Maybe this is behind this little dip. Seeing rumblings about sec and Eth specifically.
If Ethereum was found to be an unregistered securities offering then that could be devastating. I thought had already ruled it wasn’t, but maybe I’m mistaken. I don’t feel like looking it up now.

I say this as someone who has voted Republican as often as Democrat in the past. Republicans are a dying species. The ones that are left are fucking lunatics. The decent ones are retiring from office. There is no one coming up through the ranks to replace those decent ones
Ted Cruz is the definition of intelligent and educated, he’s just a lizard politician with unpopular views here.

This is a cool podcast from Jordan Peterson with Safidean Ammous. He’s a bit more bitcoin maximalist than me, but they go in depth on the economics and philosophy behind bitcoin.
The point that utilizing/saving in hard money lengthening your time preference really resonates with me. Higher inflation and easy money makes you a more short term thinker. I also like the part at about 1:18:45 where the lightbulb goes off for Jordan on the potential long term implications of widespread bitcoin mining.

Let me know when leftists try to violently prevent the transition of power. It’s unbelievable how fucking stupid you are.
I guess the Chinese activist/artist who has actually experienced authoritarianism and the Cultural Revolution is stupid too for even suggesting it?

On this particular matter, fascism typically doesn't coopt the existing administrative state. Fascists will do whatever works, but taking over existing institutions is usually a pain in the ass, so they typically sideline them and create their own parallel institutions. The SS is one example.
Disinformation?
Hitler purged plenty.
And Trump was never creating parallel institutions to take over anything.

It’s there a way on coinbase to see what your cost basis/investment is? All I see is current value and that’s not super helpful.
Your transaction history will show the exact price you bought in

Is this the same person who doesn't like personal bank accounts?
No that’s the literal communist that was nominated to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Her latest thing is she wants oil and gas companies to go bankrupt, but I digress.

There are a number of former Republicans that are now Democrats on this board. Myself included.
I can think of only one D who is thinking of switching parties, and that person is Joe Manchin, and coincidentally is a big, slimy bitch.
Not sure how slimy of a bitch this guy is

Wasn’t sure where else to put this, but all the CR talk about Trump being an authoritarian or fascist was always fear mongering. The administrative state was never there to carry out anything he could’ve wanted outside the usual Constitutional channels. As this man notes, authoritarianism far more likely to arise from the left and in some ways is already here. It wasn’t where the interviewer expected the question to go.

So is this going to be done today? I wonder what the nomad Twitter expert class will move to next.

Can someone help me understand miner fees? I’m attempting to convert $500 worth of ETH to another coin and the miner fee is around $200. I’m using a Coin Base wallet.
The Ethereum chain is bloated and overcrowded. Thus it takes more gas to get transactions completed. I’d wait to try again later. If it’s a coin on Coinbase or another exchange I would just sell the Eth to USD then flip it into the coin you want.

GR Horn - she may be correct.
The way this economy is structured, with it's dependence on international capital, -- well, it almost acts like a poison pill for the rest of our economy if subsidies/free money/low interest rates are yanked.
Oh I agree. That’s why I think we’re stuck.
It’s why Powell et al keep saying it’s transitory or otherwise downplaying it. Jawboning to try to keep expectations under control because there’s not a lot of tightening that can be done.

None of that matters. Network TV is all over the inflation boogeyman and that’s their target audience. They don’t give a shit that guys like me might read the Washington post.

Its basically like clockwork.
So what are you trying to say exactly?

So you can’t read a table. Good to know.
NPR does depend on government funding. It’s also one of our most non biased news sources. Unless you have some data that proves them wrong. Oh you don’t and are jjst talking out of your ass.
I commented only on the x axis, bias. Not sure why you’re extrapolating anything else from what I said.

big surprise that you suck at reading charts as much as everything else you do

Fox News is like a millimeter more to the right than cnn is to the left. That’s why I said essentially equal in terms of bias.

Great so according to that chart CNN level of bias is essentially equal to Fox News. Thanks for sharing.
But that chart is a fucking joke. NPR falls in the neutral category? Their existence is largely dependent on leftist government funding. Lolololol
