  1. So was he ok at guard or good? First you said good now hedging.

And again... this team had massive holes at TE/Receiver/and Safety that needed to be addressed and they felt so poorly about the prospect of putting Green at guard now that Cooper is gone that they elected to address that position over all of them. That says all that needs to be said.

Now go get me some butt fucking blueberries.

  2. Green was so good at guard they just used a 2nd round pick to replace him when all of their TE combined have 9 total receptions, their starting safeties are Jeff Heath and a 2nd year 6th round draft pick, and their best receiver was a guy who just got cut by Jacksonville.

MOST GRAVE. Not any number of wars over the last 200 years. Not the Cuban Missile Crisis. Not the Great Depression.

No, the fact that we have a repugnant bozo as CIC is the MOST grave national moment.

    You guys are funny.

What do you think led to those moments? A combination of greed, incompetence, and complete disregard for public good.

Those things are present in spades in this admin and it's only a matter of time until more grave or catastrophic moments hit if things aren't changed.

Brooks on Tax Bill: Seems Like ‘What the Trump People Told Us Would Happen Is Happening’

Fiction is nice, it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy, but the truth unfortunately is what ends up kicking us in the face.

Stock buy backs are at or nearing record levels. Companies are taking that saved tax money and... Using it to satisfy sharehold obligations and initiate massive buy backs. Taking care of the rich and screwing the middle class while racking up record deficits in the process.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/471188002

Apple was nice enough to use $100 billion of what should have been tax money for us all to help themselves and their fat cat investors get richer.

Wage growth? Not so much. Here, we'll just throw a few peanuts to the peasants just so we can say we gave something. 1 for the middle class... 1 trillion for me.

In the case of Candace Owens, Trump/Republicans didn't start paying her to talk a certain way.  As a young, presentable, and educated African-American woman, she correctly predicted if she spewed anti-Black Lives Matter, anti-Ferguson, and "liberals are the real racists" rhetoric that there would be an audience for it.  So she started a YouTube channel, went on InfoWars, got hired by Charlie Kirk, and boom. She's now pulling Kanye's strings and hanging out with Don Jr.

Her YouTube name is "Red Pill Black", as she quickly, conveniently, and magically turned from liberal to "conservative" right around the time Trumpism was in full bloom. She speaks exactly like an old, white Trumpkin.  I'm telling you, she is gonna become a big deal for the Trump campaign. Investigative journalists need to do their homework on this woman.

The point being she is being compensated and is gaining reward to be traitorous towards her own people because republicans are all too thirsty for whatever can rationalize their racism.

I'd also not get too happy about the NK situation. It's funny how as soon as Kim noticed a crack in the formerly iron clad bond between the US and SK he all of a sudden became very willing to talk... To SK. He's seeing a US president who is crass and unlikable and will blow up at the drop of a hat. A very good opportunity to curry favor with the international community (and possibly reduce sanctions) without having to give up his nuclear ambitions. If he can manuever into that crack between the US and SK then it positions the US in a spot where anything they do to try to maintain influence in the region will look like they are the bad guys keeping Koreans from uniting.

Kim's actions are simple political maneuvering. He's working the influence of the US out of his region and people like China are all too happy to let him do it. It also doesn't do anything to make the world or US safer as Kim will still be working towards a nuclear arsenal and still be as batshit crazy as ever.

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/north-korea-says-us-ruining-mood-detente-ahead-041335858.html

Kim: why are you violent Americans continuing to try to butt in and take credit for our willingness to talk to our Korean brothers? See... all America wants is power and war. They can't even let us find peace without butting in.

    And so it begins.

  8. No shit. In Obama's first 100 days he inhereted a neocon made shit storm of economic ruin, a major pay off to keep crooked banks for collapsing after they caused the crisis, and his leadership and policies managed to get the crisis to level off enough to start an economic turn around.

In Trump's first 100 days he did nothing but sabotage healthcare, lie constantly, play golf at his own resort every weekend putting millions in tax payer money into his own pocket, threated nuclear war with NK, and oh that little matter of obstructing the criminal investigation of his homey (and maybe himself) by firing the FBI director after said director refused to conspire with Trump to sweep illegal actions under the rug.

In a righteous society the coverage should have been 90 percent favorable to Obama and 100 percent negative to trump. Those are polar opposite beginnings to administrations.

Don't forget Candace Owens. I actually think she will be the biggest beneficiary out of this hustle and is currently being groomed to be a weapon for Trump in 2020. She's already hanging out with Don Jr. and there are alt-righters calling for her to be a part of the Trump administration.

