  1. What was with that Tech player carrying a fucking tire off the field during that last timeout?
  2. You're welcome. It was Parents Weekend, not Homecoming, but either way, there was a lot folks hanging out around tailgating. I forgot to mention that it was free, that's a bonus. I usually park on one of those streets and then head out East on Park Hill to McCart, then south to 820. Stay away from that I-30 University mess.
  3. Heard Perisic blew out his knee. Major knee injury. That sucks. NLD will be wide open. COYS!!!
  4. I thought it was good. It's based on a true story, but I'm sure reality was much different than the movie. Fairly good action flick. I watched it on the airplane a few weeks ago, and it kept me entertained.
  5. It's not great. No matter what, you're walking. I'd suggest parking in the neighborhood east of University; it's free and easy to get out after the game. Try Cockrell or Greene. It's a near straight shot across University to the East entry of the stadium. Homecoming tomorrow, so all bets are off. I ate at Cafe Bella earlier. That whole area around TCU is packed with people for Homecoming. Cafe Bella was really good and affordable. Very enjoyable.
  6. I thought it looked like one of the ships from the 1984 Dune movie.
  7. A 3 headed serpent, Thrawn's sigil. Awesome to see live.
  8. Thrawn's Star Destroyer showing the damage from where the whales wrapped around it at the end of Rebels was a nice touch too.
  9. I thought it would be hard to top last week's episode, but here we are. That's peak Filoni.
  10. Ray Stevenson put in another great performance as Blackbeard. We lost him way too soon.
  11. This is what getting back to our DNA looks like.
  12. This will go a long way in helping him. Maybe the hair color change helped too.
  13. You were right...unfortunately
  14. Strange goings on here. And the referee sucks
  15. Absolutely. Embarrassing that VAR missed it after the ref missed it.
  16. I almost feel that Filoni's treatment of Dooku, especially in Tales of the Jedi, is similar to Anakin's treatment in CWs. They are both so much better in the Filoni-verse than portrayed in the prequels. Writing, voice acting, everything.
  17. Couldn't agree more. Filoni and Lanter really crafted the definitive Anakin character. Hayden's performance was measured, deliberate, and emotional. This was the character everyone expected in the prequels. I also think what we saw was the WBW, not a vision. But, we'll see what happens in the next few episodes.
  18. Agree with all of this. The conversation between Ahsoka and Anakin during last night's episode while on Mandalore is the exact same discussion she had with Rex on the bridge of the Venator after the Siege. Two people who were born of the Clone Wars. Ahsoka who was shaped from it through her childhood, and Rex who was quite literally created for the Clone Wars. Poignant scene, and underscores their relationship. Ahsoka really questioned what she had become and what she would become. Then, moments later, she sees what Anakin has become. The 501st wearing the orange helmets out of respect to Ahsoka was a nice touch to live action last night.
  19. End credits had an interesting note. It credited Temeura Morrison as Captain/Commander Rex. Consistent with the time jumps in the episode. Captain in the first flashback and Commander at the start of the Siege of Mandalore. Would love to see an older Rex with a white beard at some point in the series.
