he's done a little more than just practice in the fall.  He was on the 35 man roster all last year and went to Omaha.  He basically caught every bullpen session for the team last year.  Very good defensive catcher for sure.

I think he was a red shirt last year.

I remember Caston playing third at Stratford a few times.  Not sure he’s ever played first. Zubia looks like a textbook first basemen except for being right handed.

I would put Caston at catcher and get him the reps as he is the only returning catcher next year.

Zubia is a DH for a reason.

.251 team batting average and 56 xbh in 28 games. Not good.

I am not going to do the math but I bet backing out TSU and another couple games and the stats become absolutely putrid

Batting .239 in 6 conference games with 6 xbh.

I have plenty of friends that were in cowboys.  I was in a similar male organization during my time at UT and looking back I'm not sure why I put up with 13 weeks of sleep deprivation, throwing up from workouts my body was not trained for multiple times a week, and letting dumbasses yell/berate me constantly.  The stupid shit a 17 year old will do.  My gpa tanked that semester.  If your initiation results in 2 students dying, then you should be kicked out permanently.  Can't remember which organization it was but someone had to eat shit.  Why?

    Texas Wranglers?

OU/OK St just an exhibition,  doesn't count in conference.    They have a regular weekend series later.

Incarnate Word did beat A&M 6-5 in February -  but did so with one of their 3 main starters.    Pitcher tonight making his first start this year.    Per stats,  they seem to have a good hitting team (.311).    Patrick Hallmark,  their coach,  was asst at Rice with Pierce.

He was the hitting coach at Rice when Pierce was there.  Pierce handled the pitchers.

kennedy has great range and a great arm, he’s just made some freshman mistakes. I’m not even sure I’d say he’s a minus fielder when you add up his great plays against bad plays, but his bat warrants him in the lineup even with his fielding mistakes.

His dad is a nebraska alum from Omaha and he sent his 3 sons to Texas.  That guy must hate the huskers

Fields didn't record a single out tonight. Maybe starting from the windup with a clean inning would have helped but Fields simply didn't have his stuff tonight.

Even if Fields started with a clean inning he probably struggles tonight because he wasn't commanding anything.

Seems like Fields pitches better at the Dish
