  1. Agree. Yesterday's equalizer fits with the bolded portion of your post. Also, I'd argue that we're almost there with respect to your last paragraph. JM told the players before the Marine match that if they lost, it was their fault and not his. He came out after the Fulham match and pretty much laid the blame at the players' feet. He has 18 months left on his contract, if I understand correctly, which will put him squarely in the Jose year 3 disaster phase of his managing life cycle.
  2. Additionally, the margin for error in those matches where a team employs that strategy, is incredibly fine. It's tough to switch on and off the attacking style, and when something goes wrong late in the match (e.g. Fulham/West Ham/Crystal Palace/Wolves), you might not have a lot of time to adjust back to an all out attack to win the match. Take into consideration rule changes, most notably VAR, and shit can go wrong quickly and further reduce the margin of error. All it takes is one reviewed call for handball (Dier) to really ruin your day.
  3. The pic of his girlfriend didn't some through on your post.
  4. He'll be fine, he'll get a couple of stitches, and he'll be fine by Sunday.
  5. https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/spurs-need-another-eriksen-ward-prowse-hoddle-mourinho/1pqsmg4od19c81u5up0p3azaa0 Interesting take by Glenn Hoddle, especially after Monday's Southampton win. Spurs definitely need a set piece specialist.
  6. Great pass by Reguilon. Sissoko getting on the board is nice.
  7. He’s been a great signing. We lost a lot in the midfield when Dembele kept getting injured and ultimately left the club. This signing has been a god send.
  8. Great set piece! Toby!
  9. Sonny! What a pass by Kane!
  10. Like Jose.. He may be an asshole but he's our asshole. We need an asshole, or even a bastard. Someone with an edge.
  11. I’d be perfectly fine with Ramos.
  12. Today’s match postponed due to Fulham’s COVID outbreak.
  13. I’ve seen the Ramos rumors. Even at 34, he’s an interesting pick up. Hadn’t seen the Eriksen one. I’d heard €12-17M to Arsenal, PSG, or United. Can’t see him going anywhere for $30M. I’d love to have him back. Don’t know that he’s be a good fit in Jose’s system, but his creativity and set pieces are desperately needed right now. Would love Mckinnie. That’s probably asking too much. Also read where Spurs are most likely not going to spend in January. I can see that after the summer spending. Bale injured in training again as well.
  14. Agree that Jose is the biggest culprit here. His style of play is boring as fuck. After that first goal, you just knew it was going to be 88 minutes of sitting back and defending, waiting on a counter attack. I can understand those tactics, to some extent, against better teams, but not against Palace and Wolverhampton. With City and United both having a match in hand on Spurs, it's going to be a dogfight for Champions League qualification. Europa might be an easier path, a la United in Jose's 2016-17 season.
  15. I don't know. Is Ndombele out there now? Again, he didn't finish the match, and aside from the goal in the opening minutes where he was in the right place at the right time off a set piece and a good pass from Davies, did he create anything of substance today? He had the one counter where he passed to Reguilon and probably should have sent it to Kane, but not much outside of that. Granted, part of that is Jose's tactics. How about the rest of that post? Was Gio named in the squad today? No. He was.......injured! I know, I'm shocked too. Title talk can stop today after dropping those points.
  16. Currently 8th on GD. Win tomorrow and we go to third. Need to win tomorrow.
  17. Gio out with an injury during the festive period as well.
