So let me state more clearly.
ÂThe prevailing sentiment here is that it was always going to be something like this. Not much could’ve been done to change the outcome.Â
ÂSo let me ask why then were we so surprised by this? Specifically POTUS. Why were these contingencies clearly not planned for if they were inevitable?Â
ÂWas it inevitable that we essentially hand over a target list to the Taliban of people we value?

No. We still need one more player.Â

Care to point out the plurality of posts on this board that say biden did a good job? Because I don't see anyone saying it worked out all nice and cleanly - but don't let me get in the way of your unsourced and uncited lies.
Plenty of posts here saying it couldn’t have been done better. It was always going to end like this. Or some variation thereof. Really?

the evidence you presented does not support your assertion. nice try, though, I think. gold star for effort. you can have your pudding now.
It’s mostly just the most hardcore loyalists supporting this as job well done. They happen to just overwhelmingly reside in places like CR.Â

The one upside to this fiasco is we can finally dispense with the notion thrown about here that CR is somehow moderate. Much water being carried here for this fiasco.

Positive negs are good, but I can work around the negs
My previous handle had plenty of rep that was whittled down over months and months by an unstable, yet persistent CR poster. I’m just a regular guy who enjoys fantasy football.Â

So there is a gift tax and an inheritance tax, but how does the tax man deal with families passing wealth from one generation to the next via crypto? It seems that they would be able to bypass these taxes…
If you had non KYC’d crypto then theoretically yes. That doesn’t really bug me obviously. It’s almost like passing down an expensive collection precious metals or jewelry. It’s also a lot harder to do today than you might think given the rhetoric surrounding crypto.Â

No. Never heard of that. What’s that? Please enlighten us with more wisdom.
Are you familiar with the concept of astroturfing where a troll gets paid to go around and spread propaganda on the internet for various purposes?
My point was you still research treatments because even if the whole country is vaccinated then some people will still get sick. That’s not “propaganda”.Â

No, but I'm worried about my mom who is likely to end up in the hospital because she can't get vaccinated. So go fuck yourself with Carl's big black dick. My son will be fine
If she’s positive get her monoclonal antibodies stat

This one is interesting. There are more trials ongoing in US at the moment.Â
The cost benefit analysis would definitely favor this one. I think i saw it quoted as $4 for 10 day course with pretty well established side effect profile.Â

these are the best treatment results that I can think of in a randomized, blinded trial. Small sample size by 70% reduction in hospitalizations and deaths. All patients over 60. Will be expensive therapy though I’m sure.Â
ÂThe other decent one in randomized, blinded trial was OCD Med Luvox. 10 day course resulted in 30% less hospitalizations. Small sample again though.Â

I have a firewall but something doesn’t add up about this story. If a patient truly needs ICU care and there’s no room in formal icu then they would stay in the ER and receive treatment. It’s possible and occasionally happens. For as long necessary until a transfer to either the icu or another facility. If you decide to leave on your own you’re doing so AMA.Â

When I posted my question I was just reading about this.
I have a ledger and will be working through loading it this weekend.
Questions:
1. couldn’t the ledger thumb drive potentially fail? Is there a way to retrieve if so?
2. Do any banks let you park and insure crypto?
Appreciate y’all’s expertise in this space.
Â
Just want to make sure you didn’t buy the ledger second hand. If so they can have malware that can compromise your private keys. I bought directly from Ledger.Â

1- you’ll see when you do the setup, but the vital part of your setup will be recording the seed phrase and storing it somewhere very secure. Do not write it down on your notes in your iPhone or computer. Hard copy somewhere secure. If you lose your ledger or it craps out you can buy a new one and enter your seed phrase and it will all be pulled up on the new device.Â
Â2- Banks are starting to dip into it. Currently just high net worth clients. They offer access and the company NYDIG handles the custody seamlessly (to the clients) on the back end.Â
ÂThis is just from today.Â
Eventually the same setup will be with smaller, local banks and customers.Â
ÂÂ
Sorry for the deluge of links, but it’s coming down the pipe.
