  1. "I was recently traveling in the Normandy region of France" "Mind you, I knew no one in France." Definitely aggy. Probably an English Comp major. With a minor in French. They produce lots of those at A&M. Either that, or he was in France as a door-to-door salesman and didn't know a word of French, and the old man in the bar spoke fluent English. Not sure what the "details" were.
  2. This showed up in my Twitter DMs one day. I had never had any interaction with Liucci before in my life. He just pops up out of nowhere, leaves this pithy little love note and blocks me. A petulant little fart of a man, whose small intellect leads him to great frustration when he is forced to admit to himself he isn't smart enough to figure the difference between fairly tales and reality without some smarter walking him through the thought process step by step.
  3. We have a new entry in the "aggy fairy tale of the year" contest. First of all, I'm not recalling any references pointing us to the context of U.S. Army officers being housed en masse with local french families. The story starts to fall apart right there. My memory of American military activities in Normandy during WWII was moving out of there toward first Paris, then Berlin asap. Maybe the Army left aggys behind the lines while the rest of the forces moved forward. regardless, I'm calling bullshit on this. For obvious reasons: "This was posted many years ago and I have searched to no avail. I am going to try and repost from memory in hopes that someone will remember or be able to find the original. As stated, this was many years ago so the details will undoubtedly be flawed, but the story itself is exactly as I remember it: TA Poster: I was recently traveling in the Normandy region of France when something amazing happened to me. I had stopped in at a local bar in the small town of ____ and was having a beer when I noticed an older gentleman a few seats away staring at me. At first, I thought nothing of it, but as it continued, I had to ask if we knew each other. Mind you, I knew no one in France. He said "No" but with a tear in his eye, and now rolling down his cheek, he asked if he could tell me a story. Of course I said yes and here is what he said: "When I was a young boy, our small town, like all of France, was occupied by Nazi soldiers. All of the younger men were gone to fight and so there were only women, us kids, and elderly men. This was a brutal time and the Nazis took whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted and everyone lived in constant fear of being killed, even us kids. Finally the Americans liberated France and the Nazis puled out and the U.S. Army moved in. They announced that their officers would be moving in with the various families in our village. While we were very glad to have the Nazis gone, we were unsure what to think after our recent experiences. A young American officer moved in with my Mother, Grandfather and I and it was unforgettable. He was a true gentleman, respectful of our home, and most of all he was very kind to me. Even though he was only there for a few weeks, he was the greatest hero I had ever known and I idolized him for that. This ring you are wearing (my Aggie ring) is the same ring he wore. I had never seen it before and I have never seen it since until you walked in and sat at the bar today. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory from a terrible time." 4. Not so fast my friend. There are African-American students proudly attending Texas A&M.
  5. When their own school paper complains about classrooms smelling of urine, I would think most people aren’t a good fit for the school. I know.... “Don’t care, got Jimbo.”
  6. Here is aggy's NCAA report for 2019-2020. The earlier financial report I posted was from the Dept of Education database. As you can see, the NCAA report is far more detailed and helps understand "unallocated" revenues and expenses. A&M's auditors are PwC. What is interesting is the level of expenses A&M (and almost every other major program) was able to reduce in the Covid affected year. aggy vaporized about $15 mil in expenses in one year, so you get a sense of the bloat that is in the program. 7. “Hey @tamu why are we consolidating colleges and cutting library hours and funding to “cut costs” while announcing $200M on this an hour ago ?” “A&M consistently ranks in the top five colleges with the highest number of students on campus in the U.S. In the fall, we had a record73,000 students enrolled at our prestigious alma mater. Left trembling from their chronic caffeine cravings, these brave 73,000 stumble, bleary-eyed, through the shadows of brutalist architecture that looks more like The Ministry of Truth than an inviting learning environment. Buildings like Heldenfelds — orRoom 101 to keep up the comparison — are permeated by a profound sense of disquiet and the smell of urine for some reason. At times, it seems every room is designed by some unknowable regulation to be a game of Russian roulette. Will the plastic back rest of your seat suddenly give way after a loud snap nearly sends you backward into your classmate’s lap? Or will you suddenly notice that somehow, something ripped the flip desk right off its metal hinges? It’s impossible to say, but there is about a one-in-three chance of either one happening.“ https://www.thebatt.com/opinion/when-in-rome/article_468f7460-ca65-11ec-a57a-17db744286d5.html
  8. aggy athletics revenues for the Sept 1 2020- Aug 31 2021 fiscal year were $136.8 mil. If you remember a few years ago, they were claiming just over $200 mil (U.S., not redneck dollars). Source: https://ope.ed.gov/athletics/#/
  9. Redneck accounting strikes again. Liucci announces $170 million (redneck dollars) in funding already secured. Evidently $170 million in redneck dollars equates to $88 million in U.S. dollars at current exchange rates.