How insane that republicans are so inherently racist and are self aware of their racism to the point they will actually pay off black people to sell out their own people just so republicans can feel better about themselves. Rationalization becomes easier if you rig up situations to pay minorities to tell you that you aren't racist.

    What a country

It's become a hustle for some black conservatives (I don't even think these two are conservatives, they're like a parody) to co-sign right wing or alt-right/white supremacist rhetoric. That's why you have these two, Paris Dennard, Jesse Lee Peterson, Sheriff Clarke etc  popping out of the woodwork.

Jesus Hayyyyyyyyzeus Christos. Those two might as well be white girls in black face. Hope that money is worth selling yourself to people who hate you because of the color of your skin.

I thought you people might have learned your lesson about the polls in 2016. Evidently not.

Yeah I seriously doubt America is smart enough to learn it's lesson. Americans don't even look at the surface, they just let other people tell them what to think or believe. It doesn't help that probably 99% of Americans are completely ignorant of how things like inflation work or how fiscal policy of constantly running huge deficits will impact it in the near future.

Yeah, this is bullshit. His production had seriously declined but he was a great locker room guy and decent enough in the run game. He was still good for 50 catches this year, which is pretty good production from a TE.

Can't blame him for the move, though. I still don't see it -- him as a compelling color guy, I mean. His weekly BaD Radio show is an immediate punchout every time.

The guy was still playing virtually every offensive snap in the season so of course his raw numbers were going to look servicable. He wasnt getting any YAC though and most of his receptions were underneath and didnt do any damage.

Last season Garrett should have met with him before the season and told him he was going to get more bench time so the offense could incorporate more spread concepts. They had just drafted Switzer and had the personnel to go 4 receiver and no TE to force defenses to remove the extra LB from the box and sub a DB to cover Switzer. That gives an offensive line known for elite individual talent the ability to go against a light box and open holes for Zeke or whoever replaced him.

I dont know if it was Garrett or Jerry who fucked that up but it should have happened but didn't. Witten, for as great as his career has been, was a major reason for the predictability of the Cowboys offense.

I just finished All or Nothing. I cannot stand the Jones clan. Except maybe for Charlotte......

Watched episode 1, some things stood out:

    1) Dez going to Jerry's Hof party dressed like Shaft while everyone else wears suits was hilarious.

    2) every team meeting with Garrett addressing the team had at least half if not 3/4 of the team sitting in the back 4 rows while the front half of seating was mostly empty. How Garrett puts up with that shit is infuriating.

    3) Why the fuck is Charlotte addressing the team?

    4) bigger why the fuck is Jerry addressing the team after the Denver loss? Completely undercutting the coach's authority.

    5) Garrett is one goofy fuck but I feel bad for him. That organization is completely dysfunctional.

    6) what was Dez going on about with the receiver coach in film? He wants film to be all rah rah you guys are the best bullshit? Film is for analyzing and preparing, obviously things Dez never cared to do. And people wonder why he wore out his welcome when he stopped producing.

I don't have a problem with moving Switzer. I don't have a problem with moving a 6th round pick. I have a problem of getting virtually zero in return for assets that could have been used to move up slightly to take need players at various points in the draft. The Cowboys continue to get the least value out of their draft currency. They talk about how all of these compensatory picks give them so much flexibility to move around, but instead they just waste them.

Twice in this draft they gave away assets in order to dispose of some other teams garbage, and pay extra salary for them in the process.

Exactly. It's not the trade itself that looks bad. It's the fact you gave up a 2017 4th rounder and a 2018 6th rounder for one year of a guy you nailed to the bench, a bust ass tiny receiver who fumbles a lot you say you actually want to use as a RB (lulz), and a bust ass DT who you're hoping a change of scenery causes to not be practically worthless.

    Bad use of assets.

  15. Send ted cruz back to congress then bomb the capitol building while theyre all in there.

Seriously, after seeing the inner workings of a few parts of our government the best thing long term is complete political cleansing.

They see what the player can do all week long.  We the fans are the only ones who don't know, and that's why fans make statements like that. But the coaches know. I'm telling you, no coaching staff in the NFL is going to give the kid a try if he isn't performing in practice.

This isnt 1989 anymore. They have severe limitations on practice duration and intensity under the CBA and this is especially true during the season when you have basically nothing but glorified walkthroughs and 7 on 7 in shells and helmets. In this new era you have to see what a guy can do on the field in games before you give up on him.

I think it's probably true Garrett and Linehan never wanted him and didn't like the pick on draft day and were set on it from the start.
