I don’t get it. What does Black Rock becoming a mining investor have to do with bitcoin being eco-friendly?
BlackRock has been one of the biggest drivers of ESG of which the E is environmental.

Yep keeping an eye out today. Also know that she didn’t get sick at all last year(colds, etc) bc she was doing virtual learning, so it’s likely just a small thing. Hope for the best and plan for the worst I suppose.
Both my 7 and 3 year olds were just tired one day. Not a sniffle or cough the rest of the time. That’s also what I’ve heard from other families that have had it go through their houses.
Older kids are a bit different. They can get like a cold and also lose taste etc.

My 5th grade daughter in Dripping Springs said 6 students had masks on in her class of 27 (her being one of those 6). Said it started out as more on Day 1 but slowly decreased throughout the week.
My school district is more in line with this one than most comments on this thread. We haven’t started yet but at meet the teacher night last week I’d say conservatively that it was 95% unmasked between all participants. I suppose we’re the control group.

fuck all this bullshit. At least she had a great week of school and has been very good about masking up.
fingers crossed I guess.
on the positive side it’s unlikely it’s covid. Kids that age typically have fatigue, lack of appetite as obvious symptoms. Maybe fever. Cough less likely.

Yeah and Ossai is still a surefire first-rounder. Surly is incredibly consistent when it comes to overrating our player's draft prospects, going back to the infamous Jeffcoat thread on the Shag.
Realistically, Overshown is probably drafted outside the first three rounds unless something amazing happens. Many LBs are ahead of him this year.
Unfortunately I’m team Satya here. Ossai was overhyped
I think Overshown is maybe a 3rd rounder. There’s a lot of talk about his elite testing potential but I haven’t seen any old numbers to verify that. He’s pretty explosive but not the athletic freak you need to be to get drafted super high with limited great tape. It’s just true.

They probably feel safe because they have pretty strong KYC systems in place already.
Some of the proposed or rumored regs would put onerous requirements on users or validators of these defi protocols. Basically making them unusable for US residents. I see Coinbase purchases as suggestion that those threats are overblown.

This Coinbase news is pretty bullish stuff.

“This means we will become the first publicly traded company to hold Ethereum, Proof of Stake assets, DeFi tokens, and many other crypto assets supported for trading on our platform, in addition to Bitcoin, on our balance sheet.”
It’s interesting to me that they are going to buy Defi tokens specifically. Those are the kind of tokens most in the crosshairs of the infrastructure bill and Treasury regulations. The CEO has met with Powell and Yellen before and has a big presence. If they feel it’s safe to hold those they must feel the regulatory thread is not as big as most.
Also, their net income last Q was $1.6B. So 10% of that going forward is going to be fed into markets.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion

It seems clear that Moderna is the most effective vaccine, but also has more side effects (although still low amounts). It’s more effective against Delta but appears to have more myocarditis associated with it.