  10. Let's look at the quality of individuals they are recruiting at the moment. These "fine gentlemen" are the sharpest they can currently recruit. Moving forward, the decision has been made to prioritize quantity over quality. In short, they will be forced to take any kid with a pulse if they want to increase their fake army costume fraternity by 50%. Intelligent people don't participate in aggy fairy tale stupidity. aggys participate in aggy fairy tale stupidity. The kids they will bring in to bloat the size of their kiddie corps will be cringeworthy. They won't be academically prepared and they won't be able to gain any appreciable academic benefits. But they will put on their costumes and prance around as displays of "aggy greatness." This is all being driven by The Rudder Association, whose members hide in the shadows, insisting their white supremacist views be given greater prominence throughout aggy culture. The increase in enrollment of the aggy Corps won't be women, won't be minorities, and won't be international students. They will be "proper aggys". The people of Texas deserve better than Texas A&M.
  11. The aggy experience is striving to be as similar to everyone else as possible. They have no clue the truly interesting people are those who we have little in common with. When aggys die, they experience a moment of total consciousness when they realize their life experience is nothing like that of most other people. I'm glad I got to experience total consciousness the first time I walked on to the UT campus. Actually, I experienced total consciousness when a certain alumnus explained at UT they don't give a shit if you want to donate your royalty check, they will only return your phone call if you are willing to donate the entire well.
  12. I have to laugh when people say Texas A&M is a difficult school to get accepted into and academically challenging for those admitted. A&M is difficult for aggys, not for intelligent individuals. Then again, aggys believe it is difficult to determine whether or not Sul Ross was a white supremacist.
  13. Coldplay at the Cotton Bowl last Friday. The new mgmt group running Fair Park is coming out the gate strong, looking to use the stadium more than one weekend a year.
  14. Cue “Don’t care, got Jimbo” in 3...2...1... aggy athletics has its own Larry Nassar sexual assault scandal. Color me shocked that this shit goes on at a place where women aren’t even considered worthy of being cheerleaders at their football games. Former Texas A&M team physician arrested on two cases of sexual assault https://www.houstonchronicle.com/texas-sports-nation/college/article/Former-Texas-A-M-team-physician-arrested-on-two-17152426.php?utm_campaign=CMS Sharing Tools (Premium)&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
  15. "If the NCAA wants to take away a 9-4 season and my Chick-Fil-A bowl win against Duke, they fucking can blow me." The video is some redneck rehashing well worn info. The comments, as usual, are the interesting part. This is the first time I have ever seen people actually get the contradiction of the fairy tale that Manziel came from limitless wealth while he claims he did all the underhanded stuff because he was flat broke. Mama was a barmaid and daddy sold used cars in small town Texas because they were eccentric multi-millionaires!? Yea, right. aggys will believe pretty much any fairy tale you tell them.
