  1. Ian Gillian

Ian Gillan (born 19 August 1945) is an English singer who is best known as the lead singer and lyricist for the rock band Deep Purple. He is known for his powerful and wide-ranging singing voice.

Initially influenced by Elvis Presley, Gillan started and fronted several local bands in the mid-1960s, and eventually joined Episode Six when their original singer left. He first found widespread commercial success after joining Deep Purple in 1969. He resigned from the band in June 1973, having given a lengthy notice period to their managers. After a short time away from the music business, he resumed his music career with solo bands the Ian Gillan Band and Gillan, before a year-long stint as the vocalist for Black Sabbath in 1983. The following year, Deep Purple reformed and two more successful albums followed before he left in 1989. He returned to the group in 1993, and has remained its lead singer ever since.

In addition to his main work—performing with Deep Purple and other bands during the 1970s and 1980s—he sang the role of Jesus in the original recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar (1970),[1]

ESPN and Fox are lowballing the PAC to kill it.

4C schools' value is that they are the dominos that need to fall to kill the PAC, and bring enough "After Dark" inventory for the B12 to now be the late-night conference.  Once they're in the B12, it also forces UW/UO to the B12 if the BIG says "Thanks bu no thanks".

I thought there were tweets that said that Fox would only go to 16 in the Big 12 if they were OR and WA?  ESPN would go to 16 as long as they were P5 adds.

I know, I know, the kids love alternate uniforms...

I get it if a school like Purdue or Wisconsin feels the need to go to alternate uniforms, but it's stupid for an established top tier program.

Texas, Alabama and Southern California have kept their dignity, although I was worried about Texas when they put the sparkly Longhorn on the side for a while.

Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oklahoma should hang their heads in shame. Especially Oklahoma, cause their alternate cream helmet with the red stripe down the center makes them look like Nebraska. Course, they're Oklahoma, so they should hang their heads in shame, anyway.

In 2006, the team wore a commemorative jersey in the game against Ole Miss to honor the 25th anniversary of Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant’s 315th win. The jersey also featured houndstooth trim around the collar. It marked the 11th time the Crimson Tide wore a commemorative jersey or helmet during a game.

Eventually, one or more universities are going to say, "we could lose up to $100 million or more from these Grant of Rights documents. OR ... we can approach a Billy BadAss law firm and say, "Here you go boys.  Here's a $5 million flat fee. Go git 'em." And GORs are looked at through the lens of sovereign immunity, lack of consideration, the conferences themselves are in essence, non-entities since revenue is passed on to the schools, the GOR is not a bilateral contract and/or is an improper assignment.

If and when that happens, in terms of college football, that could do away with 'formal conferences' completely and the universities in essence form a Board of Directors negotiating separately with television, steaming and whatever the next iteration is providers.

I enjoy a good restaurant but not a pretentious one.  I despise that in any context.

My favorite restaurant is The Slogar in Crested Butte, CO.  They bring out a plate of deliciously fried chicken, a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and a plate of biscuits and you go to town, family style.  Ice cream for dessert.  Heaven.

While all the little unknown places can be cool, some of our national parks are there for a reason and you’ll have time to explore them.

I’d certainly spend time at Mount St Helen’s, Yellowstone, Yosemite. Big Sur, western Colorado, and park it and go to the San Juan islands. You can also explore Canada and Alaska.

I don’t know what everything is running right now but just resigned this week at 8.8.    Dude has been solid and I missed the whole rate raise over the last year or whatever.  Wonder what this months bill will be between the ACs and pool running like crazy.
