Alrighty... that was creepy and not funny at all.
Who wants to see Pedro Pascal as an over-protective Hispanic mom?

Possibly a stupid question, but I’m curious why TSMC would invest in fabs in Arizona, given that semiconductor fabs require lots of water? Are there not better geographic options?
Cheap land, tax incentives and cheap electricity. Data centers, which are energy hogs, are also popping up in AZ.
The fact that Phoenix (before semiconductors) grew made little sense. I thought it was a place for snowbirds who needed healthcare, which needed infrastructure, which needed people, which needed commerce, and it just spiraled up from there.

My favorites are ones where they break. I have these two bookmarked for when I need a pick-me-up.
Have you seen the latest Ryan Gosling one?

It may have been said before, but "boneless wings" are just pussy-assed chicken goddamn nuggets and half a fucking step below dogfood. Much worse than artificial crab. Do we order fillet non mignon? Oysters Ford?
There's a Korean friend chicken place that has boneless wings. They are actually deboned wings. But they are dry AF even drenched in sauce. WNE again.

Is this your updated version of the Hackman-Caine theory?
I see nothing wrong with this. Both are great actors and I celebrate their entire catalog.

Trump Media shares fell by more than 10% on Tuesday morning after the company announced its Truth Social platform is moving to launch a live TV streaming platform.
The company said it will roll out streaming content in three phases, the first of which will introduce Truth Social’s content delivery network for streaming live TV to the app for Android, iOS and web.
Phase two will release stand-alone Truth Social streaming apps for phones, tablets and other devices, while phase three will release such apps for home television, Trump Media said.
Lol. Revenue likely stays at $4M.
Expenses will probably balloon with production infrastructure and personnel for their TV streaming platform.
Net loss will
likelybe in the 10 digit realm in 2024 Q2 reporting. -

Down 11.5% so far today, and we still have 4+ more hours of trading.
The reason for the freefall is they filed to release more shares, diluting the value of the existing shares. And guess who's going to get the majority (all?) of the new shares. The drop is is based on the application, and hasn't actually happened yet which will probably drive the stock price even lower.
More shares of shit is still shit. Market cap on March 27 was over $8B+, now it's $3.3B. Still a substantial amount, but let's see where it is when Sleepy Don is finally allowed to sell.
Speculating... do you think he'll try to sell more of his shares at once, or a portion at a time? Selling shares just send share prices down even further.

I have the kids to myself for an entire week while my wife is on a business trip to Asia.
So far I've only yelled at them once to get off their iPads and clean up. But otherwise it's been drama free.
We're in day 2 of 6. May God have mercy on our souls.

Got a text from my sister earlier asking if she could borrow my car later this month.
Me: Sorry, can't. It's a company car. Why do you need it anyway?
Her: We're going to Temecula for a wine festival. There are 6 of us going, and need a bigger car.
Me: Did you say wine festival? DEFINITELY not then.
Her: What if I get a designate driver?
Me: ...
Her: I guess my friend and her hubby can "drive". They both have Tesla Ys that they say can drive themselves.
She's a senior director at a fortune 500 company. Great at her job, but can sometimes be dumb as a rock.

If any of you have a Truth Social account, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spam it with a message along the lines of "I took some money out of my 401K and bought another 300 shares of Trump stock, who's with me?"

The Chinese version…I don’t think I can finish it, as I’m having to read a shitload of subtitles while trying to also watch what’s happening on the screen. 21 hours of this?
I have the advantage of understanding about 80% of the dialogue, but am still looking at the subtitles just so I don’t miss anything.
It’s a bit too stylized with too much CGI for my taste, but still more interesting than other stuff on Netflix and Prime right now.
I caught the cancer
in Daily Texan
Posted
My coworker, a sweet bumbling but really smart dude was diagnosed with throat cancer last year. He took some time off for treatment, came back for a few days a week, and took some more time off.
I saw him yesterday. He had lost about 20 pounds, lost all his hair, and his face was scabbed up (anyone know why?) Anyway, he told me that he's fighting the battle, but lost the war. I asked him to expound, and he told me the cancer had spread through his lungs and back, any treatment now is just so he can spend more time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
The company is planning a "Thank You" retirement party for him in June. I think he'll still be alive at that point, but who knows how long he'll be around.
