  1. Wrong. It was in Tanis, in the desert. Indy was chosen to relocate the Ark since the city had been discovered. Post-war, Tanis would still be a site that either the Axis or Allies would research and ultimately discover the Ark. It had to be relocated. Having it lost in the bureaucracy of a FDR/New Deal big government warehouse was deemed a better option than burying it the sand again. Not to go full Cloak Room. The Mediterranean Nazi island sub base is inconsequential. That's just a stop on the way to the new final resting place. It was never staying there because Indy was still with it. That's why Indy is integral to the movie.
  2. Watched the first two. They were solid.
  3. I see what you did there.
  4. Go check out the first season episode that showcased Billy Wirth and Gemini getting into a fight. It was awesome. I think Craig Johnson won it that first year. He was an ex-athlete that was better than any Gladiator. He was a physical specimen, and could have been a Gladiator himself. That first season was awesome, although the Gladiators called it the Dark Ages. I think it lost something when they went to the sets with grid lines on the floor. The older sets were fun, especially Assault. Jousting on a bridge was cool, but dangerous. I understand why they changed that one. I used to record it and watch on Sunday. Came on Saturdays at midnight or so.
  5. Jub was ready to throw hands in that segment. He was really getting worked up at the "critics". I don't know who he was referring to specifically, but even Gordo said he was "moving away" from him. That was entertaining.
  6. I enjoyed The Howling Man. I thought that was a great episode. I used to stay up late at night on weekends to watch the series in syndication. It came on right before Mission Impossible. Trying to watch both was a challenge. I'd be up till 1 or 2 in the morning. Sunday afternoons in the summer on WGN was fun too. Top 5 television series for me.
  7. I went Tuesday and it was $10.87 for a burger, fries, and drink. You must have gotten a specialty burger.
  8. M&O Station Grill opened up their Cocktail Lounge and Bar area this week. Small, but nice. I went there yesterday at lunch but didn't bother with sitting in the new area. Their updated pricing reflects the remodel. The last time I was there in April I paid $14 for a hamburger, fries, and drink. Yesterday I paid over $17. No thanks. Love their burger, but I'm not paying that when I can go to Kincaid's for $10. I am curious as to why they think they needed a cocktail lounge and bar in that location in the Foundry District. I would think anyone in that area would just go further down 7th. That Foundry District area is growing, however. Building, what looks to be, apartments right across the street from M&O.
  9. Farmers League club might pony up some cash if KM leaves, but I don't think Harry cares about playing in France. BM will have to break the £100M threshold to get him, and they're reluctant. Last I saw they were at €90M after add on's. I think he stays for now, maybe he goes if BM raises their offer.
  10. Great doc. This is what the 30 for 30 should have been. Instead, ESPN's doc is now a companion piece to Netflix's definitive documentary. Yeah, it felt like Netflix buried the lede with the old contestant. That needs an episode by itself. One other thing, Ice is smoking hot these days. I dare say she's better looking than she was in the '90s.
  11. And he's more likely to pass forwards than backwards! We needed that creativity.
  12. A big need satisfied there. Good on Levy for getting this one over the line.
  13. I can't place it.
  14. Had this been released in the last two years, it would never have made it to network television. It would be released on Peacock or Hulu. Mads did a better Hannibal than Hopkins, which I didn't think would ever be possible.
  15. I don't think Levy comes to an agreement with Brentford. Same with Maddison, don't think we can compete with Newcastle.
  16. Really enjoyed it, but they tried to do too much in season 3. However, one of the best episodes of the series is in season 3; Primavera. This would have been an even more amazing series on HBO. It's the last series I've watched from traditional network television.
  17. Reports are that we're battling it out with Newcastle for Maddison. At least we're going after a creative midfielder.
  18. If I am to believe reports about his contract being for 5 years at £10,400,000 per year (£200K per week), then that means this is his last year. In which case he can fuck off. Sell his ass and get something out of him, cause God knows we ain't gotten anything out of him the last 4 seasons.
  19. I've read 7 or more players will be leaving, Perisic, Sanchez, Winks, Tanganga, Lloris, Sessegnon, and Reguilon. Need to add Ndombele to the list. He's been at Spurs for 4 years now, and has failed 5 managers; Poch, Jose, Mason, Nuno, and Conte. I think we know what we have with him at this point and his loaned clubs don't want him and even complained about him.
  20. Elliott's shot won 3 games. Portland was never the same after that Memorial Day. Most debilitating shot I've ever seen, helped with the sweep. And I'm glad it was against Portland after the Strickland pass in '90. Strickland didn't need to make that pass, he could have turned and hit a wide open Elliott. Then Rod fucks up and commits a flagrant on Drexler. Elliott is my all time favorite Spur. Thanks for posting that piece above.
  21. Is that a lightsaber hanging from Sabine's satchel?
  22. We need a Sporting Director in place so he can hire our next manager in December. I don't know anything about this Aussie, but if we passed on all the other names that were rumored to be interested, and settled on him, he better be amazing. If he gets off to a slow start, it could be curtains for him early. Levy could fuck up a one car funeral.
  23. Yeah, and people bitch at Poch for not winning. Jesus, he didn't have any depth! Harry was out for months in 2019 with an awful ankle injury, Son and Dele were both out for extended periods with suspensions and injuries, Eriksen was being ridden into the ground because we had ZERO midfield depth, and in some games Moussa Sissoko was our best or second best player. MOUSSA SISSOKO! Yet Poch still managed to get past Dortmund, City, and Ajax. Pretty remarkable. And we don't have a manager.....still.
  24. This season was fucked well before Liverpool. That was an awful mistake, but in the grand scheme of things, it didn't matter. You should remember the UCL run in 2019. Greatest moment in club history in the past several years. He was a player. He was also the last player Poch was given back in January of 2018. Ndombele and Lo Celso came in the summer of 2019 before Poch was sacked in early November, and were battling nagging injuries that limited their usage and effectiveness. Moura was really the only impactful transfer Poch was given his last 18 months.
