholes and we now can put that shit on ignore. Also, Brett Yormark. It was fun as fuck to boo that asshole in Arlington and shithead had to stand there and take it. Speaking of dickheads, it's only a matter of time before Fuck Farrell goes to prison for trying to bang an underage girl, we never have to listen to Tim Brando call another Texas game, and FCB is sitting home alone tonight. So fuck all those hoes.
I guess the bottom line is that we are pretty much on top of the world, and it's Christmas Eve, and this community fucking rocks. So bottoms up, assholes.

This is a hysterical comparison. 2017 was the first year there was an early signing period, and only about 60 percent of players signed early. Now that there is more familiarity with the concept, the early signing day number is about 90 percent. But nice comparison anyway, Brauny. Enjoy the Elko magic.

Evan seems high maintenance, but is that it?
Sark has made a big deal out of building culture at Texas. Up until this season it was not clear whether that was coach speak or real talk. Pretty clearly, after this season, it's very real. Stuff like letting Jonathan Brooks take a snap in the Big 12 Championship is indicative of a strong culture. The team's fight-to-the-end mentality is indicative of strong culture.
Texas is now in a position where they have NIL money, and an attractive program for WR portal candidates, such that they can be selective. We want Adonai Mitchells, not Agiye Halls. So Sark is not going to take a WR that fucks up that culture. Is Stewart talented? Heck yes. Will he be a good culture fit? Us plebes on the interwebs can't answer that.
