Even if this is a guess, Texas needs to stop pussy footing around and back up the fucking brink trucks.
If the BMDs don't want to pony up tell the media, "We [Texas] couldn't afford it" and then watch as it never happens again

People have tried to get involved. You have to actually build reserves for these situations ahead of time. This staff simply won’t engage consistently. I really don’t understand it because in other situations we have pulled the model off successfully (Neyor is a great example). I think the most likely explanation is they just don’t have their shit together. Sark has been told multiple times he is fucking up on this front. I just don’t see where he thinks his support is from.

  2. I like Sark. I think he’s an elite OC. We whiffed on our guy and he is who we settled for, because who else were we going to get? As far as I can tell, we chose him because we thought at least he might be able to attract elite qbs and develop them. Not bad logic, but his first season was a fucking disaster. I just don’t see any reason to think he is the guy. Our offense should be good, but even there we aren’t close to competing with a team that’s strong on the d line. There’s no quick fix there, so I’m not even worried too much about this season. We just don’t have the pieces.

I'm pretty sure he's comfortable that what they want to say is in line with what he wants them to say. There is an important distinction between running your fucking mouth and having a team structure that promotes even if you run your mouth that it's fine because it's "in bounds" by nature.

Saban would've facetimed his parents so they could watch him cut Ojomo's tongue out and eat it in front of them.

    1.) He is likely right.

2.) We just had a 5-win season and have 2 recent losses to Kansas. I'm fine with players karate kicking each other to the point of hospitalizations if it leads us to, finally, beating Iowa State.

Of course he's right. I loved what he had to say. But he's clearly not self aware enough to know he doesnt have the skins to be calling teammates out. How does that motivate anyone? I hope a guy like Bijan called him out for it and then looked at the guys Ojomo called out and told them he's right.

  5. Ojomo got caught up in the moment and he said a bunch of shit to the media he shouldnt have. I think Sark made it pretty clear Ojomo doesnt have the standing with the team to play that role. He's one rung above a JAG. Why some of you want a guy like that calling teammates out to the media is beyond me.

That being said, I dont really see how Sark giving that answer helps the situation at all. It clearly caused some issues internally, why add fuel to the fire by giving the fuckfaces in the media more fodder? Shitshow, but what else can we expect from this program?

I was just hoping for a couple of OL transfers that could help get to 9 wins and maybe play above expectations for one year and get to 10.

I think we can get to 8 wins with a legit LT transfer, Mathis, and a decent ILB. Even then, I think 7-5 is just as likely and 6-6 is on the table with some bad luck. This isnt the year, too much to fix in my opinion.

Bro fuck that. He's tired of the loser culture and dudes needing to grow the fuck up. It's nice to have confirmation that someone is trying to do something about it instead of being a bitch ass bitch.

I mean yea, I loved hearing him say that stuff. I just think its really unusual to hear a player be that candid about his teammates for a reason. Who knows, he may have been being very specific for good reason. Hearing that stuff was similar to the Bo Davis vid for me, its what you want. Was just surprising to hear it from someone currently on the team.

  8. Not sure Im a big fan of calling your teammates out by name to the media. I like what he has to say, but handle it internally. I get he was asked about specific players, but I think the criticism is way less constructive when done through the local media like that. Its great he wants to be a leader, but part of that is having your teammates back to the outside.

I love what we are doing in Louisiana. Make LSU expend resources to fight for their own guys instead of coming in state to steal some of ours. Ive always thought that a pipeline to Louisiana and Arizona would get this plane off the runway.

Our Louisiana alums are some of our best I think. They certainly have a better understanding of what we need to win from my experience.

  10. Also, there's obviously a good chance we get beyond humiliated against Bama. Saban needs to show the cfb world that we dont even belong in the same conversation with them, let alone the SEC. We already got humiliated by Arkansas last year. The perception isnt likely to improve once the season starts.

Im sure thats about the time the CDC/Patterson donor squad will be demanding PK is fired. More instability and more proof Sark doesnt have it under control. I just dont see things unfolding well recruiting wise. I really hope Im wrong.

I simply answered why you would buy stock in them. I tend to buy my stocks when cheap and I don’t think it can get much cheaper after the shitshow we saw last season.

I'm admittedly bad at analogies, but the question was meant to imply if you are a blue chip recruit, why would you buy stock in Sark when you can buy something much safer elsewhere with plenty of upside? Its just going to be tough sledding. I think people should be careful not to forget how fortunate we got with the coaching changes at the end of the last cycle. I think Arch wants to play in his offense and I think the Mannings trust him as a QB developer, but do they trust he will even be around the whole time? I certainly dont.

    Because said stock is cheap

I'm not sure how. Where's the discount? Whole point Im making is when you're a top 100 recruit, you dont have to take a chance on a situation like Sark. 5-7 and a loss to Kansas covers you in doubt and speculation. On top of that we are barely involved in the bag game. There's just too many headwinds to expect much out of recruiting right now and maybe this whole cycle. A big winning season with Ewers is the only thing I can see that can change the narrative, but even that is going to take too long for a lot of these kids. Getting ridiculous with the NIL would obviously help too but I just dont see it. That stuff should continue to progress but not in some silly way where we can just buy a class.
