  1. Arkansas did give Bama a bit of a game last year, but scored a meaningless touchdown in the closing seconds that distorted the actual closeness of the game. However, your point about their loss to Jimbo + Georgia, and the other reasonably close games does dull their reputation as the bullies on the block. Over the years one thing they have hurt Arkansas with is special teams. They have so much talent that their special teams are littered with four and five stars. Not that we were competitive with them most of the time, but kick or punt returns for touchdowns are somewhat demoralizing. Good luck, guys.
  2. Longhorns, kick ou's ass and make 'em like it. Not that it matters, but I posted after a Arky game that ya'll were underestimating your team, that after beating Rice and righting the ship ya'll would beat ou and all would be right with the world again. Hang 50 on them.
  3. Hey, way to go VS. Tech. Ya'll like seeing ATM get their ass beat?, Ya'll gonna kill OU.
  4. I assume you're referring to me. I posted a straightforward comment, no ill intent. If we had lost I would have congratulated you. I posted on the game thread at halftime that I wish I could be as confident as you guys were negative because I have seen Texas come from behind enough times against us that I had no level of confidence that it wouldn't happen again. I don't hate the Longhorns nor the state of Texas. Want to beat you? Absolutely. Respect the program? Absolutely, since the sixties. If this makes me an asshole, fine.
  5. Yeah, all players are too young to know unless informed. Pitt spent time with team explaining how important to Arkansas fans the game was. Even showed film of the 1969 game. Clearly that gave Arkansas an edge. I don't believe the performance of Texas was indicative of the quality of your team. Get the offensive line play up to just average and ya'll would be a totally different and much better team, IMO. You've got one of the absolute top RB in the country. I believe many of ya'll underestimate Arkansas based on our recent embarrassing seasons and underestimate the potential of this year's Longhorns. Just win next week, beat OU and the world will seem right again.
  6. Hell guys, wish I was as confident as ya'll are negative. Ya'll have come back and beat us more times than I care to remember.
  7. Looking forward to a very good game tonight. Texas clearly has more talent than Arkansas, but the football isn't round so you're never sure which way it'll bounce. I expect a fairly close game. That is more fun for the winning fans and more painful for the loser. Ya'll need to stay healthy and beat the hell out of OU. Just a bit of warning to any religious types that may stay over tonight and go to a church in the morning: If you find a church a few miles out of Fayetteville in any direction, they are probably still using snakes in their services. Maybe pick up some anti-venom at a Wal-Mart. (There's one on nearly every corner). Welcome to Arkansas. Hope that RV doesn't have any trouble climbing those hills.
  8. No man, just discouraged.
  9. Had to get an account to join in the frivolity a bit. I can understand the unbridled enthusiasm for your team at this point in time. As far as Saturday's game goes, my suggestion is to not give the points as of yet because the spread is likely going to broaden a bit. I actually hope Texas gets back to the level of its glory years. We have a number of beasts to play already, one more can't hurt. Saturday's game may be more of a battle on the field than it appears on paper. At any rate, be safe traveling. Weather's going to be grand for a football game.
