Without question. I’m almost 40. We’ve been in the SEC the majority of my life. Hard to explain but the fan base just can’t gin up the hate for LSU or Ole Miss like they do for Texas. If I have to hear about the 1969 shootout one more time…
I promise you, the overwhelming majority of fans are beyond excited to be playing UT yearly again.
As hill jack as we are, we can still walk and chew gum at the same time.
And crazy thing is, it doesn’t matter what I’m concerned about. I don’t play. But I do eat bbq on occasion.
You Texans put slaw on your BBQ?
Pissed me off something fierce when I went to my first BBQ restaurant here in Carolina and there was slaw on my pulled pork
@Lowcountry Hogis the front runner for President of Arkansas right now.
While flattered, I cannot accept the nomination. I’ve relocated from southwest Arkansas and the unfortunate chance I might run into a Texan or Louisianan at the lake, to the coast of South Carolina to enjoy shrimp and grits, palmetto trees and marsh living, only to trade in the Texan and Louisianan for the much worse stench of the Ohioan. These people are truly the scum of the earth.
If by “wiped that game from their collective memory” you mean “drank into a stupor only to wake up and use more black tar than Layne Staley in an effort to forget that game” you’d be correct.
I look forward to a time when this matchup would’ve garnered a Gameday visit instead of game in flyover country.
Here is to hoping our programs are there in short order.
SEC speed. Duh. You’ll magically get it when you’ve officially been Baptized by Finebaum and let in with the cool kids.
All honesty, if we win it’ll be because it means more to us than y’all. It sure won’t be because we are more talented. Hiring Bert then Aggy Chad did a number on our program.
