Amazing how aggy is so hung up on turditions and such, but loved it when Rumlin candied up their uni's for 5 years in a desperate attempt to grab attention. Wonder if anyone has pointed out to them their old daddy (as well as their new one, Bama) never joined in the "LOOK AT ME!!" alternate uniform crowd? Maybe someone should..

Blue blood programs with true winning tradition have not really embraced the alt unis other than a game here or there. Maybe that is why aggy did?

Hopefully he doesn’t get drafted by Cleveland. He can probably overcome their suckitude but hopefully we wont have to.

A cellar dweller team would get immediately better with Dicko. The stats around avg starting field position and scoring across the league are pretty remarkable. For a guy that can kill it inside the 20 80% of the time, that translates to a massive bump for defensive statistics.

I remember Al Davis drafting Janikowski in the first round 20 years ago. This would be a draft pick that I wouldn't think twice about in round 3 or 4 if I were an aggressive GM looking to find the final pieces for a playoff run.

Maybe, but taking a guy that has only played in 1 game in 2 years because of multiple knee injuries kind of tells you how desperate WV is.

1 tackle vs Western Michigan in 2 years isn't exactly "quality" help. I think WV is to the point where they just need bodies, which isn't exactly ideal.

I present to you the same desperate thinking that landed us Tristan Nickelson. We all know how that turned out.

So, where are folks thinking Poona gets drafted?  First, second or third day?

What tech does he settle in?  Where do you expect him to play?  What team may benefit from him?

What success could he have?  Backup?  Rotational?  Starter?  Pro Bowler?

My guess is day 3 pick. The rest of the answers are 100% dependent on who takes him, but I would be shocked if he does not become a starter at some point in his career.

Is Hudson expected to be ready for the start of the season?

Possibly by the start of fall camp, but big men and knee injuries can be slow heals. I doubt he is back to full strength until conference play.

Actually satyanash was his original handle. Allegedly, he forgot his password after he changed computers and thus became sarvanaash. Subsequently after the demise of the Shag, satyanash was born anew on the Surly. But he is still the same glass half empty fellow that he always is - except when it comes to Roger Federer.

I like Sarv/Sat on the board. His pessimism does tend to make things a bit more interesting. Although instead of forgetting a password, I seem to remember Satyanash getting in trouble with the locals for a particularly bad post and getting run off the board at one point....

Assuming Anderson is indeed the player most think he is, I think our starting 5 for Maryland will be:

Anderson | Vahe | Shack | Rodriguez or Okafor | Kerstetter

I'm just making shit up at right guard.  I have no idea.  Perhaps Hudson, Okafor, and Grandy can push Vahe at LG.

That is probably pretty safe, but my bet is that Grandy should win the starting RG spot.

  8. My early opinion is that Herb Hand is going to be Todd Orlando level good in how quickly and effectively he gets his unit in shape. I feel like the line is going to be what makes the biggest leap this year. Anderson will help, but getting the line to play with good technique and as a unit will work wonders.

Missing on Wilson would definitely be some buzzkill. How much impact (if any) did Baldwin signing with tOSU seem to be having on Wilson?

This one feels like it is fairly binary. If our offense takes a step forward, he is ours. If we get Beck'd, he will go tOSU.
