Yeah this cycle is going to be different but it would have been better if he had just stayed a soft-commit that was planning on taking visits or never committed in the first place so we didn't have to go through this Notes App de-commitment thing on every recruits twitter timeline.
Fuck it, once we get a chance to play some real football it won't matter.
I’m anxious to see how the staff handles adversity...It’s been smooth sailing since they’ve got here so I want to see how they handle a bad turn..

I really wish y’all would stop with that “Tom Herman”. “We can get someone else better, we don’t need you” attitude
It’s sooo tiring 😒.
I hope Sark lives up to the “all gas no brakes” and floors it to get Evans back

That’s very rare. I can’t think of one in recent years.

Eh, his reasoning makes sense, but it also doesn't. Wasn't not having visited anywhere a reason why he was waiting originally? If so, why commit in the first place? Sounds like he's bag/clout chasing tbh. Think he still ends up here in the end.
Also, lol at the "I'm not a regular recruit." Okay, guy.
Lol hes not, let’s not try to convince ourselves we can get another him (like we did with Jaylen Waddle)
w.e let’s just hope we get him back

To many cooks in the kitchen trying to throw their weight around

Neither does football
True, but I’d be willing to bet ppl would still come out to a football game with no song rather than coming out to watch them sing a song with no football...

Looks like we want Robertson (or maybe Hutson if that goes sideways?) for that spot.
Also we don't congratulate Sooners, wtf dude?
I said congratulations to him..,I’m from SETX , so that’s the home team

I was really hoping Flood went after him, I think Texas could have got him with us needing a center but congrats to him

Well yeah. Texas can forego all donor money and still be a top 5 profitable program in the country but we wouldn't be #1 and win all those Revenue Championships, which is and seemingly has been the goal of the Athletics Department since the 80s.
Lord forbid we lose the revenue war but start winning in the field

Just now, Js1 said:
Well the problem is Texas Athletics is basically run by a junta of big time boosters.
Which just shows that people outside the program are right....Texas has a big problem of to many cooks in the kitchen just cause they have a big pocket book

I usually enjoy the game more than singing a song at the end of the game, but that's just me.
Lol same, I definitely enjoyed winning games way more

Cool. I enjoy the game too, but one of the unique qualities of college football is the tradition.
Did you ever think the song was in any way racist until this became a headline?
Honestly no, never paid it any attention. But when you know better you do better, that’s how the world works now...It’s not the University of Eyes of Texas lol, rather we change the song or not we are still going to be the University of Texas, the song does not define us.

Ricky and Earl still want it sung. The Godfather’s have spoken. Some of the coolest moments in my and many other Longhorn fans life has been singing the eyes before and after every game
Lol really?? Y’all are missing out if some of y’all’s coolest moments in a rich Texas sports history was singing a song...ijs

The longer we keep the song and the longer we bicker about it, the worse we look.
Get rid of the fucking song already (should have been done last year) and start a new tradition or school song. When we are all long and gone, this story will only be a footnote to the football national championships we will win because we dropped the song, anyway
Like others have said, there is no fucking way we keep the song in its current form. The sooner yall realize this, the sooner yall can accept it and move forward.
It’s really that easy...At the end of the day all you want is something where everyone in the end can come together and not have any uneasy feelings...It’s really not that hard, it’s just sometimes you have ones who don’t wanna change no matter who is offended

Must be a lot of new Texas fans, because I hate how scared a lot of fans are about a 23 commit...
Mack did this regularly in the early 2000’s, and had the class done before the season even started and was already on the next class...
WE NOT NEW TO THIS!!!!!!

3 year in a row Texas has signed a top RB
Sooo I need everyone who told me Drayton was the worse coach on the staff and that he should be removed to report up front

Anyone know anything about the Cy Park coaching staff? I know the principal is a Longhorn but that doesn't matter very much.
I think player recruiting is whats going to give Texas a good chance here. All the big time players in Houston are close so I do think Texas can find they’re way into this recruitment, just got to keep chipping away....
cypress has usually been a pipeline to A&M in past recruitments though
-
RJ compared him to a mixture of Waddle/Garrett Wilson, but I didn’t really see him like that.
Not saying he isn’t good but he’s more of a speed guy, unlike Waddle who’s a (Explosive run after catch) or Wilson (Who’s ball skills are 2nd to none)...
hes routes are what has me drooling though...They are just as good if not better than both of the two I mentioned at this point in their career....Reminds me more of a Stephon Diggs or Devante Adams,,,

Gerry mentioned Jonathan Gray blaming UT for his lack of a NFL career as a factor with Aledo kids and this recruitment specifically...I guess not.
Wouldn’t be surprised...I watched that 2013 team last night and man wat a waste of such a talented roster....I don’t blame him for saying that

Regarding all the safety prospects for whom we're looking good, Nick Harris just commented that this is shaping up to be a 3-4 safety class (responding to Anderson possibly being a CB with Harris' recent CB for Hullaby)
Also noted that he thinks we're in a better spot for Dewberry than Banks (not saying that we're bad for Banks, just responding to a question).
I’ve seen Anderson at CB, and that would be an excellent move for him...fast, strong and physical
