Agree wholeheartedly. It’s really really disturbing the amount of abuse people will subject themselves to in pursuit of pie in the sky dreams.
Mysteriously, falling for it doesn’t even correlate perfectly with intelligence or lack thereof. A cousin on my wife’s side is a genius physicist nanotechnology pioneer yet still ditched his kids and wife to join his True Flame. People are strange or at least really overvalue strange.

I saw 3 floor slaps right before Marquette chinked up a 3 from the 10 second line with 3.5 seconds left. Never change Skaka.
Chinked is not the preferred nomenclature. Chucked, please.

Not this shit again.
All of it can be dealt with using Ignore and direct messages to one another resolving differences. Don’t make the board collateral damage.

How do they keep managing to embarrass themselves?
The same way you get to Carnegie Hall: lots of practice.

Apologies if this exceeds triviality or should go in the stupid shit wives do thread.
Fucking boxed stuffing. My wife bought some without shame as if it wasn’t an abomination. Needless to say, I will be making real stuffing.

Quality loss. Mitchell ’s best showing in terms of being in game flow. Oyema continued to fill in admirably. Keep learning and healing.

No Shedrick. This is going to be an uphill battle.
Furk. He did look to be in pain multiple times vs Louisville though. Makes sense. We gonna lose against UConn regardless.
-
Say what you want about Louisville but it seemed like they hit every 3 and free throw. I don’t remember a Horns player hitting a 3. Glad to walk away with a win on a day like that.
Connecticut is going to kill us tomorrow though.

Abmas hitting that shot was gratifying on multiple levels. Hopefully he can build on it.

Mitchell is still a work in progress offensively. Don't think our offense should run through him. Needs to just be a slasher/crashing the boards.
Agreed. Mitchell is a complimentary player without any reliable offensive game at this point.

SIAP and all that if this has been posted and discussed. On this season’s block-charge rule change and other stuff. News to me but it’s from June.
QuoteThe NCAA Men's Basketball Rules Committee on Thursday approved several rule changes including a modification to the legal guarding position on block/charge scenarios involving defenders around the basket which will go into effect for the 2023-24 season. Under the new rule, a defender to draw a change must be in position at the time an offensive player plants a foot to go airborne to attempt a field goal. If the defender arrives after the offensive player plants a foot to launch towards the hoop, officials will be coached to call a block if or when contact occurs.
The rule change also states that a secondary defender would have to be outside the restricted area arc to legally draw a charge. Under the previous rules structure, defenders had to be in position to draw a charge beforethe offensive player went airborne.
The NCAA's Men's Basketball Rules Committee announced the changes Thursday after receiving feedback from membership that too many charges were being called throughout the season related to these types of block/charge plays. The goal in making the change will be to reduce the number of charges called and also to give officials more time to officiate the plays, the NCAA said.
"Our goal is to try to reduce the number of charges that are called," said Rick Barnes, Tennessee's coach and the committee chair, earlier this year when the rule change was initially proposed. "We want to give more time to the offensive player to adjust to defensive player movement and reduce the hard collisions that are taking place."

I'll give Lowell credit for the "Go-go-Gadget Arms" call there on Michell's oop.
I’ll give Lowell even more credit: he’s been just fine through 2 games, managing to stay connected to in-game action rather than drifting into irrelevance and inanity.

Looks like Horton was benched this half. RT didn't like his defense in the 1st half.
Definitely absent with no apparent injury.
