  1. If we're talking about a 3 picture run, I'll submit David Lean. The Bridge on the River Kwai - 1957 Lawerence of Arabia - 1962 Doctor Zhivago - 1967 DZ was MGM's second highest grossing movie of 1967 behind the Sound of Music, after being panned by critics. Pretty good list.
  2. Enjoyable watch, thanks for posting. I thought it was great that he said he read the Washington Post every day, "mainly for The Far Side". Tom comes off as very likeable.
  3. In 1984, after coaching Michael Jordan on the gold-medal-winning U.S. Olympic team, Portland general manager Stu Inman called Knight for advice on the upcoming NBA draft. Knight counseled Inman to take Jordan, calling Jordan the best basketball player he had ever seen. Inman told Knight the Blazers already had Clyde Drexler and needed a center. Knight responded, "Then play Jordan at center."
  4. John Thompson probably had the most accurate line on Coach Knight. He said, "We often confuse being good to someone with being good for someone".
  5. Are gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?
  6. More stressful than it needed to be
  7. Immediate payoff with Johnson coming in!
  8. You can close the book on Richy...thank Christ
  9. Udogie can't come in. He's not on the bench, he's injured.
  10. Johnson needs to get in for Richarlison at half.
  11. Palace have been dangerously fouling the entire half.
  12. Big Ange and the midfield have been the biggest differences, 1 and 1a. I've been bitching for nearly 3 years about our midfield. Lo Celso and Ndombele weren't it. One had overrated technical qualities, one was moody, overweight and didn't put forth any effort. Didn't help that Jose, Nuno, and Antonio didn't want to play attacking futbol. Antonio only wanted to attack the EPL down the wings. You can't do that, you have to attack the midfield. Getting Bissouma, and more importantly, having Big Ange play him, has really solidified our midfield. Maddison was the last piece and he's putting forth a masterclass under Ange's reign. He's what we lacked since Eriksen left. Our midfield now brings to mind our midfield from 5-6 years ago with Eriksen and Dembele. I still contend that if Dembele had been fit, and not left for China in the January transfer window, our 2019 UCL final against Liverpool might have gone differently. Granted, Kane was injured, but Dembele over Sissoko would have been much better. COYS!!!! Let's get all three today against Palace!
  13. Yeah, I'd say Rudy's baby back ribs are better than Cousin's. Their regular ribs are not that good and on par with Cousin's. Sausage is about the same, Cousin's is more rubbery. AYCE at Cousin's makes it worth a try. I'm excited about Goldee's new Ribee's venture. Love everything at that place. Can't wait to have something closer in FW for good ribs. Had a pork steak sandwich at the Bodacious BBQ in Hallsville, TX two weeks ago. Daniel Vaughn had mentioned that a while back in one of his writings. Really good entry. 175 miles east of FW is quite the drive though.
  14. It's priced like craft bbq, but the quality of the food is more akin to a franchise like Rudy's. Their brisket is really good, their ribs are average to above average, their sides are good. Their chicken quarters are smallish, but decent. Not a fan of the sausage, very rubbery. Overall, I visit there occasionally but the price keeps me from going more often, even though it's convenient. It's good, but I'd rather go elsewhere (Goldee's, Cattleack) if I'm in the mood for a great bbq experience. Picking up something after work for a quick dinner, it's perfect. But Rudy's is better, and that's what I'd compare it to. The all you can eat special sounds like it would be worth it. Go try it and see what you think, it's worth a try. FYI, Texas Monthly put the Bryant Irvin location on it's Honorable Mention list from the top 50 issue in the 2017 timeframe, so there's that.
  15. I love Temple as well, and it has a great opening sequence, but Raiders is just a far superior sequence. Also, another great Raising Arizona line I use is "so many social engagements, so little time"
  16. USA Network and Paycock. I imagine with our match Friday, we'll be subbing quite a bit
  17. Hopefully, Johnson is fit enough to come in later.
  18. COYS!!!!! International breaks suck
