This trashy show is going to clutch pearls because Rachel went to an Old South party back in college in Georgia? That’s rich.
You say back in college like it was decades ago. It was less than 3 years ago, 2 years after even KA decided Old South parties were a bridge too far. And was attended by a girl who has appeared in photos with confederate flags, liked photos of friends in racist costumes, and is accused of bullying a high school classmate for dating black guys.

The Indians, Pirates, and Orioles all have 2021 payrolls less than Bauer’s 2021 salary right now.

I was in line with him checking into a hotel maybe 10 years ago. I fanboyed a little bit and I’m sure he would have preferred to have been left alone but he was incredibly kind.

I’m on this team with this one. Delay the season a month and let’s try and get the most games in we can with people in seats and back out locally. I could give a shit about the DH in the NL or expanded playoffs at this point, I want the opportunity to use my normal season tickets as much as possible. If that means a months delay and 7 inning DH’s, I’m good with it.
MLB is the only one of the big sports that is now going into year 2 of lost local revenue.
Delaying the season a month isn’t a necessarily bad idea but that was a proposal that should have been made months ago, not two weeks before spring training starts. -
It seems to me that the MLBPA is more interested in making a stand in anticipation of next year’s CBA battle than doing what’s best for this season.
You mean doing what’s best for the owners this season.- 2

That the owners have a legitimate reason to try and delay the season a month while still paying the players a full season. It increases the likelihood of fewer missed games and more butts in seats potentially.
How does more games per week, and in turn fewer off days for make-up games, decrease the likelihood of missing games?- 1

I’m having a hard time picking a side in these ongoing battles between owners and players.
Then you’re a fucking moron- 3

Beetlejuice, Big Fish, Ed Wood, and Edward Scissorhands are all great. Nightmare Before Christmas and Sweeney Todd are also pretty good.

i didn’t really like her until last night when she was sparring with victoria and her hair was straight. digging it. seems like a decent person too.
I know Katie a little bit. She’s good people. -
well life sucks. live in Leander or Hays and drive to work. I'd like to live in Tarrytown but I can't(Surly 99%er).
But you might be able to if less of Tarrytown (and less of Austin generally) was zoned SF. -
what do you mean the unmet demand is in Austin proper? People can't live in leander or Hays or Hutto and work in Austin?
If there was just as much demand to live in Hays or Hutto as Austin proper, housing prices in Austin proper wouldn’t be skyrocketing. -
I know what she is talking about. there is land all over pflugerville, east austin, hays, past leander. get investors to build apartments there. Is there some kind of land crisis in the Central Texas area? why do people have to rent in Austin proper?
Maybe build on the harvey penick golf course. do we really need that?
Because the unmet demand is predominantly in Austin proper. Increasing housing supply way outside of Austin doesn’t do anything to address affordability in Austin. -
I think Ortiz is a sure-fire first ballot inductee, but then---the writers have only heard of this wild new designated hitter concept in the last couple of years so we have to be patient with them.
Would seem like PEDs would be the bigger issue than his being a career DH.- 1

Sad, Boerne has the demographic make up where with the right coach they could build a nice stadium, facilities, and etc.
Creating so many schools is really hurting San Antonio IMO. It's splitting what little talent they have too much.
Sounds like it’s one of the only areas of the state without totally fucked up priorities. -
Well, if you came from a nerd family like I did, my mom wanted smaller classes and more emphasis on serious AP offerings then a freshman annex and a unified football squad. But that was 15 years ago.
There are also some benefits to two 1400-person schools rather than one 2800-person school.
But yeah, the population estimates from 15-20 years ago of 4000 students never came to fruition. It seems like they way underestimated how many empty nesters would stick around.
Also, HP is more Pemberton than Tarrytown.- 1

I guess so many schools being closed was bad for the bottom line

When I sign into Fox Sports Go app it only lets me watch Fox sports channels that I have on YTTV (FS1 and FS2, Big ten network). Still can’t see stuff on FSSW. Can you?
Those are the only channels I see as well after logging in with YouTubetv. -

This probably is stupid but I read the rule is 2/3 of senators present have to vote to convict. Could a bunch of republicans just not show up resulting in a 2/3 vote to convict?
Theoretically he could be removed by just 34 Senators (2/3 of a quorum of 51) but I'm not sure there's a political upside to skipping the vote.

It was an honest question. We're still in the middle of a pandemic. Is it fair to ask if the time & resources used on impeachment should rather be used to help people during a pandemic? I hate Trump as much or more thab the next guy. I just can't wait until he's gone so we can focus on healing this country. Deplatform his ass and then let the courts convict him.
It's not an either/or scenario. Congress has the power to do more than one thing at a time when they're so inclined.

I was under the impression that outside sales falls under the exempt category. Or is it still a requirement for the base salary to be above the threshold as well?
Outside sales employees are exempt but to fall under the exemption, they have to work outside the office. Basically they need to be out in the field doing sales, not at a desk.
As to the OPs question, not enough info to know whether the employees are exempt but if not, comp time is not a substitute for OT pay. -
Doesn’t seem like anyone is going to make it this year. Perhaps not anyone next year either unless a bunch of voters are waiting for the 10th year to let in Bonds/Clemens/Schilling. I think you’ll have enough anti PED/DH vote that Big Papi won’t be first ballot.

Lots of us loved to "hate" him, but deep down we really didn't. RIP.
Nah, I really did. Anyone who treats his son like he did can fuck right off. -
How do they assign schools to Divisions? I thought higher enrollment schools were D1?
Of the four teams to make the playoffs from each district, the larger two go Division 1. But there are districts where the smaller schools are larger than all or most of the schools in other districts.- 1

Lowering the voting age to 16? Why not?

The voting age should be pinned to the age at which someone can be criminally tried as an adult. If you’re old enough to be fully responsible for your actions, you’re certainly old enough to vote.
