Geez. They will get a hold of the rights within a year or two and broadcast the games. You won't be joining the SEC until tht issue is resolved, and it will be soon. I just can't comprehend why you guys are trying so hard to find a way around a contract buy-out.

because thats what everyone fucking does.  Why do you think that any time there are contracts like this people do everything possible to find an out?

I can't see Disney wanting the GOR challenged in court.  The GOR has been a good tool to protect the stability of the media side's inventory slate.  If it gets challenged successfully, then maybe that comes back to bite them in one of their other deals or at some point in the future.

The best outcome is a mutually acceptable settlement.  If they get that, then the GOR continues to have teeth for other leagues and other deals.

GOR being challenged in court could end up being anarchy in cfb

A state school athletic department refusing to pay out a contract and claiming sovereign immunity so that it doesn't even have to defend that action in court is an entirely different situation than a state school athletic department refusing to pay out a contract and claiming sovereign immunity so that it doesn't even have to defend that action in court? You sure about that?

in addition, none of those schools that left the conference signed the GOR. its an entirely different scenario now

against an individual that it fired for cause. not voiding a contract for reasons that endanger other state institutions. im absolutely sure that its not the same.