  16. I'm sure aggy will claim its a "military tradition." "Navy Officer Held for Allegedly Forcing Recruits to Drink Semen With Fish Sauce" https://www.vice.com/en/article/epx3ew/thailand-sexual-abuse-military
  17. How can the administrators of A&M and/or the state legislators who support and promote this as "leadership development" expect the people of Texas to support this organization and hold these individuals in any sort of esteem? These are not members of an "elite military cadre." They are not representatives of a world class military institution. They are redneck goons who are indulged by The Rudder Association and other similar blatantly racist elements of Texas society and Texas state government who are being culturally indoctrinated into a thoroughly discredited set of beliefs. These idiots are fed "whitewashed" fairy tales under the guise of education, they are taught to worship the man who lead the movement to bring Jim Crow laws to Texas, and provided with a subpar trade school education in exchange for their willingness to constitute the next generation of membership in the supporting organizations. The Corps at Texas A&M is an embarrassment to the people of Texas. It needs to be dissolved and the groups that support it, such as The Rudder Association, need to be exposed for what they are - a cancer on the culture of our state and our nation.
  18. Hush your mouth. These individuals represent the best and brightest of aggy culture. These individuals represent “aggy exceptionalism.” They are the “keepers of the spirit.”
  19. The DC Metro is about to be annexed by Aggie Nation again.
  20. If those guys are examples of "what the aggy Corps has to offer," just imagine how much further they are going to have to lower their "standards" to get a 50% increase in membership.
  21. For those who insist the aggy Corps is an actual military organization and not a civilian fraternity filled with low IQ children afflicted with low self esteem. Oh, and the good news? A&M is launching an initiative to raise enrollment in the aggy Corps by 50%. "The Corps already received and is reviewing work done by a cadet-led retention task force. They are also working with an advertising agency to launch a marketing campaign this summer aimed at increasing awareness about what the Corps has to offer."
  22. In the past thirty years, the economy of Bryan/College Station has added approximately new 60,000 jobs. In that same time, median household income for Brazos County rose from $24k/yr to $55k/yr. Factoring in inflation, in the past thirty years median household incomes in Brazos County have not increased at all. For the state of Texas over this time period, real incomes have increased about 25%. In the past thirty years, Austin has added almost one million new jobs (adding more jobs in just the past twenty four months than Brazos County has added in the past three decades). In that same time, median household income for Travis County rose from $27k/yr to $82k/yr. Factoring in inflation, in the past thirty years median household incomes in Travis County have increased 40%. The technical term economists use to describe "aggyland" is "shithole." Over the past three decades, people of "aggyland" have struggled just to keep pace with inflation and have seen zero increase in their standard of living. The technological boom of the past three decades has revolutionized our society, our economy, and has created immense wealth. The technological boom of the past three decades has also completely passed Brazos County, Texas completely by. How do you think that sets up Brazos County for the next thirty years? Brazos County simply lacks the intellectual capital to attract high wage businesses in a technologically advanced economy. The aggys love to bleat about "the aggy network." The reality is that "network" fails to offer its members any economic value. Where aggys are found in the highest concentrations, as a whole they largely struggle to keep pace with inflation and over their lives they fail to realize any meaningful increase in their standard of living. Over the past thirty years, the overall plan of Texas A&M as an institution has failed the aggys as a whole and the people of Texas. It simply isn't working. The aggy leadership of the past three decades has been an utter failure. The people of Texas deserve better than Texas A&M.
  23. John Sharp has just announced Texas A&M will provide the Ukrainian military with silly costumes, fairy tales, "band masks," and a large supply of Mason jars. Said Sharp, "Texas A&M supplied more Mason jars to the U.S. military during WWII than West Point and Annapolis combined." God bless you aggy. I am sure your "military training" will be of as much value in this conflict as it has been in conflicts of the past.
  24. 2021 marked the year the most recent Texas Longhorn baseball pitcher to win a CWS game (Ty Madden) became old enough to legally drink. It also marked the year the most recent Texas A&M pitcher to win a CWS game (Jeff Granger) became old enough for membership in AARP.
